Chapter 27
Janunu
The other Alpha kicked my back, making me fall forward. A grunt left my mouth as I fell hard and fast on the ground.
He aimed his gun at me and just as he pulled the trigger, I rolled away. Shock was all I can feel, he was actually going to shoot me!
I stood on my feet and leaned my weight on my left foot. I lift my right leg and swung it around, making a semi-circle movement. It landed on the jacka**es face.
Earning a loud grunt from him as he fell, I knew my work wasn't done. I picked up the gun that he dropped and aimed it at his head.
"Next time you point a gun at me...make sure to finish the job."
Bang
"Put the gun down, Key." Someone said from behind, I rolled my eyes knowing that my mouse wants to be a lion.
Turning around, I saw him pointing his gun at me. Hopefully he can do the thing his dead friend couldn't.
A long sigh left my lips, idiots. Then without hesitation I pulled the trigger at his head. Too slow.
Now I'm not in the mood to have fun anymore, they ruined it. So I left the room and headed to the other rooms, with each room there stood a big surprise.
A bunch of scared soldiers ready to set off their guns. Having emotion control your mind while on a mission is a bad idea. You turn into a ticking time bomb, and no one likes bombs...well except me.
Finally I reached the staircase, my blueprint of this place tells me that upstairs has two rooms. One ginormous room and the other room is just a bathroom.
I know the bathroom obviously isn't where Hajee is. So my only option is the elephant sized room.
My foot stopped just in front of the door, this better be quick. I turned the door knob and pushed the door open.
First thing I see is dead bodies, they all had on these ridiculous bulletproof vests. Who wears bulletproof vests? Ugh, it makes people look weird and it slows them down.
Then i saw a beat up Brunet, ha that's what he get for tryna be in charge. Next I saw Hajee sitting on a throne like chair, holding a gun. He extra for no reason, he's gonna die.
I stepped in the room, taking in more of it as I got further in. Hmm, it's empty, I don't like it.
"Janunu Williams, the key and the killer. You killed all 25 of my men. But don't worry there's more coming." Hajee smirked.
I remained silent, not wanting to waste my time speaking to him. From his constant finger twitching and the sweat on his forehead, i know he's scared. He should be, he murdered me...the real me.
If it weren't for him Uncle Craig and my cousins will still be alive. If it weren't for him Monique wouldn't have been raped. If It weren't for him my family would have been normal. If it weren't for him I wouldn't have fell down this path.
This all started with him, so I raised my gun at him and pulled the trigger. The bullet flew right past his head since he was quick to get out of the way.
He grabbed Brunet and held him as he pointed his gun at his hostage's head.
"If you shoot, I shoot." Hajee seethed through his teeth. I smirked and moved closer. "Stay back!" Hajee yelled.
Ignoring him, i got closer and stopped just a few feet away. "You've got the wrong hostage." I said.
Bang
Bang
I watched Hajee's body fall to ground, as did Brunet. A door burst open, "Oh my gosh! Janunu!" I heard Monique yell.
I rolled my eyes, "He's fine, get up Brunet." I said kicking his foot. He groaned, "Why did you shoot me?!" He yelled in pain as he held onto his other shoulder wound.
Monique rushed to Brunet's aid, she looked back at me. "He's a cop, he can help us." She reasoned.
Why is she telling me this? I could care less of his government status. "I-I need to call this in." Brunet said.
Momo looked around then hurriedly grabbed a walkie from one of the dead policemen bodies. She gave it the Brunet, then we all watched him talk to some operator person.
Eventually sirens were heard from afar, "Ok, the feds are on their way. Now let's go." I said to Monique and Momo.
They looked at me, both had frowns on their faces. "No we can't." Momo said. I gave her a stank face, why would she want to stay? The feds will bombard me with their annoying questions.
"Why?" I said.
"I can get your name cleared." Brunet said. He was still on the ground.
"Does it look like I care about getting my name cleared?" I asked.
Momo spoke up, "Janunu, you will stay here until the police gets here. Do you understand?" She said sternly.
Groaning, I knew i had to listen to her. She's amongst the people that I respect.
~
The door opened and two detectives came in. They sat in from of me in this small interrogation room. This is what I get for listening to Momo.
The detective on my right was a black old male, he was married, and from the little paint on his shirt he has grandchildren.
The detective on my left was a white female, she was single, a clubber, and her exotically dyed hair tells me she's a rebel.
"Good Morning, Ms. Williams, from our records we see that you have been off the grid for quite a while." The male detective said.
If this is going to be how the convo is going to go, imma just leave.
When he didn't see a reaction coming from me, or a word, he continued. He looked down at the folder filled with documents, most likely a whole essay about me.
"How about you tell us what happened after the crash?" He asked.
Did he not get the story from Brunet? Why is he being so dumb?
"Ok then how about you tell us how you are doing?" The girl jumped in.
I can't with these people, they annoy me. It's like being stabbed in the head with each question they ask, it's so disturbing.
Obviously the reason I'm not talking is because I don't want to answer any of their questions. They need to stay out of my business, you don't see me going into their businesses.
The man sighed and gave his partner a look, "Please, if you don't cooperate-"
"You'll what?." I interrupted, causing them both to shake. I guess they weren't expecting me to speak throughout this whole interview for their opening cell.
The girl cleared her throat, "We won't be able to determine if you should walk free or not."
I raised my elbows on the table and sat my chin on my hand. A smile grew on my face, "You feds are not God, your terrible judges, and you all talk to much. My life is not in your hands, so don't try to use it against me."
"Ms.Williams, your cooperation is the key in helping you-"
I stood up abruptly, "To be honest, I don't know why I entertained you all for this long but I gotta go."
Then I left, walking past more feds i got even bothered as they stared at me. I hate them staring but keep it together Nunu your almost to the door.
"Janunu!" Brunet's ratcheted voice yelled.
Looking outside the glass doors, I seen a crowd of reporters. Knowing ion wanna deal with them, I had to turn to Brunet.
A defeated sigh left my mouth as I turned around. Brunet had on two arm slings and a big smile.
He approached me, "I've been meaning to see you, but couldn't since I've been held up with my director." He said.
I kept quiet since there was nothing for me to say to that. He continued, "Um, I've cleared your name."
Tilting my head to the side a little, unimpressed by this. "And? Get to the important part, I don't have all day." I sassed.
He was taken aback and frowned, "T-that was the big news, is there something you want to here?"
I took a step closer, letting his height not disconcert me. "If it weren't for you, I would still be dead. You were selfish and wanted to be the hero that you didn't even think about how it would affect me." I said with a hatred filled tone.
Brunet scoffed, "Me? Your the one who gave me no choice. You were going to kill everyone and anyone that was at the club. It's like you have a personal vendetta on humans."
He is so self centered that he's blaming MY plan's failure on me! "From the jump you were a nuisance, the fact that I let you stay alive makes me feel so stupid. You don't listen, your terrible at taking out orders, you hesitate, and worst of all your a burden!" I yelled in anger.
He was silent as his jaws clenched, "At least I didn't become like Hajee."
Did he just compare me to Hajee? We're nothing alike, why would he say that?!
So I punched his jaw, he yelp as he leaned down, away from me. Then I kicked his groin, making him fall to the ground. I sent one last punch to his face and one last big kick to his groin.
All he did was yell, bringing everyone's attention to us. I spat on him, "From this day on, we are strangers. If you come as close as 50 feet of me, your a dead man." I gritted in anger before walking out.
The reporters rushed to me with questions and cameras pointed at me, "Janunu Williams! How does it feel to be a hero?!"
"How did you fake your death?"
"Are you going to be working with the FBI from now on?!"
I rolled my eyes and pulled out my gun. They instantly shut up, then I shot it in the air twice. Which made them run away like scared roaches. I hate nosy people.
