Lunary was an orphan at the age of 13 both of her parents were killed because of who they were. Her parents were both females who got pregnant with a surrogate male known as the giver. Their pack did not accept their relationship so when they found out about their mating they were killed. Although before that they had kept their daughter secret. Also it was not only that they were together but that they were two different species one a werewolf and the other a vampire which was forbidden. Once found out they sent Lunary away for her safety and she was exiled from the pack when found out. She was born a Hybrid.

Ok so the thing with birth givers and givers is that they give children to LGBT couples that are unable to have  them. For Givers they say a spell and grant them sperm. The sperm is spelled to have both DNA of the couple and does not have any other DNA. As for a Birth giver they take both sets of sperm from the couple and mix it then inject themselves with it. It only takes 2 months for the fetus to be born and the same with the Givers the baby does not have the Birth givers DNA.

Also when The Birth givers are almost done with the cycle of birth giving which is about 12 years they are gifted with a male Giver as a mate. Therefore giving them their second chance. Lastly a Birth giver cannot have a relationship with the baby once out of the womb making sure that they don't try to take the child. The Birth Giver's supernatural side won't allow them to form a bond with the child. That is the price of becoming a Birth giver and is warned to each one. Same goes with the Givers only they never have a connection at all with the fetus.
