Lives of the Halliwells
Evelyn
Aerith chose a fabulous shirt and pants to wear for the party. I made sure that it would be up to Damian's standards. Luckily, my daughter doesn't dress badly. She loves wearing clothes that match and cares about how she looks in front of others.
"There's my husband, the love of my life," I kissed his cheek as he entered our bedroom. "Biggest player in New York City," I scoffed.
"I sensed sarcasm in that last sentance," Damian winked.
"Don't you think I don't know what you've done? You pretended Aerith couldn't go to the party when you had already told her she could," I yelled. "I found out when I told her to get ready to go, and she told me everything while she was playing games on her phone or whatever the hell she does,"
"I just love seeing you beg, babe," Damian smiled. "Don't hate the player, hate the game, baby,"
"You are an asshole, are you ever going to grow up?" I said.
"So I told a little white lie. It's not the end of the world," Damian shrugged.
"Let's see if it's the end of the world after a week in bed on your own," I said.
Damian laughed. "Alright, I'm sorry,"
"You will be!" I walked out of our bedroom. But then Damian grabbed my arm and held me tightly against his warm, hard chest. I feel my cheeks turn red.
"Aww, baby, come on, I'm sorry," I gently pushed him off me.
"Nope, I'm not falling for that again. Goodnight, my love," I said as I walked to the guest bedroom.
When I woke up the next day, Aerith was already smiling as she ate a bowl of cereal. "I'm excited mom; the party is today,"
"You'll have a great day. When you're dressed, I'll do your hair and make-up," I said.
"Make-up?" Damian said, walking into the kitchen.
Oh great. "Aerith go and take a shower for tonight,"
Aerith nodded, placed her bowl in the sink, and went to her bathroom. "Damian do you really want to start with me?"
"No make-up, Evelyn, she's too young," Damian protested.
"Has it been lonely in bed, my love?" I smiled as I glared at him.
"Not really, I enjoy the extra room," Damian said.
"Fine, I'll stay in the guest room then," I said.
"You do that," Damian folded his arm.
"I will," I huffed and left. I entered Aeirth's bedroom and knocked on her bathroom door. "Aerith, come on, are you ready to get dressed yet?"
"I just finished, mom. I have the clothes for the party here," Aerith said. Aeirth exited the bathroom with her outfit for the party, and she was beautiful. Her green eyes complemented the green colors of her shirt and pants.
"You look amazing, sweetheart. Let's go and do your hair and make-up," I smiled. When I finished, her hair was a single French braid. I put a little eyeliner on her to make her eyes pop out more, and I let her wear my mother's pearl earrings, only on the condition that she would bring them back to me. "Now, let's go see your father,"
Aerith and I went to Damian's office as I had a hunch we would be there working. I knocked on the door, and Aerith entered while I stayed outside. Damian looked up, and his eyes widened. "Wow, princess, you look amazing,"
"It's not too much?" Aerith asked.
"It's perfect, you're perfect. You are the spitting image of your mother," Damian sniffed. "Dammit, give your old man a hug before you head off to the party,"
"I love you, Daddy," Aerith said.
"I love you too, princess," Damian said.
"Aerith, why are you wearing your mother's pearl earrings? You know what, don't tell me, I don't wanna know, now get out of here and have fun," Damian said playfully.
Aerith giggled. "They belonged to Mom's mom, Dad, she said it's a Jones heirloom,"
"I'm surprised your mother allowed you to wear those for a simple birthday party. Now go, enjoy yourself," Damian said.
"Thanks, Dad." Aeirth left the office and closed the door, and then she looked at me. "I'm ready,"
I smiled as we walked to the car and drove her to Hunter's house. "Remember Aerith, do not take drinks from anyone and don't go anywhere alone and don't leave your drink unattended," I said. "If you see anyone with alcohol, you tell Parker,"
"Mom, you're acting worse then dad," Aerith said.
"When you are a mother yourself, you'll understand. Look, your father is just adjusting to you growing up, I'll pick you up at 11," I said.
"Thanks, Mom." Aerith kissed my cheek and left the car, and I drove off after I saw her enter the house. I returned home to see Damian; he was doing something I had never seen. "Honey, can I ask you something?"
Damian stopped and turned to face me. "Yeah, what is it?" Damian drank his glass of wine.
"Do you want another baby?" I asked.
Damian choked on his drink. "The fuck?!" Damian coughed.
"Relax, I'm not pregnant," I said.
"I would still be happy if you were pregnant, Evelyn, but are you trying to give me a damn heart attack?" Damian said, trying to get his breathing under control.
"You seem upset about Aerith getting older, and maybe a new around the place is exactly what we need," I smiled.
"Evelyn have you lost your damn mind? I love Ezra and Aerith, and I thought two kids would be enough for us. But the thought of having another kid has crossed my mind. But I could be convinced," Damian gave a slight smirk.
"Just because you don't want another baby doesn't mean we can't practice," I whispered in his ear.
"I could be up for that and we have the house to ourselves. Can you do that thing that I like?" Damian said.
"Anything you want?" I kissed him.
Damian
Evelyn went to pick up Aerith after we had sex while I went to the warehouse to speak with Pheonix. "Pheonix, I have two shipments docking tonight, they are going to Russia. So I went ahead and checked and rechecked,"
"Sounds good, I'll make sure everything goes smoothy. How did Aerith get on at the party?"
"I'm sure she had a good time, Evelyn just sent me a text that she picked her up from the house. Would you believe Evelyn asked me if I wanted another baby?" I said.
"About as much as a hole in the head," Pheonix laughed.
"Exactly. I swear I don't know what goes that womens head half the time," I threw my hands in the air.
"Dad?" Ezra said.
"Ezra, what's up? What are you doing here?" I said.
"Mom sent me. You have to take me to buy an outfit for the prom," Ezra said.
"Me? Your mother wants me to go fucking shopping?" I scoffed.
"I don't want to go anymore then you do," Ezra said.
"Have fun shopping, ladies," Pheonix laughed as he walked.
"Oh no you don't!" I said. "Pheonix you are coming with us,"
"Boss, I have a date with a hot blonde," Pheonix said.
"Yeah, and that hot blonde is me, let's go, honey," I winked.
Pheonix groaned and started walking to the car. Ezra and I joined him, and we drove to the mall. We soon arrived, and I led them to a decent Tux shop. "I know a good place where we can get you a suit Ezra," I said.
"A Tux? Really, dad?" Ezra eyed me.
"What else will you be wearing to the prom? Your birthday suit?" I said sarcastically.
"Hell no! We'll see what they have," Ezra scoffed. He looked disgusted when he saw the store's sign. This store looks like Victoria's Secret. Are you kidding me?"
"Well it's not, so get a move on. Pick a suit and try it on," I ordered. "I don't have all day,"
Ugh, whatever," Ezra picked a random suit from the rack, took a quick look, and went to the changing rooms; he returned to us with the black tux on. "I like it,"
"Damn, Ezra, you could be the next James Bond or Jack Reacher," Pheonix smiled. "That suit will definitely get you laid,"
"I don't know about you, Pheonix, but I don't need a tux to get laid," Ezra said.
Ezra and I laughed while Pheonix stood deadpanned. "Smartass, you sound like your father everyday," Pheonix said.
Ezra returned to the changing rooms and came out with a brown suit. I wanted to throw up. "If I could burn that suit, I would," I said.
"Ezra, you're going to prom, not a job interview," Pheonix said.
Ezra rolled his eyes, randomly picked another suit, and returned to the changing rooms. It was another black suit this time, but he wore a blue tie. "Not bad, but I prefer the red tie,"
"I "g"ee," Pheonix nodded.
"I'll wear a black suit and a red tie. Black and blue don't look right to me.
That'That'soy. "Good choice, son,"
"No," "et changed. There's a bottle of bourbon with my name on it waiting for me," Phoenix said.
I rolled my eyes and went to the clerk to pay for the suit.
