"Yeah sure that sounds great! 5 then?" I ask.

"Sure perfect. See you then Selena!" Courtney says.

"Yeah see you too. Bye."

"Bye." She says and hangs up.

I put my phone aside and head downstairs to the living room where everyone was watching a movie.

As I enter the room, everyone looks up at me.

"Everything okay sweetie?" My dad asks.

I smile,"Oh yeah. It was just Courtney. We made plans for the evening." I say taking a seat next to Harry.

"Courtney Barry right? Mandy told me that she's moving to New York soon." Sara adds.

"Yeah she is. She told me the other day when we ran into each other at the mall." I say.

Sara and Dad just nod and divert their attention back to the tv.

"When will you be going with this Courtney?" Harry asks leaning into me.

"She told me to come to this café at 5:00." I tell him.

"At that very time, your dad, Brian and Jay are taking me to my first ever baseball match." Harry says, his tone laced with fake excitement.

I chuckle lowly so the others don't hear,"Well that's fun. Way to be a good sport Harry!"

"I know right?" Harry jokes."Also is it alright if Millie tags along with you and your friend? Sara said she's going to her mom's with the kids in awhile."

"Yeah sure. Courtney loves kids. It's fine." I smile.

"Thanks babe. When do I get to meet this Courtney though? You've practically met all of my friends and I've only met Nina and Josh."

"How about this, you drop Millie and I to the place and then pick us up in an hour and a half? By the time the match will over so you can chat with Courtney for a few." I suggest.

"Sounds like a plan." Harry smiles at me showing off his adorable dimples.

....

"So I'll pick you up when the match ends?" Harry asks.

"Yup that's fine. Just text me when you get here." I say.

"Alright have fun. And Millie you be a good girl alright sweetheart?"

"Okay Daddy!" Millie smiles.

Harry leans in to place a kiss on my cheek and smiles,"See you later. I love you."

I smile,"I love you too." I step out of the car and help Millie get out. We wave to Harry one last time and walk towards the café.

As soon as we enter the Café I spot Courtney sitting on one of the tables next to the windows.

"Come on Millie, there's Courtney. Let's go." I say to Millie.

Courtney spots us and immediately gets up and smiles. She moves to me and embraces me in a warm hug,"Hey Sel." She smiles.

She bends down and smiles at Millie,"And hello there cutie. Millie right?" She asks.

"Yup." Millie smiles.

We pull away and take our seats. Millie sits close to me and just stares out of the window,"So how is everything going Sel? You still working at Styles' Establishment?" Courtney asks.

"Yeah I am. I work at the headquarters now. Actually that's where Harry and I met." I tell her.

"Wait you're boyfriend isn't the famous Harry Styles is he?" Courtney quirks an eyebrow at me.

"The one and only." I chuckle.

"Wow Sel, dating the boss! How scandalous." Courtney jokes.

I laugh,"I know right?"

"How is he though? Looking at Millie I can tell he's probably insanely hot."

"You bet he is." I joke.

"Wow. Can't wait to meet him. How long have you been together for?" Courtney asks.

"Almost a year now." I smile.

"Well that's nice. You seem very happy, Sel." Courtney smiles.

"I am. I genuinely am." I smile.

"I'm happy for you Sel. So shall we order something?" Courtney asks.

"Yeah sure!" I say.

"No but seriously, she and I were proper enemies. I wonder what I'll do if I met her today." Courtney.

"Oh I'm pretty sure I know what you'll do." I joke and both of us start chuckling.

"High School." Courtney chuckles.

"Tell me about it." I laugh.

I look over to Millie who's playing a game on my phone while eating her ice cream,"Do you like your ice cream Millie?" I ask.

"Yup! I love it." She smiles at me and then diverts her attention back to the phone.

"God she's so adorable." Courtney says.

"I know right?"

"She seems very fond of you as well." Courtney comments.

"I'm very fond of her as well." I smile.

"So when are you moving to New York?" I ask.

"A week from now. I'm very excited." She smiles.

"Why are you moving anyways? Did your bank transfer there or something?" I ask.

"Actually, the bank I work at here has a branch in New York for years now and they offered me a job there when I told them I want to leave for New York." Courtney says.

I take a sip of my coffee,"So you're just moving as a change?"

Courtney smiles,"Yes and no. My boyfriend is there. He moved there a few months ago and I finally decided to move. Leave Texas."

"You never told me about your boyfriend. Who is he? Do I know him?" I ask.

"Yeah you do. Cory? Cory Ronald." Courtney says blushing slightly.

"Wait? Cory Ronald? The high school-smart ass Cory?" I ask almost choking on my drink.

"That's the one." Courtney mumbles.

"You two hated each other! You guys were always fighting and so competitive about everything! How did this happen?" I ask laughing a little.

"Well we ran into each other 2 years ago, coincidentally he worked at my competition bank. We were mean to each at first but then well we came together." Courtney says.

I smile,"Aww. I'm so happy for you Court. I guess it's true then. Hate turns into love. I have to be honest, I always thought the two of you would make an adorable couple back in high school." I admit.

"No way! Why didn't you ever tell me?" She asks.

"Cause I knew you would have slapped me across my face." I laugh.

"Well that's true." Courtney chuckles.

"Hello ladies." I hear a voice behind me and I turn around to see my boyfriend standing there. I smile and get up.

I quickly hug him and speak,"Courtney this is Harry, Harry this is Courtney." I introduce them.

"Lovely to meet you Courtney." Harry smiles and extends his hand for her.

"Likewise Harry." Courtney smiles shaking his hand.

Harry takes a seat beside me and Millie automatically hops onto his lap.

Courtney looks up at her phone,"Shit. It's already 7:30. Time went by fast. I'm sorry but I have dinner with Cory and his parents at 8:00. I should really get going." Courtney says getting up.

"Yeah sure go ahead." I smile as I move to hug her.

"It was lovely meeting you Harry. We should really make plans in New York." Courtney says to me.

"Yeah for sure. Cory, You, Harry and I." I smile.

"Done. Talk to you later Sel." She smiles.

"Bye. Have fun on your dinner." I say and she walks away.

I take a seat in front of Harry where Courtney was previously sitting.

"I wanna finish my coffee and then we can leave?" I say to Harry.

"Sure." He smiles.

I was done within 5 minutes or so and all of us headed out. I was carrying Millie in my arms as she was really tired. I was talking to Harry and was looking at him so I carelessly bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry!" I apologize looking up at the person.

"It's alright. Wait, Selena? Selena Gomez?" The guy asks. He seems very familiar.

"Yeah. That's me." I say.

"It's me Tyler? Tyler Smith." He says.

All the sudden, I realize."Hey! How have you been? You look so different. Practically unrecognizable." I smile.

"Haha. I get that alot. I'm good. How are you? What brings you to Texas?" He asks.

"Oh just celebrating Christmas with the family." I smile.

"And you're a mom now! I didn't know." He says pointing towards Millie.

"Oh no. She isn't mine. This is Harry. My boyfriend and this is his daughter. Harry this is Tyler. We went to high school together." I introduce them.

The two men shake hands,"We also dated for 3 years. Forgetting that part Selena?" Tyler jokes.

I chuckle,"Haha no. Still remember."

"It was nice running into you but I should really get going now." I say.

"Yeah. Nice to see you again too. Take care Selena." Tyler smiles.

"You too." I smile. Tyler leans in and hugs me briefly and then walks away.

Harry and I walk to the car and I carefully put Millie in the backseat so she doesn't wake up.

"So why did you guys break up?" Harry asks once he starts the car.

"Oh well I got accepted to go to NYU Stern while he wanted to stay here in Texas." I state.

"So if you wouldn't have moved you guys would still be together." Harry mumbles. I notice that the tone in his voice is awfully harsh.

"Are you jealous or something by any chance?" I ask.

Harry doesn't even look at me,"Me? And jealous. Come on. Have you seen that guy. Come on Selena."

I lowly chuckle so Harry doesn't notice. I place my hand on his knee,"Even if you are you shouldn't be because you're the only guy for me. I love you."

Harry looks over at me,"You better."

"I do." I smile.
