Chapter 2 - Oh how I "love" Vampires...

Great. Just perfect. This whole situation couldn't get any more awkward.

Both Yui and I were sitting on this blue, silk couch. In the meantime, Ayato was throwing knives at my head with his bitter glare. Things are going according to plan (not like there was a plan, to begin with).

"Now," started the smart-clothed male, "for the sake of formality, lets begin. Why don't you two tell us about yourselves and how you came to enter this house."

This guy wasn't asking as to whether we wanted to tell him about ourselves or not. He was demanding, but in a more straight forward, not-as-rude-as-it-can-go way. I personally didn't want to talk first so I glanced at Yui if she can lend a helping hand. In which she did.

"Ah, right," Yui hesitated, "Well I-I –"

The blonde was cut off by a laugh of, what seemed to be, another male.

"Well, what do we have here?" Another ginger male had appeared on top of a balcony, almost sniggering, yet flirting, while he looked down at us, "Could it be that these cute, little human girls have decided to pay us a visit?"

Both me and Yui couldn't help but let out a confused, "huh?" while staring at the newcomer – who also seemed to wear a hat that looked similar to a fedora.

Before I could react to my surroundings, a wet, slimy sensation prickled at my cheek causing me to Immediately, move away. I let out a long, low groan of disgust while wiping at my cheek rather violently with the sleeve of my shirt. I moved my glance towards the person who had the nerve to lick me, and to my surprise, it was fedora guy from the balcony. How the hell did he move down here so damn fast soundlessly!?

"Oh my," the unnamed ginger purred, "You smell so sweet and your skin tastes delicious."

Before I could recover and ask that weirdo what his problem is, a new, sweeter voice rang in my ears, "Please, let me have a lick too."

Then, not a second later, another wet, slimy tongue slid at my other cheek. I groaned even louder in disgust as my harsh rubbing caused my cheeks to turn a bright red. I was just about ready to slap whoever licked me – not forgetting about fedora dude.

"You're right," the sweeter voice hummed, "she does taste sweet."

"Stop that you two." Demanded the guy with the glasses, "it's highly inappropriate to behave so impolitely towards a young woman you've only just met."

"But why? It's only natural to want to taste something that looks and smells so yummy." answered the ginger who wore the fedora, "Kanato agrees with me."

"Yes," The boy with lavender hair nodded, agreeing with the ginger, "I do."

I glared at both males, quite ready to slap the smug bitch out of them, but when I glanced at Yui's anxious expression and I realized that it was for the best if I didn't act out... yet.

"Hey, knock it off you guys." Answered Ayato, "have you forgotten that yours truly is the one who saw her first? Consequently, yours truly is going to be her first everything."

"And who decided that?" I muttered as I gave him a questioning look.

"Lame," groaned a new unknown voice causing Ayato to stand up with death in his green orbs, "I'm so sick of hearing you call yourself 'yours truly'."

"What the hell?" Ayato yelled out at said unknown voice, "damn it Subaru, I know that's you! Come out and show yourself!"

"I'm right here." deadpanned Subaru, "I thought I detected the smell of human in here. Guess I was right."

Subaru seemed to growl the last part out as he glared at both Yui and I. What is his problem? Did mama beat him when he was a child?

"Who are these mortals who dare to awaken me from my precious sleep?" Subaru asked – obviously demanding an answer.

"H-how'd you enter this room so quietly?" Yui asked. It's like she knew what I wanted to ask.

"You will answer my question first!" The albino, Subaru, roared as he smashed the wall into pieces next to him with his fist.

At this point, I was shitting bricks and I could see that the sweet (yet quite stupid) Yui was not any different. I'm pretty sure that I speak for the both of us when I mentally say, "how in the sweet baby Jesus did he not hurt himself when he did that!?"

I quickly glanced at the guy, that seemed to be the only sane one out of all of the males in the room and saw him fixing his glasses before glancing at everyone.

"Do any of you know what's going on here?" The male with glasses asked calmly even when he wore a stern expression, "I must find out why these young women have come here to live with us."

As soon as he finished, Ayato sat back in his comfy seat and all the boys went silent.

"Well, isn't that great?" I muttered under my breath mostly to myself, "no one knows why the hell we're here... well, besides Yui and myself, no one has a clue. Maybe we somehow got the wrong house?"

"Well I... I think that this is just some sort of misunderstanding." Yui stood up before bowing down at the male, planning to take her leave, "So I'll be on my way now."

"Wait just a minute," the male stopped her before she could completely go past him, "I am attempting to get to the bottom of this situation here. Don't you think it would be rather discourteous to leave right now?"

"But – but I..."

"I wonder if she's the young woman that he mentioned the other day." Muttered a voice lazily. It seemed to come from behind me, so I turned around, only to see a blonde laying on a couch at the back of the room.

"Shu," asked Ayato, "do you know anything about these girls and the reason they're here?"

"Maybe." the blonde answered simply.

"Don't give us this 'maybe' crap." Ayato imitated the lazy blonde, showing that he was getting impatient, "I think we'll all appreciate an explanation."

After a moment of silence, Shu started to speak again, "It was that guy. He contacted me a couple days ago. He... told me that we have a guest arriving from the church and that we should treat her with respect."

"Then, what about the other one?" asked Kanato, obviously about me.

"The other one..." Shu trailed off, seemingly thinking back, trying to remember. Then, he let out a sigh, "I remember a letter being sent to us. It did talk about this girl and how we need to... monitor her."

"What?" Ayato asked both shocked and irritated, "are you telling me that pancake and hard-cover are the prospective brides?"

Yui let out a loud "huh?" while Ayato spoke over her anyway.

"No," Ayato almost sounded as he objectified, "is that all this is?"

"Ugh, lets be honest," fedora boy groaned, "they're more like sacrifices than brides really."

"Oh yeah," the blonde seemed to have remembered something, "he, and the letter, explicitly said that we're not supposed to kill them."

"Oh really?" fedora boy chuckled, "if that's the case then we're gonna have a very long relationship with these women."

I could hear Yui breath hitch out of fear as she eyed me like a cry for help, but I was just as helpless as she was.

I also was uneasy, after all, I was still sitting next to fedora boy and lavender guy, who's apparently named Kanato, who was right behind me. I feel like I just stepped in some deep shit that I won't be able to get out of later.

"It appears that there's no misunderstanding after all." The male with the glasses glanced at Yui, "So allow us to introduce ourselves."

"That is the eldest son, Shu." The male with glasses said as he glanced at the blonde before suddenly looking at me, "My name is Reiji and I'm the second son."

"Next to the triplets: Ayato-"

"I won't let you get away from me next time." grinned the ginger.

"-Kanato,"

"I hope to taste you again very soon." smiled lavender boy in a creepy manner as he held his bear tight.

"- and Laito."

"It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, little bitch." the male that wore the fedora winked at Yui before glancing at me with a smirk.

"The last son is Subaru."

"Tsk, what a waste of time." The albino growled as he turned his head, annoyed that we even breathe the same air as him.

"I still think... this has to be some sort of mistake. Nobody said anything about me being somebody's bride." Yui explained hesitantly, "And besides, the six of you... you're all kind of weird."

This was the point that I struggled to keep my straight face. The rooms seemed to have suddenly turned unbearably bitter. This was bad. At this rate, Yui is gonna get us killed and I'd like to live a little longer thank you very much.

I was going to stand up and tell Yui to shut up or she'll make things worse, but this bitter dread paralyzed me. My body felt so tense, so on edge. This whole situation was giving me anxiety, causing my feelings to clash together. This situation wasn't sweet, or bittersweet, it was just bitter. This was a situation that made my body want to spasm, get out of there as soon as possible and never look back. Although, I couldn't do that. Instead, I felt cold sweat run down my forehead, a shiver of dread rushed up and down my spine. This was the only thing my body could do at the moment. It's like it knew that something horrible is going to happen.

"I think... that I need to contact my father." Yui said, and as soon as she finished her sentence, Ayato pulled out her phone, "That's my cellphone! You give that back to me now!"

"Do you really think that I should?" Ayato smirked.

Suddenly, Yui ran up to Ayato, trying to grab her pink cellphone out of his hands but failed as he immediately moved his arm out of her reach.

"Give it back!" Yui pleaded, "Come on, please!"

Before Ayato realized anything, Subaru grabbed the pink cellphone out of the ginger's hand. Both Yui and Ayato looked at the albino shocked that he interfered.

"What are you doing?" Yui asked.

"This is what I'm doing." Subaru answered as he crushed the phone in his hand. The pink object dropped on the ground, ruined by the youngest brother.

"How could you?" Yui asked betrayed.

"Get lost." Subaru groaned as he walked off.

"Aw, there-there, little bitch." Laito put his hand on Yui's shoulder, "it'll be ok. You're about to become very good friends with us so you'll have no need for that silly cellphone, right?"

"To tell you the truth, I'm feeling a little bit peckish at the moment." Kanato suddenly was next to me on the couch.

"Don't I know it," Laito leaned in into Yui's ear, "you smell so delicious it's intoxicating, little bitch."

When Laito leaned in to do something to Yui's ear, she suddenly screamed as she moved away from Laito and ran towards the door but failed miserably as she tripped on air and fell over.

"Yui-chan." I gasped as I run up to her, seeing if she's alright, but saw that she scratched her knee pretty badly. When I looked at her face to examine her further, I saw her face scrunched up in the most terrified look I've ever seen in my entire life. When I looked behind me, I saw all the brother's eyes glow.

"They're all... vampires." Yui's voice shook with pure fear.

"Dear God." I swallowed hard as I observed the men closely, "I didn't sign up for this shit."
