"Come on. Get up sleepy head. You're friend's Cindy is coming over today remember? We can't have her here with you sleeping can we?" I ask Millie.

Millie jolts up in her bed,"Is Cindy here?" She asked sleepily.

"No she isn't but she'll be here in awhile sweetheart. Why don't we go downstairs and eat breakfast or do you want to take a shower first?" I ask Millie.

"Breakfast." Millie mumbles rubbing her eyes.

"Okay then let's go downstairs. Come on." I get up and open my arms and pick up Millie who's still pretty sound asleep.

We walk downstairs and I place Millie down on the sofa and hand her a glass of orange juice.

I put on some cartoons and let Millie unwind a little until breakfast.

"Oh look who's up!" Selena says walking out of the kitchen. Millie automatically runs to hug Selena.

"Are you excited for your day today?" Selena asks with a smile.

Millie and Selena take a seat beside me,"Yes! We're going to have fun!" Millie exclaims and focuses on the tv once again.

Selena gets up again and walks into the kitchen, I follow her into the kitchen.

I lean against the counter as Selena smiles at me.

"She loves you more then she loves me." I whine.

"That's not true!" Selena says.

"Don't even deny it babe." I say.

"It's not that. I'm a girl and so maybe that's why she may act differently around me and talk to me about different things and also she's been living with you since the day she was born while I've only been living with her for a month now. She's just not bored of me yet." Selena says.

"She's bored of me then?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"Well you are old and boring so I don't blame the kid." Selena smirks at me.

I roll my eyes,"Okay."

"Just kidding Harry. You're very fun." Selena smirks my way.

"I know. You don't need to tell me twice." I smile at Selena.

Selena and I were in the living room shifting between channels deciding what to watch. Millie was causally waiting for her friend to arrive as she was running around the house.

The doorbell rang and Millie rushed outside. Selena and I both got up and ran behind her. Someone is very excited. Before Selena and I could even reach the door, Millie and a little girl who I'm assuming is Cindy walked inside.

"Hello." Selena smiles at her.

"I'm Cindy!" The girl exclaims.

"This is my dad and this is my mom." Millie introduces us to her friend. I look over to see Selena as shocked as me.

"Can we go upstairs now?" Millie asks.

"Yeah sure. Have fun." I smile at her and the two little girls run upstairs.

Selena and I look at each other,"Wow." I say.

"Yeah. That was unexpected." Selena smiles slightly.

"But you're fine with that right? You're not weirded out?" I ask.

Selena smiles,"Why would I be weirded out? I love the girl and I feel honored that she cares for me that much to put a label. Are you fine with her calling or thinking of me as her mom?"

"Yeah Ofcourse I am." I smile. I'm glad she called you mom.

"Come on lets watch a movie on Netflix or something." Selena suggests.

"Are you suggesting we Netflix and Chill like the kids are saying these days? I know very well what that means babe." I smirk.

Selena rolls her eyes,"Get your mind out of the gutter you old perv."

"Oh I'm an old perv am I?" I ask moving towards her.

"Yes you are. " Selena said in a matter of fact tone.

"Let me just show you what an old perv I am then." I joke. Selena gets my message and sprints the other direction.

I follow behind her,"For an old person I run pretty fast don't you think?"

"Yeah you do!" I hear Selena's voice from the top of the staircase. Found her. I smile to myself as I run up the staircase.

....

I realized something today, Selena's the one. She's the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. The one I want to see every morning when I wake up. I want Selena to be the mother of my future children. I think the fact that Millie embraced Selena as her mom, which I might seem like such a not so important thing for someone as Millie is just a little girl but it made me realize that I can't lose Selena ever again.

So tonight, we had planned that we were going to go out to dinner but I was just on my way to the jeweler to pick up the perfect ring for her. However, I couldn't do that alone so I stop at someone's house.

I knock on the door and a few seconds later it was opened by Josh,"Harry! Hey." Josh smiles at me.

"Hey mate. How are you?"

"I'm good yourself?" Josh asks.

"I'm pretty good actually. Is Nina here? I was hoping to borrow her for awhile."

"Yeah let me just call her." Josh says and disappears for a few seconds and then Nina shows up at the door.

"Hey Harry! What's up?" Nina smiles. A month ago Nina would have punched me in the face if she saw me but we saw each other a few times this past month and we're all good.

"Hello! I want to get Selena something but I need your opinion on it before? Can you come with me for a little while if you aren't busy?" I ask.

Nina smiles,"Sure. Let me just grab my bag. I'll be out."

"I'll just be in the car." I say and Nina nods and disappears inside to fetch her bag.

After a few minutes the passenger door opens and Nina takes a seat and I turn on the car.

"So where are we going?" Nina asks.

"To the Jewelers'." I say.

Nina looks at me with wide eyes,"Are you going to propose to her?"

"I'm planning on it!" I smile.

"Oh my God! Yess. I'm so happy for you guys. When are you going to do it?" Nina asks.

"Tonight."

"Tonight? Why didn't you pick out the ring before?"

"Well I just had the idea this morning." I admit.

"Oh. What made you want to propose?"

"Well Millie called Selena mom and that made me realize a few things one of them being that life is short." I say.

"Aww that's sweet. So how are you going to do it?" Nina asks.

"I don't know. We had made reservations at her favorite restaurant a week ago, so we're going out to dinner. I thought about maybe the classic ring in the wine glass or in the dessert but I don't really want it to be in a crowded place where Selena might feel the pressure to say yes just to please everyone." I say.

"Selena loves you Harry. She's going to say yes." Nina says.

"Yeah I guess you're right but I also want it to be an intimate moment in silence." I say.

"I get it. So what else do you think could work?" Nina asks.

"I don't know. If we go on the rooftop and I propose to her there but that was the way Daniel proposed to her so.." I say.

"Wait how did you know that's how he proposed to her?" Nina asks.

"I have my ways." I say.

"Creep." Nina jokes and we both chuckle.

"I just got off the phone with Gigi. She told me." I admit.

"Oh that makes sense." Nina says.

"So what way should I propose?" I ask.

"Oh I got the best idea!" Nina says suddenly.

"I had a fun time. Dinner was amazing." Selena smiles.

"I'm glad you had a good time babe." I say.

"You're not too tired are you?" I ask.

"No I'm good. Why?" Selena smiles.

"Lets have a cup of tea on the balcony and dessert?" I suggest.

Selena smiles,"That sounds nice."

"Why don't you go upstairs and I'll quickly get the tea and the ice cream out." I say.

"Okay babe." Selena kisses my cheek and walks upstairs.

I take out two round fancy cups and set some water on the stove. I take out a nice piece of paper and write "Will you marry me?" In nice cursive dark ink. I place the note at the end and put in the tea bag. I take out ice cream in two fancy bowls and place a little candle I bought today in the middle of the tray. I reach into my hand to see that I still have the ring in my pocket. All set.

I walk upstairs into our bedroom and inside the balcony. I place the tray on the table and take a seat beside Selena who was staring at the stars. She looks over and smiles at me.

"Today has been magical." Selena smiles.

"I'm glad you're enjoying it love." I place my hand on top of hers.

"Thanks for the tea. I was really craving one." Selena says and picks up her cup.

"No worries." I smile.

Selena and I stare at the sky in peace an silence sipping our tea. She's almost about to finish it. Here's my shot. I tell Selena I'm going to stand up a little so I set my cup on the table and move to the other side of the balcony closer to Selena.

Selena takes her last sip and as she puts her cup down the note catches her eye and she gasps. I take that as my queue to get down on one knee in front of her. I pull out the box from my hand and open it. Selena moves her head and gasps once again when she sees me kneeled in front of her.

"Selena Marie Gomez, you have changed my life since the minute I first spoke to you on the phone. I was purposely acting like a jerk to you and your sass blew me away and the first time I saw you, I couldn't help but think how beautiful you were. Even when you were fuming at me for spilling coffee on your black and white dress. I never thought I would love again, I never thought I would find someone who loves me for me and not what I have. You get me better than anyone else. I'm not going to lie, I wasn't planning on doing this tonight but after Millie called you mom something blew inside of me and I just couldn't imagine life without you. You're the best thing that ever happened to me and I want to see you every morning next to me when I wake up and every night when I fall asleep. I want to hold you in my arms for the rest of my life and I want you to be the mother of my future children. This is sudden I know, but life is short and I just want you to be mine forever. No way in hell am I ever losing you again. What do you say? Selena Marie Gomez will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" I ask.

Selena's eyes are all watery and she nods her head frantically,"Yes! Yes. Ofcourse I'll marry you!"

I smile and put the ring on her finger. I get up and cup Selena's face in my hands and plant a huge kiss on her lips. We pull away with our foreheads against each other. We look into each others eyes and smile.

"I love you." Selena says.

"And I love you." I say,"Do you like the ring?" I ask.

"It's gorgeous" Selena says still looking at me.

I chuckle,"You didn't even see it!"

"I don't care what it looks like as long as it's given by you." Selena smiles.

"I apologize for this not being one of those grand gestures for a proposal. What can I say, your ex boyfriend one upped me." I joke.

"But you one upped my heart and as long as I have you, I don't need anything else." Selena smiles.

"That's all I needed to hear." I smile and pull her closer to my chest. Today is an amazing day, I couldn't possibly be more happier. I love this beautiful girl in front of me.
