Rose's P.O.V

I entered my building and went inside the elevator with Max and told him to go straight to the home office.

I own this whole building but the top 4 floors are exclusively mine I live in the second last (my penthouse) the bottom two are for my staff (chauffeur, bodyguards, maids, cooks, housekeepers etc.) And the top floor is my home office.

I entered the office room and saw Matt was already there I nodded at him and went to my chair and put my handbag on table and took my seat before I turned to Matt and asked

"What is so urgent matt?"

"Mam, I think Mr. Arterbery has already called you so there are two things first is the new Project and the second is the Elite Board Meeting which is tomorrow."

I opened my phone and checked the date. Oh.Shit.

The day after tomorrow is the most worst day of my life how can I forget.
But it's fine I will go there like every year

"Okay Matt I want you to do all the arrangements for tomorrow and give me the file and details of the new Project also ask dad whether this project will be presented in front of Elites you have 30 minutes."

He nodded and left for the work and to tell you the truth I am a ruthless businesswoman when it comes to business I am all Cold and I value time very much.

20 minutes later a knock on my door stopped my work I said come in and the door opened revealing Matt

"Mam the file and the Project will be discussed tomorrow with the Elites is confirmed"

"When is the meeting"

" 11:30 Am mam"

"Thank you Matt you may leave"

With a polite nod he left I go through the file and completed the work I checked the time it is already past midnight 1:45 am I need to sleep so I went to my penthouse and slept tomorrow is an important day.

I got up on the sound of alarm and checked the time 7AM. I went straight to have a shower than head towards dining room to have some coffee and breakfast.
It's already 8 o'clock so I went to choose the outfit for meeting, after a long debate in my mind I wore a blue formal suit and checked the time 9 am Oh My God I have wasted so much time.

I never get this frustrated not even in front of Elites because they are my bestfriends's fathers so not a big deal just I have to be presentable that I am because they had seen me grown up but this is the first time I am a bit nervous and that is why I am checking time again and again.

I went to elevator and entered my office's password and opened the door and took the two files out and did a review of all things and by the time I was done with first file and half of the second file there was a knock on my door I said come in before going back to read the file.

"Mam it time we should head to company's headquarter"

"Matt take this file I will compete the review of other one in the car, let us go"

He nodded and took the files we head down well in private elevator I only use it in Emergency and know I want to reach fast today I went straight to my limousine the door was already open for me I nodded at Max and sat inside removed my sunglasses before taking the file and I checked the time on my wrist watch 10:30 Okay I have time.

By the time I reached office I was done with reviewing and I headed to the elevator and Matt and Max followed me I went straight to my dad's office it's already 11 only half hour left on my way to dad's office my phone beeped it's a massage from Dark

"Rose are you alright? You didn't came school today everything Okay??"

I smiled at the concern after such a long time I genuinely felt someone (except from my friends and family) cared for me I replied

"I am fine it's just I am not coming for 2-3 days thanks for asking 😊"

I added a emoji after a long time I used emoji.

"Looks like someone had relaxed your mind Rose"

I turned around and Matt is smiling at me

"C'mon Matt stop teasing me it's just a friend"

"Say it to yourself, well we are already here, if you forget to notice"

Well Matt is more than a bodyguard and assistant to me he is also a good friend I know him such a long time.

I knocked at dad's door I heard a come in and opened the door and went inside

"I was waiting for you Princess"

He said as he hugged me

"Sorry dad but I am on time"

"Okay Let's go to the meeting room my assistant had already set everything"

My dad said and I nodded and we walked out and took the elevator to top floor and entered the meeting room I checked the time again it's 11:20 okay it's time and I took my seat as everyone started entering one by one everyone passed me a smile that I returned.

It is been a hour and half now I am done explain the project and everyone had passed their suggestions and now this project will start by the end of the week.

My dad stood up and cleared his throat to get everyone's attention now it's time for it.

"Gentlemen now we are done with the discussion about this upcoming project so I want tell you all a news as friends"

Everyone smiled and nodded to continue dad sat in his chair before continuing

"I think we should declare Rose's true identity as Arterbery to the world"

Everyone looked at me I smiled and than everyone said that it is the time that I should introduce myself as Arterbery and told my dad that we should release it in a press conference.

"I was thinking that in three weeks it's Rose's birthday we can through a party on that day and invite all our business partners, media and all and tell them all about this and the next day we can call some well known journalists from the important news agencies and can have a press conference, what do you all think"

Everyone agreed to it and with that we ended the meeting and all of them one by one say some encouraging words to me and after that we all had lunch together.

It's 3 o'clock in afternoon and I am still in dad's office doing some work about our human resource management project and in one hour I have to attend a meeting with one of the branch managers for all the work I just finished all the reading work and reviewing when my phone vibrates it's Dark I picked it up and held it near my ear

"Hello Dark"

"Hey Miss. Perfect Parker how are you"

"You stop calling me that and I am fine"

"Okay Okay do get angry Rose and tell me are you coming for the practice today"

"Umm. About that I think I can't"

"Why??"

"Actually I am at my parents place so I will not be coming for next 2 days probably"

"Oh. Well than what about the project day after tomorrow we have to show the darft"

"I will email you the draft tomorrow morning you just have to go through it she may ask you questions"

"Okay than I will send my email address to your number,
Bye take care"

"Bye you too take care"

I cut the call and for an unknown reason I am smiling maybe because he is concerned. Whatever I have enough time before the meeting so I took out the finance report of last 2 months and go through it well something is odd so I called Matt and asked him to come inside, soon their is a knock on the door I asked the person to come in and Matt appeared from behind the doors

"Mam you called me something important"

"Matt I want you to check the finance report of the company of last 2 months and if you find anything fishy about the reports than check of the previous months also and remember don't tell dad about it investigate it secretly, understood"

Okay Rose just relax a bit when you come to the company you act like a pure businesswoman take a break and do some fun you are losing your inner child in such a young age"

"Yes grandpa Matt I will"

I laughed at his expression

"Ok Okay I will not call you grandpa but you really looks like one when you give me advice grandpa Matt"

I said trying to control my laugh

"You called me grandpa two times in same sentence"

"Okay I will not now go and check it and by the time my meeting is over I want it in my office"

He nodded and went away I checked the time 10 minutes left before the meeting so I went outside and went to the adjacent door

'Vice President & Human Resource Development Branch Director Rose Jade Arterbery'

Was written in bold letters on a golden plate on front of my office I smiled at it and opened the door and sat on my chair and took the files and in no time there was a knock on my door and I said come in

Mr. Mark my Branch's manager came inside

"Good evening Miss. Arterbery How are you?"

"I am good Mr. Mark I hope you are doing Well too"

"I am also doing fine Miss. Arterbery, and what is the new project"

"So Mr. Mark the new project is .........."

I explained him the details and than he left and I checked on the other files and the time went by I also emailed Dark about the assignment just a minute later he called

"Hey Rose"
"Hello Dark, I hope you got the mail"
"Yeah, so what will you take for not speaking with me in your business tone"
"Well I will take nothing for that"
"Rose wanna hangout"
"I wish I could but I can't because I am stuck and will get time day after tomorrow"
"Hmm."
"Well how was school today"
"Boring as hell without you even the coach said we look perfect partners in basketball"
"Is that so, well we do play good together anyway anything new"
"Yeah did you saw the new that Arterbery's are going to reveal about there only heir"
"Yeah so?"
"My dad is invited wanna join me"
"I will see"
"Okay"

With that said I hung up and saw it's already 6 o'clock so I went outside and Matt was coming in my direction looking furious

"Hey Matt everything Okay"
"Rose I need to tell you something Let's go and talk in your office"

I nodded giving him a confused look and walked back to my office with him behind me, we entered and took our seats and I asked

"What's the matter Matt you look quite furious"

He put file on table and began

"Rose you asked me to investigate about the finance report before the meeting, remember"

I nodded him to continue

"Well your doubt was correct and someone is doing something wrong with the reports and profits"

"Who?and what?"

"Well I investigated every thing and Me. Arterbery don't knows anything and that's the file of my investigation"

"I am going to rip that bastards throat apart"

"Calm down and go tell your dad"

"Yeah but first I will read it"

With that I stared going through all the details and it's a scam of
ONE MILLION

BLOODY HELL!!

someone has signed his death certificate

And I saw the photo of the person and background and all and this time I am not leaving him I got up and went to my dad's office and knocked and entered.

He was on phone and gustered me to sit down after a minute or two he cut the call and asked

"Every thing alright"
"No"
"What's the matter"
"Someone have a death wish"
With that I put the file in front of him and said

"Dad in afternoon I checked the finance report of last two months and I think they were some what fishy so I asked Matt to do the investigation and we have a scam of one million it's not that big but I will not leave the traitor"

He looked at me and smiled

"My daughter is a business woman and I leave this matter up to her to do what she want and I know she will do the best"

I gave him a evil skrim and got up

"Your daughter is going to do the best"

And with that I went out and called Matt and Max and went to the elevator with the evidence in my hand and to the finance department and wore my mask and goggles and everyone got out of my way and I made my way to Mr. Bolton's office and opened the door without warning with Matt and Max in tow behind me and that bastard was having a bitch sitting in his lap

"Who are you?"
He growled and the bitch was sending daggers at me and I skrimed in my mask and said

"Miss. Arterbery"

And the look on his face was priceless and the bitch got off his lap quick

"Get out"
I pointed at her and she left with her head down

"Looks like you were having a great time Mr. Bolton, am I correct?"

"I am sorry for that Miss. Arterbery"

"I think we are paying you a good salary Mr. Bolton, are we?"

I said sitting in the seat next to his and he is standing in front of me and I rotate in my chair

"Yes Miss. Arterbery"

"Are you satisfied with it or you want more?"

"I am satisfied Miss. Arterbery"

I hold my hand out and Matt gave me the file

"But I don't think I can say the same for your work Mr. Bolton"

"Did I do something wrong Miss. Arterbery"

"Wrong"

I spat and threw the file at his table that made a loud noise and I see many employees are watching

"See yourself what you did Mr. Bolton"

He opened the file and looked at me horrified and trembling in fear

"I think you get what I want you to know now care to explain why the hell you did this"
I asked I an cold tone

I looked at him he didn't utter a word

"I don't have all day Mr. Bolton"

"I am sorry Miss. Arterbery"
And that's it

"I am not here to hear your fucking apology answer my question now"

"I needed money"

"Any particular reason"

He shook his head and I already know what he did with all the money because I already investigated his account and transactions

"I think we pay you more than enough money Mr. Bolton"
With that said I looked at Matt again he handed me another file the bank details I opened it and started telling about where he wasted all the hard earned profit bloody bastard he payed it to girls to sleep with.

And he was embarrassed

"I am sorry Miss. Arterbery"
A fucking apology

"You are fired Mr. Bolton I don't tolerate traitors and you are blacklisted"

"What? You can't do that!"

"You better know what I am capable to do, and now before you want to be dragged out by my bodyguards and security; pack your stuff and get out of my company before I sue you. You have five minutes and I don't tolerate laziness"

I sat in the chair and looked out to see the employees gossiping as now the bastard left.

I got up and walked in the middle of the floor

And I said

"Everyone tomorrow you will have a new boss till than Mr. Mark manager of Human Resource Development will be incharge here am I clear"

Everyone answered with yes

"I also want that all the ladies staff that worked under Mr. Bolton to tell the HR department if they were ever got harrassed by Mr. Bolton i don't tolerate my employees getting harassed now go back to work"

Everyone nodded and I see many ladies were happy at my decision an with that I went to the private elevator.

Door closed and I removed my mask and goggles.

"Well Rose that was interesting, and his face was priceless"

I laughed at it when I remember the way was trembling

I went to dad's office to tell him that every thing is settled and he said he had watched the live telecast on the screen and said I will be a great boss and he is proud of me how I did all the things and smiled and told Mr. Mark to look after the team and also asked him to take the interviews.

So with that I went home and the day was quite eventful.

I need to sleep tomorrow is a long day.

Today I have to go to church and then graveyard at last in our old place I wish they were here today.

I miss them a lot.
