Nya's P.O.V.

"Do we have all the necessary machine parts?" I ask. I'm in Jay's workshop. Zane and Pixal are in two piles. Although Zane seems to be shut off (though not dead), Pixal's head is still operational. "According to my blueprints, yes. Although it will be difficult to reassemble Zane and I, I believe you will be able to do it." "Okay, that means I should get started. Without you or Zane, we don't have any idea how to fix people if Cole-gets them again." Jay says, cracking his knuckles. "Especially since we can't lose Lloyd." He gives me a knowing look, like, even though it could easily be one of us, it won't be. "I observe you two know something you are not telling the others." Pixal's head says. " Why would  we hide something if it could help everyone?" Jay says, giving me a pointed look. How much does he know about my dream? Does he know that death is coming?

I'm going to go check on Lloyd.

Lloyd's P.O.V.

   I'm next. Although no one's saying that directly, I know I am. Everyone thinks I can't deal with this. But sometimes being a kid has its advantages, like I'm more observant than you might think. And I'm brave. Most importantly, I'm not a baby.

    Kai doesn't get this. He's kept me cooped up in this stupid stuffy smelly room for AGES, sitting in some uncomfortable swivel chair. Worse, he hasn't even let me play video games because it's "too loud" and "Cole might find us". Buddy, I'm pretty sure he knows where we are at all times. Also, as much as he denies it, Cole's after Jay and his sister. He doesn't even care what I'm doing. The real reason I'm not allowed to do anything is because Skylor is sleeping and heaven forbid I awaken his beloved!

Gimme a break.

   What nobody realizes is, I'm the green ninja! The Ultimate Spinjitzu Master! Kai, or Nya, or anyone else doesn't need to protect me. I'm the one who should be protecting them!

Sure, I'm scared. I admit it! Terrified out of my mind! But I was scared when I faced the Overlord, or Chen, and remember how well that turned out! I only got a broken leg and my powers drained.

      Okay, so maybe I see the source of some of their concern. But the point is, I'm strong! Ninjago wouldn't even be here if it weren't for me! I think I can take Cole.

           I hear a snore and look to see that Kai's slumped over, fast asleep. His spiky porcupine hair is poking an equally sleeping Skylor in the face. Classic. And the best part is, now I'm free! I'm about to start playing video games (volume low, of course) when I see something moving out of the corner of my eye. Startled, I whip around but there's nothing there. The same thing happens on the other side. This time, I catch a flash of black.

"Hello, Greeny." A low, hoarse voice says. "Miss me?"

Slowly, shakily, I turn the swivel chair around. Standing right there is my old pal Cole.

But he's not like Cole anymore.

      His skin is deathly pale, almost translucent, so that I can see some of his veins, especially the ones around his eyes. They look black. His eyes are devoid of color and emotion, all that's left are black pools of hatred. His hair is so pointy I could be impaled on it. His body has grown longer, thinner, and sharper, his hands with claws like knives. His teeth look razor sharp. And he's looking at me.

I scoot the chair back on its wheels.

"I was kind of hoping for you to put up some kind of fight, Green Ninja. But you're too much of a coward."

Then he says it.

"You're too much of a baby."

"That's not true!"

"Nobody cares about you."

"No!"

"Everyone has someone except you."

"Shut up shut up shut up!!!!"

"Goo." He grins evilly on this.

"Shut your mouth! I hate you!"

"Hate is a strong word, Lloydiekins. Are you sure you can handle it?" Cole says, sticking out his bottom lip.

This ends now.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!" I scream, and launch myself at Cole. He will feel the wrath of the green ninja.

Nya's P.O.V.

       I'm halfway to the living room when I hear a shrill scream of rage. A scream that could've only come from the impressive pipes of Lloyd. What's happening?

Kicking down the door, I see Kai and Skylor staring with shock at Lloyd-fighting Cole?

     Yes, Cole. Looking exactly as he did in my dream. As I watch, Lloyd uses his small hands to try to scratch Cole in the face but he just laughs and bats him aside. Lloyd goes flying against the wall and Cole rises up, heading over to him. With one swift movement, Lloyd is being held in one of his talons by the neck.

"Cole!  What are you doing? Let go of Lloyd this instant!" I say with as much force as I can.

Cole just laughs. "You think you can scare me, sweetheart? In your dreams."

"Get. Away. From. Lloyd." Kai says, the first thing he's said in over a day. His whole body is slightly on fire, his eyes flickering with the reflection of the flames.

"Make me, Hothead." Cole scoffs. Kai charges but Cole just holds out the hand he's not using to grasp Lloyd and a sharp spire of rock shoots out of the ground. Kai runs right into it and falls to the floor.

Lloyd kicks his short legs, trying to get free, but with no use. Cole's vise like grip is almost legendary.

     I hear footsteps and heavy breathing behind me, probably Jay having heard the commotion and come to check it out. This is confirmed when Cole says, "And  we are joined by Motormouth. I guess now that we have a full house I can do this."

     He suddenly makes two deep cuts in an X over Lloyd's heart. Lloyd gasps with pain and tears spill out of his emerald green eyes. His long eyelashes flicker as he fights not to pass out.

" Stop it!" I scream. "You're hurting Lloyd! You're hurting a child!"

"That's the point." Cole says, curling his lip. But he drops Lloyd to the ground. Lloyd makes a thud as he hits the floor. "I guess we've come to the end of our little list. No more friends left to injure."

     Cole's mouth curves into a grotesque smile. "Guess it's time to kill." He looks right into my face with his dark pooling eyes. "One last chance, Nya. Join me now, before I'm forced to do something I regret." I think back on the attacks, the notes, the dreams. "I won't join you. You won't kill anyone. You will just leave Ninjago and never come back." I say, trying to be calm and collected.

"Is that a no?" He whispers. It seems as if the whole world is standing still.

"Yes." I say firmly. "That is a no."

"I guess I have no choice. I love you, Nya. But sometimes you can be so incredibly frustrating." Cole growls. He blinks once, then turns over his shoulder, makes one extremely fast movement near the wall and  disappears in a cloud of darkness. I go to the wall and see exactly what I was expecting. The signature sign-off.

This isn't just child's play anymore.  This is the real world. We'll all get hurt.
