Welcome to the Family, Aerith Halliwell

Damian

The nurses moved Evelyn to the delivery room and the nurse gave her the epidural at her request. The nurse also said the baby would arrive in a few hours.

"Are you feeling okay?" I asked.

"It hurts, but I have been through this before; I know what to do. I need to breathe," Evelyn breathed.

I helped Evelyn through the long hours of labor; I missed everything when Ezra first entered this world, and I am not missing the birth of my daughter. "Push Evelyn, you can do this," I held her hand. The doctor and nurse assisted.

"I can't, I can't do this!" Evelyn shouted.

"You're doing great; she's almost here; I can see the head.

Evelyn screamed and pushed with all she had. "You looking kind of pale, Mr. Halliwell," the doctor said.

"I'm fine; your focus should be on my wife, not me," I glared.

Then, everyone heard the loud cries of a baby. I think everyone in the hospital heard it. "Wow," I smiled as I looked at my daughter.

"Is she okay?" Evelyn said with worry.

"She's perfect, Evie," I smiled. The nurse cleaned my daughter up, wrapped her in hospital baby clothes, and placed her next to Evelyn. We were left alone to gaze in awe of our sleeping baby girl. "Welcome to the world, Aerith Evelyn Halliwell. Daddy loves you," I kissed my daughter's forehead and looked at Evelyn. "I love you,"

"Aerith has your eyes, Damian, the color green," Evelyn smiled.

"Yes, but Aerith looks just like you, she's perfect," I smiled.

I took Aerith in my arms as she made some noise. "Shush, little one. Your mother is trying to get some rest. You were hard work, princess. I hope it's not a sign of things to come." I could tell that my daughter would be a troublemaker.

Evelyn and I were allowed to take Aerith home two days later, and we had already prepared the nursery in advance. Everyone wanted to meet the newest addition to the Black Dragon Family.

"She really is beautiful, boss," Pheonix said.

"Takes after her daddy," I said as my baby clasped her hand around my finger.

"Keep telling yourself that. It's going to be a full-time job minding this one when the boys start knocking on our door," Coop laughed.

"Shut the hell up, Coop," Parker elbowed Cooped.

"No daughter of mine will be dating," I said.

"I don't think it works that way boss, you can't control who your daughter dates," Phoenix said.

"Watch me, she will be single for the rest of her life and the first fucker that ever dates her will get a bullet between the eyes, boy or girl, it be a lesson to all the rest," I threatened.

"Boss, you have it bad," Greg shook his head and giggled.

"What are you doing in here," I hear Evelyn behind us.

"Just taking care of the princess, Evelyn," Pheonix said.

Evelyn smirked. "It takes all five of you to look after a newborn baby girl?"

"What can we say? Aerith has us all wrapped around her finger already," Greg smiled.

"Five big, bad, hard Black Dragons brought to their knees by a baby. I worry for the future of this gang," Evelyn joked. "Go on, get out of here, unless you want to see a baby suckle on my teat. Unless you want to watch,"

"Nope, we're out of here," Pheonix said as the others followed him. Evelyn's eyes focused on me.

"What the hell was that about?" I scoffed.

"What? Breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world," Evelyn said. She picked up Aerith and positioned her. "Breastfast time, sweetie,"

Evelyn sat down on the rocking chair. I went behind her and kissed her neck.

"If you keep pissing me off, I'll get you pregnant again, and that'll keep you quiet," I said.

"Do you really think that you could cope with me being pregnant again?"

"Fair point. I'm going to feed our son, you stay here and continue to feed our daughter," I whispered in her ear.

"Good plan, I'll see you later," Evelyn whispered.

"Oh, and Evelyn, those shorts you are wearing, burn them, they look too good on you, and I don't want another man in the house and beyond to look at you. I might kill them," I left the room.

Night soon came, and Aerith would not stop crying. I was pacing back and forth, trying to calm her down. "Come on, kid, you're killing me here. You're acting like your mother now,"

Soon, she calmed down, and I placed her back in her crib. Raising Ezra and Aerith will be rough, but I love every second.

(5 Years Later)

"Good morning my beautiful family," Evelyn said, walking to the dining table.

"Morning, baby," I kissed Evelyn's cheek.

"Mommy's not a baby, Daddy," Aerith said after eating her cereal.

"Well, she sulks like a baby, princess," Aerith laughed. "I'll collect Ezra from school today; he has training," I said.

"Again? Damian, please," Evelyn said.

"Yes again, you know the story, Evie, so don't start," I said. "We won't be late," Evelyn nodded and walked away. I went after her. "Evelyn, why are you still fighting this, you know Ezra is the Black Dragon heir,"

"Doesn't mean I have to like it," Evelyn said.

"No, but it would help if you didn't complain about it in front of Ezra," I said.

"Very well," Evelyn submitted.

I kissed her forehead. "I'll call you later. Ezra, let's go. I'll drop you off at school on the way to the warehouse," I called.

I dropped Ezra off at school and told him to have a good day; he smiled and left the car. I arrived at the warehouse shortly after. Pheonix was waiting for me. He saw on my face that some things were troubling me.

"What's up with you?" Pheonix asked.

"I want to spend a few hours training Ezra today," I said.

"Oh, good idea. Ezra is a little warrior," Pheonix sipped his beer.

"Ezra is still a bit soft; we need to harden him up. He's too much of a mommy's boy. We have time, Ezra is still young. Pheonix, it's time to cut the apron strings," I said.

"Speaking of, how's Aerith?" Pheonix said.

"That child will be the death of me. I swear I can't shower, and she's hanging from my leg," I groaned. "Like mother, like daughter, but she has my temper, and that will make her dangerous when she reaches high school; she's smart, smarter than Ezra. I didn't think it was possible, but Evelyn and I made a clone of Evelyn, but worse,"

Pheonix joined me in picking up Ezra from school, and we took him to the training grounds. "Dad, Pheonix, why are we here?" Ezra said, looking disinterested.

"Target practice, son," I said.

Ezra groaned as he rolled his eyes. "I know know to shoot,"

"Not outside, you don't. You must be aware of your surroundings and sense danger before it happens," Pheonix explained.

"Why?" Ezra shrugged.

"So you don't get shot or killed," I said.

"You got shit, didn't you Dad?" Ezra snickered.

Pheonix held back a laugh. "Okay, smart ass, turn around and start shooting. Let's see what you're made of,"

We practiced shooting and gun drawing speed until I noticed the sun was beginning to set, and we drove home. Ezra went straight to bed after eating, while Evelyn had difficulty putting Aerith to bed. I reassured Evelyn that I would handle it.

I knocked on Aerith's door. "Why aren't you in bed, princess?"

"I am in bed, Daddy," Aerith pouted.

"Okay, why arent you asleep?" I corrected myself.

"I'm not tired. I want a drink," Aerith said.

Oh, not this again. "Your mother told me you had a glass of water and you had dinner not too long ago. Now lay down,"

"Will you sleep in here with me?" Aerith said.

"What about mom? She will be lonely without me. How about I sit here until you go to sleep," I offered.

"No," Aerith shook her head.

"If you go to sleep, I'll let you have a chocolate donut for breakfast," I said.

Aerith smiled, layed down, and closed her eyes. "You have to stay until I fall asleep,"

"Of course," I smiled. It didn't take long for Aerith to sleep soundly. I gently kissed her head and left her bedroom to return to mine. "Evelyn, that daughter of ours is killing me," When I finished my words, I saw Evelyn lying on the bed, waiting for me, wearing red lace.

"Hey, papa bear," Evlelyn winked as she bit her lip sensually.

"Okay, what did you do? I can read you like a book. You put pull stuff this unless you want something or have done something," I said.

"Would you give me anything I want?" Evelyn asked.

I gave her a devilish smirk. "I might need more convincing," I got on top of Evelyn, pinned her arms with my hands, and kissed her.

"Damian, I want to get married," Evelyn said. "I want to get married for real this time,"

"You mean you want to renew our vows," I smiled.

Evelyn smiled. "Just me, you, and the kids. On a beach, someone hot, and after that, a sweet honeymoon in Hawaii,"

I smiled. "I would love the chance to marry you again, I love you Evelyn Halliwell, let's get married,"
