Chapter 31
Momo
Another name being added to the exceedingly long list of our dead, Tre Williams.
He didn't deserve to die like that, he was at a breaking point. Janunu shouldn't have pulled the trigger even if she thought it was the right thing to do.
Tre is our brother, she could have at least showed mercy on him and shot his arm. Her being able to kill a family member without a second thought scares me.
What if it were Travis or Jaja? We have to get her help whether she likes it or not.
"Good Morning everyone." The priest said as he stood in front of the podium. Many returned the greeting while the others continued crying.
Today is a sad sad day, today is the day we rightfully say goodbye to our dead.
Many of our dead don't have a body since it was burned up from the bomb. While some do, which were the ones that didn't make it out the hospital.
Though two were murdered in a completely different way, and one died peacefully.
17 caskets were aligned in front of the church. 4 large stones with names running down them sat on both ends of the casket line.
274 people lives were taken from the Royals, that's more than half of our people. There now remains 132 people.
Outsiders stood outside the church giving us their support.
Throughout the whole service i was still and silent. The words of the priest came in one ear and out the other.
Everyone was dismissed from the church and were now heading to our privately owned field. As we walked out the News reporters of various channels bombarded us with questions about Janunu.
They have the nerve to come on a day of sadness and talk about irrelevant things. The disrespect.
One of the reporters got in my face, "Excuse me, but how are you going to get Janunu to talk about her heroic decision in taking the Alphas down?"
I slapped the microphone out of her hand, anger was boiling in my blood. "Get off of our territory or you die...All of you!!!" I yelled.
They scampered away, getting in their vans and drove away.
"Calm down, Mo. Don't let your emotions dictate your actions. Your better than this." Jhak said sounding like dad.
I took a deep breathe and exhaled slowly, nodding my head I thanked him for the advice and headed to my car.
I followed the other cars to the graveyard in peace. As we got to the graveyard the ushers put the caskets on their sites.
Then everyone surrounded the many caskets. The dead without bodies each had their own tombstones so they weren't left out.
The burial began and the cries of my people grew louder.
We'll get our revenge on that mob boss, we know nothing about his damn wife so he obviously had us mistaken for someone else.
I saw Davie move to the front, in front of everyone. He was about to speak when Janunu came out of no where and stood in front of him, getting everyone's attention.
She was fidgeting with her fingers as her mouth laid slightly open. She look down at the ground, contemplating on what to say.
"Dad...King Williams was one of those people that'll..put everything before his needs. He wanted peace, not just in our family but..with the Alphas too. He didn't get to see that dream."
She took in a deep breathe as she removed her shades. Her eyes were blood shot red, i know Nunu doesn't smoke or drink. So that means...she's been crying.
"I regret killing off the Alphas, I regret not coming home sooner, and I regret...not working with my dad to bring peace."
She's being vulnerable for the first time since she left to Germany. I can't believe this, dad's death was what brought her to finally open up.
This is good, that means she'll cooperate at the appointment i set up tomorrow for her.
"That's why, I made peace with the Alphas."
Lots of gasps then murmurs were being heard, what does she mean she made peace? She better not have done what I think she done.
Oh no she-
"We are no longer Royals, but instead we are the Rolphas. A community of two broken gangs turned into one family."
What?!
She did 10 times worst than the thing i was thinking. Is she crazy?! Rolphas? That sound dumb.
Then a large group of people came in the entrance of the graveyard. Oh heck nah!
My people started to get rowdy and some even pulled out their guns. The Alphas did nothing but stood a few feet away from us.
They looked depressed, sad about their dead. Most of their people were in rags meaning they've been on the streets for a while.
I remained still and stared at my sister, this is by far her most craziest idea. But honestly it's a damn good one.
"Put your guns down" i yelled sternly, still keeping my eye on Nunu.
"W-what? They're-"
I quickly turned my head to Leroy, "I said put it down" i gritted.
He along with others resistantly put their weapons down as they glared at the Alphas.
I moved through the crowd and stood next to Nunu, i smiled at her even though she didn't return it.
Then I looked at my people, "It's been a long few months, we've both lost people we love. So why can't this bring us together?"
People murmured amongst themselves, "How are we supposed to live together, when they've taken everything from us?" Penny asked from the crowd.
Nunu and I looked at each other, "By looking at the first example, Mo is in love with an Alpha." Janunu proclaimed.
I thought she wasn't listening to me when I told her that. She was too busy moping about dad dying.
Then their murmurs turned into gasps, "This is true, I've learned to look past the things the Alphas done even though Nunu doing this now is a big surprise for me." I said.
Their whispers of doubt cooled down, "If we do become one, what will happen?" Someone asked.
Now this I do not know about, so I'll leave it up to Nunu to speak.
"First, we won't be a gang, we'll be a community. Second, we'll work together to restore our broken hearts. And lastly, we'll thrive in whatever we do." She answered
I saw a few nods coming from my people and even the Alphas. They're agreeing so that's a good start, I took a breathe, "So now why don't we start off with officially bringing everyone together."
They were confused as I just smiled, then I motioned my arms at both people to come together.
They hesitated at first but eventually took small steps to come together. Soon enough they were one big group of people. My smile grew bigger, dad's image of peace is finally here.
"So like are we going to party or what?!" Jaja yelled happily from the crowd. Laughter from people erupted and cheers a-sounded.

After the burial we all went to the homeless shelter, gratefully there was plenty of extra space for the addition of people.
We had mingled, danced, ate, goofed, and laughed together. It was fun and it's just the beginning.
It's now 11:47 P.M. and everyone are beginning to fall asleep. All except Nunu who throughout the whole party was sitting alone. She did nothing but stare off at nothing.
I went to her and sat down next to her, "What's wrong?" I asked.
She shrugged, still staring out into the night through her window. "Nothing" she said sounding like her usual self, never wanting to tell anyone about her troubles.
I gave her my full attention, "No tell me what's wrong?" I asked concerned.
She looked at me, her eyes were still red but not ask red as they were before. Her lips trembled as her eyebrows frowned, "I lost my best friend." She cried softly.
I cooed as I brought her into a hug and we held each other in silence. All i could hear were her soft whimpers and sniffles.
Dad's death hit her bad, I don't even know what to do. I've learned to mourn for a short while and move on, but Nunu is different. A different that needs my help.
She pulled away and wiped her tears away, "I'm sorry for burdening you with my pain." She said.
Her apologizing is a great thing, she never apologized in her life. She'll go months suffering from mom's wrath for not apologizing for something she did wrong, and she'd still won't apologize.
Though her apologizing for being a burden is not what I want her to start with.
"You expressing your feelings is not something to be apologizing about. It makes me happy that your even giving me your time to express them."
She looked away from me, "Why are you happy about that?"
A smile grew on my face, "You never want to open up, i thought you just saw me as a nuisance."
She frowned, "I never saw you as a nuisance, you're more like a loud clock. You talk a lot and clock ticks a lot. Besides that your a good hang." She spoke honestly.
I talk alot? Since when?
I put on a quick smile, "Thanks for sharing that with me, I'll mentally note not to talk too much around you."
She smirked a little and shrugged her shoulders, "Thanks for having my back at the graveyard."
"Your welcome, um i had set up a therapeutic appointment for you tomorrow."
Her face dropped, "What?"
I shrugged my shoulders, "You know a therapy session where you talk to someone about your problems."
She just stared at me for a full 5 minutes, I was getting nervous. She could throw a tantrum and never come back, or she could kill the therapist, or just say no.
"Ok, I'll go."
She said what?
