Night at the Club

Ezra

We arrive at the club, and the sun has just set; streaks of purple are visible in the sky. "Damn Tali, I didn't get a good look at you cause I focused on driving but you are on fire tonight," Zack said with his amazed expression.

Tali giggled. "Are we going to head in or are we standing here all night?"

"Keep your eyes in your damn head, Zack," I threatened.

"Dude, chill. I'm not trying to hit on your fiancee," Zack raised his hands.

"Are you boys coming or what?" Tali said by the club's front door.

We stopped by the bar counter while Zack met up with Karin.

"I'm guessing Karin is his girlfriend?" Tali said.

"I dunno if he would call her his girlfriend, more like just having fun with each other. Anyway, want a drink?" I said.

"Sure, Penicillian please," Tali asked. "A personal favorate of mine,"

"You don't seem like a Penicillian girl. To this day, I find it funny that Sam Ross named a drink after the most outstanding medical discovery,"

"It's funny to me as well, but don't presume to know me or what type of girl I am," Tali scoffed.

"Okay damn, Penicillin it is," I said as I asked the bartender for the drink. "Penicillin and a bottle of beer when you're ready please," it didn't take long for the bartender to get our drinks ready, and I passed Tali's drink to her. "Here you go. So what are you majoring in?" I asked her.

"Biology, I'm leaning towards being a pediatrician, and it will be a long road," Tali said.

"How long of a road are we talking?" So Tali wants to help children, an admirable goal and career.

"Roughly about eleven years give or take," Tali shrugged.

"Wow, that's a lot of schooling, I'm in business," I said.

"Business eh? Is that so you can take over your father empire?" Tali placed her drink on the counter and crossed her arms.

"No, I just like business. Besides, I haven't decided if I'm taking over anything yet," I said.

"Do you even have a choice in that department?" Tali said.

"Who knows, but my father is still hearty and healthy. I'm sure it will be a while," I still don't know what I want, but I can't let her know that. Why the fuck am I telling her shit? I better watch what I say around her.

"I have to use the restroom, I won't be long," Tali said as she grabbed her purse and walked to the bathroom. I nodded.

I soon felt smooth hands wrap around my chest. "Hey lover, I missed you," Samara whispered.

"Hey Samara," I said. Jesus Christ, this can't be happening right now.

"When did you get back?" Samara asked as she took a seat.

"Today and it wasn't the trip I thought it was going to be," I said.

"Do you fancy heading back to my dorm room and we can talk about it?" Samara cooed.

"Not tonight Samara," I said.

"Why not?" Samara backed up.

"I'm back. Hope you didn't miss me too much," Tali said behind me. Crap, I thought I would get rid of Samara before she got back. "I'll have another Pennisillin baby,"

Baby?! What is she up to?

"Who is this?" Samara sounded cold.

"Samara this is Tali. Tali, this is Samara," I introduced them.

"Hello, Samara. I can't say I have heard much about you," Tali grinned devishly. Tali wants to start trouble. "It's always nice to meet Ezra's friends,"

"And what are you to Ezra?" Samara asked.

My blood ran cold. Don't fucking say it.

"I'm Tali Santiago, Ezra's fiancee," Tali said with pride.

Samara gasped. Damn it, damn you, Tali. "His what?" Samara said. "Ezra, is this true?"

"Yes, it's true," Samara tried to slay me, but I dodged, and she fell to the floor. I wanted to help her up, but she refused. She dusted herself off.

"Go to hell, Ezra!" Samara grunted and left. I turned to Tali.

"Are you happy now?" I asked.

"Yep," Tali laughed.

"Tali, go sit your little ass down over there until I go try and fix this mess you made," I scoffed.

"Nope, I'm getting another drink," Tali said.

"Tali, don't you fucking start. I'm already losing my shit with you, now SIT!" I clenched my teeth. Tali rolled her eyes and sat down at the booth I pointed at. Tali will fucking pay for this. That little troublemaker. I should find Samara first and see if she will let me explain. I went to Zack, who was talking with Karin. "Zack, did you see Samara?"

"No, why? What happened?" Zack asked.

"Tali happened," I said. "Tali introduced herself as my fiancee.

Zack laughed. "Well shit, I wouldn't have thought Tali had it in her,"

"Exactly man. This little innocent attitude she has got going on in all an act. I swear to god I will gag her next time,"

I walked off to find Samara, but it appeared that she had left the club entirely. I was incredibly frustrated and returned to the bar and drank another beer. "Hey man, did you catch up with Samara?"

"No, she must've gone home. This sucks Zack," I groaned.

"You said she was only a bit of fun anyway, so there's no damage done," Zack smiled.

"She is only a bit of fun but there is no reason to hurt her unnecessarily," I explained.

"Aww, you're really a tart with a heart behind that rough exterior," Zack chuckled.

"As I said, there is no reason why Samara needs to get hurt. I don't hurt women, not if it can be avoided. Did you see where Tali went?" I said.

"Karin and I talked about you being engaged and Samara not taking that lying down. I said that we shouldn't do anything until we have to, and then I talked to Tali for a bit when you started looking for Samara. She went to the bathroom," Zack explained.

"Classy, isn't she?" I shook my head. Then I saw Tali dancing, and she was dancing horribly. Oh my god, she can't dance; something shoots me now, or a cup of bleach so I can blind myself.

"That girl is all yours, my friend," Zack laughed. "She was also drinking when you started looking for Samara," I rolled my eyes. Great. "I better get back to Karin. Enjoy the rest of the night,"

"I will see you at home. I need to get her out of here," Zack nodded, and I walked over to the dance floor.

"Oh here comes Mr. Serious to ruin all the fun," Tali hiccuped. She is drunk out of her wits.

"Come on Tali, you are drunk and it's time to leave," I said.

"You mean you're leaving. I am staying here," Tali said. "Nobody tells me what to do," Tali continued to dance.

"How much have you had to drink?" I asked.

"None of your concern," Tali turned her back on me.

"Tali," I called her, but she didn't answer. "Tali!" No answer again. This woman is seriously pushing my buttons. "TALI!" I yelled.

Tali, at last, turned around to face me. "What god damn it?"

"I said we are leaving," I repeated.

"And I said, I don't take orders from you," Tali smiled. "So run along and find your girlfriend and order her about," Then Tali placed her hand on her stomach. "I think I'm going to be sick," Tali quickly ran outside, and I followed to see her puking everything she drank in an ally.

"That's what you get for drinking so much," I said.

Tali gasped for air after she puked again. "Shut up you prick,"

"Do you really have to swear so much?" I said. "You're a woman for god's sake. It's so unattractive,"

"Munch me bitch," Tali wiped her mouth.

"Are you ready to go home now?" I asked.

"Yes, I am. But only because I want to go and not because you are telling me. Let's go," Tali said, walking and stumbling to the car.

I drove us home, and Tali remained silent the whole way. I guided her to my bedroom. She better sleep on a soft bed so she can sleep this off. "Dibs on the first shower," Tali said weakly, and she strolled to the bathroom.

Dibs? What the fuck is that? Hell, if I know. I waited in the living room for Tali to finish so I could shower, but she had been taking a shower for a while now. I didn't hear the water running, so she must be done now. I knocked on the door and only heard crying. Now, what's wrong with her? I opened the bathroom, and thank god she was wearing clothes. "Tali, something wrong?" I asked.

"Like you care," Tali hissed.

"Tali, I care. Please talk to me," I said. "What's wrong?"

"Trevor hasn't called me, I miss him," Tali cried.

"He will call you; surely he will," I smiled. What I find strange is that he has yet to call Tali. I thought he loved her.

"Do you really think so?" Tali wiped her tears.

"Of course. Trevor would be crazy to let you go without a fight," I said.

Tali gave a small smile. "Thanks," Then Tali kissed me. Our kiss lasted for five seconds before I pulled away.

"We shouldn't have done that," I back away.

"Why not?" Tali's face grew pale.

"Because it will complicate things further. We are both involved with other people," I said.

"And that bothers you?" Tali asked.

"No. Yes. Look I don't know, it's just too messy right now," I said quickly.

"You're right, I'm sorry. It was my fault. I had way too much to drink," Tali said.

"I kissed you back, I'm as much to blame. Let's never mention it again, deal?" Tali said.

"Deal. I'm going to take a shower, take all the time you need to finish," I said.

"Oh no problem, but I'm already done, so you can take your shower. And don't worry, I didn't use all the hot water," Tali laughed. She left the bathroom.

That was weird. Now, Tali had better tell the truth about not using all the hot water, but if she did, I wouldn't mind taking a cold shower.
