Chapter 11
Cassandra's POV
"Cassie, you have to wake-up." A deep mellifluous voice whispered into my ears.
"What!" I yelled. "Leave me alone." I said in a deep sleepy voice, my eyes still closed.
"It's twelve o'clock. You have to get up." He continued.
"Bitch, I said leave me alone." I yelled throwing a pillow over my head.
"Mood swings," he muttered.
I soon heard the sound of the door being shut.
I twisted and turned trying to fall asleep. Once I've been awaken I can't sleep.
I walked to the kitchen rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
"You finally awake." Xavier said drink his morning coffee.
At twelve o'clock
"We missed our appointment." He said.
"You wake me up again and you'll be missing a tooth." I threatened.
I took the milk out of the fridge making myself a cup of coffee.
Xavier immediately switched off the coffee machine.
"You can't have that, from now on only milk." He said.
"You not my dad, leave me alone." I said to him.
"But I could be," he said placing a smirk on his face.
I immediately cought on what he was trying to say.
Disgusting!
If I can't have coffee, so can he.
I grabbed his cup out of his hands then purred the coffee down the sink.
"Very mature," he said sarcastically as I walked out the kitchen.
"Freshen-up. I booked a new appointment at two!" He yelled.
I went back into my room to take a shower. As I showered, I sang on top of my lungs. It placed me in a good mood.
I'm pretty sure they could hear me from down stairs.
I wore a skirt and a top, my Abdominal maternity jeans weren't working for me.
"You know, if you were in trouble and yelling. We wouldn't know if you were screaming or singing." Xavier said.
I ignored him as I walked past him.
"I had Paula make breakfast, or should I say lunch." He said.
I sat at the table then began eating. After taking a few bites from my sandwich, I got up and took some ice cream from the kitchen. I took the whole bucket along.
"You can't have so much ice cream. It's not good for you." Xavier said, in an attempt to take it away from me.
"If you touch my ice cream I'll have you baby sit Ellie for a week." I threatened.
He immediately backed away looking at me defeatedly.
I dipped some fruits into the ice cream before eating. All the while Xavier was staring at me eyebrow raised with a questioning look on his face.
"So what appointment are we going to?" I asked.
"We going for a ultrasound. You six months Pregnant so I think this has been long overdue." He said.
"You could have given me a heads-up before booking the appointment," I said.
He didn't reply, once again he acted like he could control everyone.
I intentionally took my time eating wanting to raise his temper. Lately I've just felt like annoying him.
"Are you finally done?" He asked, his hand on his cheek staring at me announced.
"Yap," I said popping the 'P'.
Paula cleaned the table as we walked to the car.
We drove in silence, a smile planted on my face.
"Why are you so happy?" He asked as he took a glance at me.
"I'm just happy," I replied.
We walked out of the car after our arrival.
"Where is Dr Wilson's office, we have an appointment." Xavier asked the receptionist.
"Right this way,"A nurse said leading the way.
She stopped at a door that said Dr Wilson.
She smiled at us then walked back to the reception.
That's the thing about private hospitals, you can always count on stuf to be nice.
I glared at Xavier as he opened the door without knocking.
"Mr Kingsley," the doctor said. "I'm glad to see you,"
She gave us a warm smile welcoming us in.
She was a middle-aged women with golden brown hair in a pixie cut.
"You must be the lucky young lady," she said to me.
If only she knew, lucky was definitely out of the question.
"Let's get started," She said.
She led me onto the bed. I laid down on the bed, my head resting on the pillow. I pulled my shirt up as she applied a gel on my stomach. Next, she placed a transducer onto my belly. She rubbed it around my belly as a black and white image appeared on the ultrasound screen.
"There you go," she said gesturing at the screen.
"Why does it have two heads?" Xavier asked confused staring at the screen.
"That's because you having two babies." She said.
When I first found out I was pregnant, I was in shock, not knowing what to do. I knew Xavier would never believe it's his, and he still doesn't. I was more in shock today than the day I found out I was pregnant. I was happy, I just couldn't get myself to come to terms with it.
"With two babies?" I asked clarifying.
"Yes," Dr Wilson said.
Xavier seemed to be more shocked than I was.
When we were married, we never discussed about having children. It was always something for later on.
"Do you want to know the gender?" She asked.
"No," I said crying.
"It's okay, we can always find out the gender when the babies are born." Xavier said rubbing my back.
"I don't think I can be a mommy for two children right now. I can hardly handle you." I say to Xavier. "It would be like having three children. I don't think I can even push one child out." I whined.
"You know, we offer free therapy sessions if you'd like." Dr Wilson said handing me a tissue.
"That would be great," I whispered wipping my tears.
"Would you like pictures of the ultrasound?" She asked.
"Yes please," I said.
After handing Xavier the pictures she wiped the gel off my stomach.
"Your children are very healthy. You have to come for a check up every month. You can call me if you have any questions." She said.
We both nodded.
Xavier helped me off the bed after the doctor had suggested a healthy meal plan.
The walk to the car was silent. I kept my head down as we walked. I couldn't help but notice Xavier was smiling at the pictures of the ultrasound.
He suddenly stopped me in my tracks holding my hand.
"What?" I asked, staring at him as I noticed he was scanning my face.
"I know that our relationship hasn't been the best but I promise to be a better father to those children." He paused. "Even if they aren't my children."
"Xavier they..." I started but was interrupted by Xavier simply raising his hand.
"You don't have to say it." He said.
We proceeded walking to the car.
"Xavier I'm hungry," I said as I buckled my seatbelt.
"Again? You ate less than an hour ago." He said.
"And now I'm hungry again." I said.
"Fine, we'll stop at Patina." He said.
Along with his private hotels, he also owned a chain of restaurants.

Two week later
I rested my head on the pillow, thinking of what I was going to do for the rest of the day.
Xavier was off to work, Benjamin was only coming in later today and whenever I tried to speak to one of the maids they only answered me with one word questions, besides, today was their off day. For some weird reason they had a off day on the same day.
Once again I felt the lonelyness creep in. Lynne was supposed to be back a week ago but now she's not even answering my calls.
For the past few days, Xavier has been very tolerant towards me. He has even offered foot massages and watched the Notebook five times in the same day with me, without complaining (I just wanted to test his patients).
I went downstairs ready to drink my morning smoothie. I hated it because it was full of herbs.
Since no one else was at home with me today, Xavier promised to come home early, even though I didn't ask.
As I put the raspberries into the blander I heard a loud knock on the door. I was going to ignore it for Paula to open but then I remembered she wasn't here
I walked to the door dragging my feet as my footsteps echoed through the hall.
Maybe it was Lynne, maybe she finally came back from New York but couldn't call to tell me.
I opened the door, a huge smile formed on my face.
My smile immediately dropped as my eyes met with his.
He was staring at me, a smirk formed on his face.
What was Antonio doing here!
