🌹Cassandra's POV🌹

The whole week I never saw Xavier except for occasionally hearing his voice in the corodoor.

The distance between us kept filling up, some times I didn't hear him until late.

I'm just really glad that I don't have to face him.

Today was my first antenatal class. Xavier thought it would be best if I took the classes with other women instead of private lessons. I was thrilled with the idea because it meant I could get some fresh air out of this house.

My bag was already packed for the class.

On my way to the car, I was nearly blinded by the view of Xavier and Layla making out.

I've never seen anything more disgusting. It was like watching two people without teeth making out. I could have watched my dead grandmother make out with someone half my age and it would have been more adorable.

The worst part was when she saw me, I immediately looked away but that didn't stop her from making a scene.

"What are you looking at bitch?" She yelled.

'Take a deep breath,' I told myself.

It was early morning and I wasn't about to let her get to me.

"You'll get bored soon!" I yelled. "You'd wish you slept with his best friend instead." I said before proceeding to the car.

That must have done it because Xavier stormed into the house slamming the door.
He was really angry although I couldn't help but place a smile on my face.

As I got to the car, there was a guy opening the car door for me.

"Where is my driver?" I asked.

"The other guy had a heart attack, I'm his new replacement." He answered.

He looked around my age unlike the other guy who looked like he would fall asleep every five minutes.

He gestured for me to get in.

"I want to be in front," I said.

I walked to the other side of the car then entered the passengers seat in front.

I could tell he was nervous by the way his hands shook as he place them on the steering wheel. It took awhile before he finally started the car.

"That was nice," he said. "I saw what you did back there, someone had to put them in their place." he said.

I gave him a small smile.

The drive to the place was pretty long. Xavier made sure to choose the best place which meant it was out of town. By the time we finally arrived I had fallen asleep.

I felt someone poking me on the shoulder.

"We here ma'am," he said.

I adjusted my eyes to my surrounding, the looked more like a mall.

"My name is Benjamin by the way," He said as I slammed the car door.

The class had already started, thirty minutes ago apparently.

Everyone turned their attention towards me as I walked in. Everyone was seated around in a circle on yoga mats, probably a group discussion.

"Where is your partner?" The one girl siting across me asked.

That's when it hits me, everyone else was sitting with their partner.

"Oh," I said. "I had no idea you had to be your partner, this is my first class here," I said.

She chuckled then muttered something to the guy sitting next to her at which he laughed at.

Through out the class she kept sending me glares and nasty looks. I didn't even do anything to her.

The rest of the class felt pretty much like misery, all the exercises we did required a partners. I felt like an outcast.

My day continued to worsen having to wait for Benjamin after the class for more than thirty minutes. He must have had the time wrong, again.

I didn't have my phone on me. The place was isolated which meant that there probably haven't any cabs around here, not that I had any money to pay for it, I left my purse in the car.

"Do you need a ride home?" I heard a voice from behind me.

I turned around to see who it was, it was one of the women from my class.

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth." She said. "You look like you were looking for someone." She finished.

"No thank you," I said. "My driver should be there any moment from now. He must have had the time wrong."

"Okay," she said. "My husband should be here any moment, he's probably on a phone call." She said.

We both stood quiet for awhile as I frantically waited for Benjamin.

"First pregnancies can be challenging," I said disturbing the silence.

"Oh no, this is actually our second child. My husband wasn't really there for the first one so he had made it his mission to accompany me everywhere. It's a long story actually." She said letting out a laugh.

"Here comes Roxanne," she said.

It was the woman that had been sending me glares thoughout of class.

"You still here,'' she said rolling her eyes at me.

She then diverted her attention to Elizabeth.

"I'm having my baby shower next week, you should totally come." She said to her.

I felt like I was in one of those mean girls movies.

She didn't even wait for Elizabeth to answer before waltzing off.

"Let's go Walt," Roxanne said to the guy behind her. She spoke to him as if he was her minion. The poor guy carried so many bags on him he looked like he would collapse any moment.

"I feel sorry for the guy who works for her," I said.

"That's actually get husband," Elizabeth answered. "The only reason he's with her is because of the baby. Poor guy." She said.

I shook my head in pitty as they drove away.

"There he is," Elizabeth said.

I turned around to see whom she was referring to.

"Sorry I took so long, I had a business call." He said.

"Charles, this is my friend..." She paused waiting for me to finish the sentence.

"Cassie," I said.

"Cassie this I my husband Charles." She said.

"Nice to meet you," I said holding out my hand.

"Nice to meet you too," he replied.

We shook hands.

"Babe are you ready to go," he said facing Elizabeth.

"Yes," she replied.

She turned to face me. "Are you sure you'll be alright. We could drop you home on our way." She offered.

"No thank you, I'll be fine." I answered giving her a small smile.

"Okay," she said before waving me good bye. She walked for a bit then stopped in her tracks turning to me. "You should bring a partner for tommorow. You'll need one for the rest of the week!" She yelled.

"Thanks!" I yelled back.

We had our final goodbyes before they finally drove off.

I was back to my dad reality after that. The parking lot was empty and thirty minutes had already gone by. I was starting to lose hope when he finally came.

"I'm sorry Mrs, I got the time wrong and traffic was hectic." He said. He looked frantic, I was planning on giving him a long speech but the poor guy already looked fritened.

He picked up my bag then placed it in the boot.

I walked to the front seat before he finally drove.

I was amazed by the view of the ocean. It brought so many good memories. It was quite begulling.

"Stop the car," I said.

"What?" He asked.

"I said stop the car." I repeated.

He did as I asked. He parked the car in the visitors parking area.

"Okay?" He said.

As I was about to to reach for the door he stopped me.

"You can't Mrs., Sir made it clear that you shouldn't go anywhere on your own.

"Then come with me." I said.

He gave me a small smile full of anticipation as I walked out of the car.
I took my purse with me on my way out.

He remained seated for awhile before he followed after me.

"We can only be here for a bit." He said breathlessly.

"I'm hungry," I said walking. There were a lot of shops and restaurants around here.

"Look, there is a hotdog stand." I yelled, a smile forming on my face.

"I don't think you supposed to eat that, there is a nice healthy restaurant across the road." He said.

I ignored his suggestion.

I ordered two hotdogs. "Do you want one?" I asked. "I'm paying."

"Yes please." He answered, knowing he wasn't going to convince me otherwise.

"Make it three," I said to the chef.

It wasn't long untill we got our hotdogs.

We walked along the coast as we ate our hotdogs. I felt relaxed, better than I've felt in the past few weeks.

I turned to look at Benjamin who was staring at me.

"What?" I asked with a mouth full of my hotdog.

"You have sauce on your mouth." He said.

I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand.

"Not there," he said. "I'll get it."

He wiped the corner of my mouth nearly reaching my lips. I could feel his gaze on me.

"Thank you," I said.

We continued walking.

"What is it that you do?" I asked.

"Well, I've been working here for a week. I drove Layla around for awhile." He answered.

"No," I said. "What is this your life like besides this job. Do you have any hobbies? And why are you working as a driver, you still young you can do something with your life." I asked.

"I'm twenty-seven," he answered.

"So you a year older than me." I said.

"My family and I owned a restaurant. We lost everything when the place burnt down. We never recovered from that. I'm an only child now, my brother and his wife passed away so we have to look after his daughter Sofia as well. I'm in this job because it pays well. I can save up money to reopen the restaurant." He said.

"I'm sorry, I had no idea." I said.

He didn't speak after that. Instead, he kept turning my way every two seconds. He would have tripped over a rock if I hadn't warned him.

"Do I have sauce on my mouth again?" I asked.

"No, you different." He said.
I must say, I did not expect that answer.

"How?" I asked.

"Before I got to know you I thought you were snobby and annoying." He answered, his eyes never leaving my face.

"And now?" I asked.

"You fun and great to hang out with." He said.

We continued talking making funny empersinations.

We eventually lost track of time.

"Where have you been?" Those were the first words I heard as I entered the house.

My face and hair was covered in sand.

It was Xavier standing in front of me arms crossed.

"I..." I started.

He interrupted me before I could finish.

"Your class finished at one, it's now five p.m." he yelled.

"I'm sorry, I lost track of time." I said walking past him but before I got any further he grabbed my arm.

"This is my house, you don't so anything you f**ken feel like." His grip tighten on my arm.

"Xavier, you hurting me." I yelled.

"This is the last time I'm warming you." He said.

He let go of my arm before walking away.
