~Gianu Pov~

An hour had passed and I have now finally finished cooking, the storm was here already, I could see the heavy pattering of the raindrops as it hit the window pane hard. I took some food out for David as I cling wrap it and put it aside. Now all that's left is to wake Asher and have dinner.

I walk over to him to see him peacefully asleep on the couch, he snored quite loudly, I stoop down with my face close to his as I stare at him in his sleepful state, it felt so wrong to wake him but I must, he's hungry. He then opened his eyes as he sees me right in front of him. My bright blue eyes pierced his dim brown eyes as we momentarily stare at each other for a brief moment, if I could take this one second and freeze it in time, I would, so I'll always have this peaceful memory.

"Ash...", I say to him as he delivered a heavy fist to my face as I fall to the ground.

"Gianu, oh my god", said Asher as he springs up from the couch.

"Ash, what the hell", he said.

"I'm so sorry, you scared me", says Asher. 

He then helped me up as he sighed.

"Why were you watching me sleep?", he asked.

"I wasn't I was now about to wake you", I say. 

This is so embarrassing. If he only knew I was staring at him sleeping! 

"Dinner is done, I packed some food for Daniel, you can take it to him", I say as the thunder roared.

Ash then jumped in fright as he yelled.

"You're afraid of thunder?", I ask.

"Yes", he said with a scared look on his face.

This guy is so fragile.

"I'll take the food for Daniel, you wait here, we'll have dinner when I return", I say to him.

I turned around to face the kitchen as I felt him tugging on my shirt like a child.

"Don't leave me alone", he whispered as the room lit up. 

There was a lightning strike as soon as he said that and what comes after a lightning strike? 

"Thunder", I say as Asher buried his face on my back, his arms wrap around me tightly as he hugged me from behind. 

 I could feel his warm breath against my back as his body shook in fear, he really was afraid of thunder. He held me so tight, I wasn't able to move my feet. The thunder then hit as the entire room vibrated, I turn around to face him, he was so scared right now. 

"Don't go", he whispered like a lost puppy. 

"We gotta feed Daniel, come with me then", I say to him. 

"Okay", he said as he loosened his grip. 

...

He walked right beside me as we make our way through the halls.

"We shouldn't take the elevators, in case power goes out, we'd be trapped inside", I say to him as we head towards the staircase, thankfully, the hotel has just 5 floors so it wasn't a long walk. 

Daniel greeted us as I hand him the food.

"For me?", he said in shock.

"Yes", I say to him. 

"Asher made it for you", I say to him.

"Thank you, Asher, I really mean it", said Daniel.

"You're welcome", said Asher as he stuttered. 

"That was some loud thunder, if this continues, we'll definitely lose power, there are candles in the bedroom of your rooms", he says.

"Thank you", I smile at him as we headed back upstairs.

...

"You cooked the meal, why did you tell him I cooked it?", asked Asher.

"It was the thought that counts, no matter who takes the credit, plus it was your idea", I say to him as the staircase lit up.

Asher then frantically jumped on me as we both fall, I grab the railing, catching him right before we both fell down the stairs. Anger then took over as I yell.

"Asher!", I yell as a tear fell from his eyes. 

I was immediately brought back down to earth as the thunder roared as Asher grabbed my legs with dear life as he quivered in fear, this boy, he truly is afraid. 

I help him up as his body quivered in fear. Another bolt of lightning lit up the staircase as I grab his hands. 

"Look into my eyes", I say to him as he did.

The fear in his eyes then disappeared as he looked into mine, the thunder hit harder this time but Asher didn't react to it, he was too busy looking into my eyes that he didn't even notice the thunder.

"You can be sweet sometimes huh?", he said to me.

"Just sometimes", I whisper to him.

We made our way back to the Presidential suite as one last blast of lightning blinded us, that was it, the bolt that cut our power, it went completely black as I immediately grab Asher's hand. My body started shaking in fear. Damn it! Not now! 

"No way", said Asher. 

I take a deep breath as everything went black. We were in complete darkness.

"You're afraid of the dark", he says to me.

"Everyone is afraid of something", I say to him. 

"I'll lead us back to the room, it's right up here", he says.

He then activated the flashlight on his phone as he led us back to the Presidental Suite. 

We get inside as I blow a sigh of relief, the lightning kept illuminating the dark but it wasn't enough, it was still pitch black. 

"May I have my hand back now?", he asked.

I then noticed I was still holding his hand. Wow, Gianu, you are so weak, I say to myself. 

What a once in a lifetime situation. There's a storm right outside with continuous lightning and screaming thunder, the power also went out, Asher has a fear of thunder while I have a fear of the dark.

"What could possibly go wrong?", I say as the lightning and thunder continued.
