Part 7
Jack woke up to the sound of his phone ringing. Lazily, Jack patted his hand around the bedside table until he found it. Dragging it off, he didn't check the caller ID. He just pressed the answer button. The voice on the other end began to talk and Jack jerked upright. The movers! Jack quickly told them that he'd be there soon and leapt out of bed. They'd be at his new house in an hour. He had to get going. Glancing around the room, Jack rolled his eyes. What was he going to wear? All he had was what Felix gave him. Slipping from the room, Jack headed for the front door. He wasn't going to wake up Felix. Felix had already done enough for him. If he ran, he could make it. He'd just call Felix later. Jack reached the door and tried to slip on his shoes, when a voice made him jump in surprise as it asked. "Leaving so soon"? Jack straightened up and spotted Felix in the kitchen. He was sitting on the kitchen counter, holding a fresh cup of coffee.
Jack sighed lightly, asking him tenderly. "How long have you been up"? Felix smirked back, turning his gaze down into his cup, when he answered. "Not long. Want some coffee, before you sneak out"? Jack crossed his arms, mumbling out. "I wasn't sneaking out". Felix shot him devilish eyes as he stated playfully. "Were you not just trying to leave without saying goodbye"? Jack lowered his arms, walking into the kitchen, saying a little embarrassed. "Well, ya... but-". Felix cut him off by sliding off the counter as he chimed out happily. "Then you were sneaking out". Jack rolled his eyes with a small smirk. Felix pulled a mug from a cabinet and set it on the counter for him to take. Jack licked his dry lips nervously, telling him with a blush. "The movers are arriving. I didn't want to wake you". Felix took a sip of his coffee, before chuckling out. "So, your plan was to go running across Brighton in the rain"? Jack turned to look out the large glass windows and blushed a brighter red. Shrugging, Jack poured himself coffee as he told Felix confidently. "It's just rain. I walked in the rain all the time in Ireland".
Felix touched his shoulder with the back of his hand, telling him in a soft voice. "Jack... This isn't the country. You go running out there looking like that... You'll never make it". Jack raised an eyebrow, curiously asking. "What's wrong with the way I look? People run in the rain all the time". Jack's cheeks burned as Felix moved in closer to his side. Why did he have to be so close? It was like his body draped his mind in a haze fog where his senses could only observe Felix. He could feel the warmth rolling off Felix's skin and tempting ever fiber of his body to reach out and touch him. Felix set his cup down next to Jack's, leaning in to whisper a bit huskily. "Nothing is wrong with you. I'll just be amazed if you make it without getting hit on". Jack looked away from Felix trying to hide his blush, when he chuckled out softly. "You had me thinking I was going to get mugged or something". Felix moved in closer, lightly pressing against his back. Jack stopped breathing and closed his eyes. Did Felix know how much power he had over him? Felix whispered close to his ear in a calm but wanting voice. "Jack... I...".
Jack waited patiently, when Felix slowly moved away. Jack opened his eyes a bit disappointed. What had Felix been trying to say? Jack slightly turned to watch Felix back up against the opposite counter. Jack took a deep breath, asking almost breathlessly. "How long do you think you can keep resisting"? Felix chuckled softly behind him, answering in a low husky voice. "It gets harder every time, but I'll manage. Why do ask"? Jack took a sip of his coffee, watching his hand shake as he put it back down on the counter. Carefully turning around, Jack kept his eyes on the floor, answering weakly. "I just want to fall already. I can't make the first move. I don't trust myself. I need your help, Felix. You know how this feels. How did you make the pain stop"? Felix stepped closer and Jack closed his eyes. His walls were breaking. He needed Felix to bring them down. To push the last of the painful past down. He wanted to move on. Felix's warm hand pressed to his cheek and Jack felt a tear fall from his eye. His hand was so warm from holding his coffee cup. It felt relaxing.
Jack turned his head slightly to lean against Felix's hand, feeling Felix lean in so close to barely whisper out. "I found you". Another tear fell down Jack's cheek, before Jack tilted his head up to press his lips to Felix's tenderly. Jack was too afraid to touch Felix, but enjoyed how Felix's hands began to run along his sides. Starting at his cheeks and slowly traveling down his every curve to his waist. Felix's hands slid around his hips to his lower back, pulling him in closer. Jack let himself give in. Running his hands up Felix's warm bare chest to wrap around his neck. Felix's hands suddenly slid down from his lower back to his thighs. Jack broke the kiss to gasp, feeling Felix's fingers curl around his thighs and forcing his legs apart. Jack didn't have to ask, it was clear what Felix was getting ready to do. Tightening his grip around Felix's neck, Felix lifted him off the floor and backed him up toward the counter. Setting him on the counter, Felix moved in to kiss his neck and run his hands along Jack's bare legs.
Jack panted softly, wrapping his legs around Felix and running his fingers through his hair. Felix playfully kissed a trail up his throat to playfully nip his ear, causing Jack to bite his lower lip. Jack felt warm and fuzzy all over. His heart felt protected and safe in Felix's close embrace. Felix's thumb brushed over one of his nipples and Jack dropped his hands back against the counter to brace himself, knocking his coffee mug the floor. The loud smash didn't even make Felix flinch. Felix merely started kissing his collarbone and trying to lift Jack's shirt higher up his chest. Jack forced himself to take a deep breath and cupped Felix's face. Felix's eyes were glazed over in desire as Jack pulled him up into a long kiss. Felix let him control the kiss, but his hands roamed over Jack's chest possessively. Jack loved it. When Felix suddenly stopped. It took a second before Jack heard his phone ringing in his pocket. Reluctantly removing his phone, Jack answered it. The movers were checking in. They'd be at the house soon.
Lowering the phone, Jack tried to get his breathing back under control as he panted out. "The movers are almost at the house. I should go". Felix lowered his head in defeat, but happily answered. "Alright. I'll get dressed and we'll head over". Jack pocketed his phone, telling Felix honestly. "No, Felix. You don't have to go". Felix snatched up Edgar as he waddled out into the kitchen from the hallway, telling Jack happily. "It's fine, Jack. I can help you unpack and you can help me record a video. Sound fair"? Jack nodded as Felix walked back to give him a brief kiss. When Felix pulled away, he set Edger in Jack's arms as he told him seriously. "Careful. There is glass all over the floor. Don't let Edgar touch it. I'll going to get dressed real quick". Without another word, Felix dashed down the hall. Jack hugged Edgar close and carefully slipped off the counter. He felt better. More whole. Maybe he truly was ready to move on. To Be Continued...
