Iqraam

Zahi woke up when I was finishing my pending work, signing off papers and setting the coming months target 

i had been working since Zohr prayer while she slept peacefully in my bed

She walked to me, rubbing her eyes and I smiled at her

She was pink from rubbing her eyes too much

I pulled her hand out of her eyes and chuckled

"You fell asleep, during the show" I said and she gave me a toothy grin

Although some of the teeth were missing.

"where is mama?" She asked me sleepily

"She is... with my mama- now-" i said as i picked her up in my arms "- what do you want to do?"

She thought for a while and sighed

"I wiesh I had gotten my toys from home!!!!" She whined

I grinned

Who said I did not have toys?

"You wanna play with toys? Don't you wanna watch movies or play games?" I asked her and she shook her head

"I want to play Spiderman!!" She yelled and I laughed

"You mean the game Spiderman, right?" I asked her and she shook her head

"Baya hwas thish toys that look like spidey!!!!"she said and I grinned

"Come on... let's see what toys we can find..." I said as we walked out of my room and down to the nursery

I stood in front of the huge closet with toys

"Okay I open, you choose" I said and she nodded

I had placed her on one of the chairs

Zaik stood beside her, we decided to play with Zaik too!

I opened the closet to reveal all Iqra and I's childhood toys

From the worst to the best

"You have action figures?!" Asked Zaik and I nodded

Since Sohayl was here most of the time with Shumayll, we stocked up this place more

"Cool!!!" Said Zaik going through them
"SPIIDDEEYYY!!" Screamed Zahi she she saw Spiderman stuffed toy

I picked it up and gave it to her

soon we all were picking up various toys and putting them into my old toy cart before Zaik and Zahi decided to pull them up to my room 

we set on the floor and i set up the huge trail for car racing 

i brought it recently because i was so fascinated by it!

the best thing about it was that it was so damn long that it took up the entire living room space of my room 

Zahi decided to place small houses and barns and what not in between the tracks to make it 'homely'

Zaik placed about sky scrapers and towering building and Zahi hung 'spidey' from the tallest skyscraper

the place was set and i chuckled looking about 

"Wow" i said as i took photos of it 

Zahi made faces and Zaik and I laughed out at her 

she giggled 

the door opened and i looked up 

there stood a very amused Ruqayyah, but something was wrong about her eyes 

they seemed puffy, like.. like she cried.. but why would she cry?

"What is going on here?" she asked us and Zaik and Zahi looked at me 

i shrugged 

my room, my den, my rules!

or not 

Ammi popped her head from over Ruqayyah's shoulder and her mouth hung open 

"Mohammed Iqraam Hamza Ibrahim! what on earth happened here!?!" she screamed out loud 

i flinched and hearing her voice, abba walked into the room 

"Woahhh- who did this?" he asked us 

"We did it-" i replied and he laughed

"This is so cool- Fatima, look at the set up, will you?" he said to my mom, while examining the set up 

He set down at the end of the track 

"So how does this thing work?" he asked me and i shrugged 

"I have no idea" i replied honestly 

"I told him not to buy it but no- racing is his life!- he had said!" said ammi and heaved a heavy sigh 

"Whoever marries you will have to deal with this the whole life! wallahi, i pity her!" she said in a monotone and i assume she had forgotten that my to-be wife standing beside her!

abba laughed and i blushed 

"Mah- i will set it back up, chill-" i said and she glared at me 

her eyes turned to Zahi and Zaik and she smiled 

"I am letting you go because the two chubby kids are playing about!" she said and i nodded grinning

"So how do we play this thing?" asked abba out of no where

i stared at him and shrugged

"Lets play!!!" yelled Zahi and we started the race

I took a small toy black car, Zaik had the blue one, Zahi took the red truck and Abba took the purple hot wheels- all remote controlled

"You are playing without me?" asked Namaan coming into the room and abba gestured him to come 

the tracks were set up in a way that it was high and low

you had to be very careful 

"Get one and lets start!!!" said abba and we nodded

"One, two, threeee" yelled Zahi and soon all 5 vehicles raced off 

i was leading when Zahi overtook me and i stared at her 

she giggled 

i laughed before heading ahead not until abba took over

"Later losers!!" he yelled and walked around the tracks 

I smirked as i accelerated 

this was fun!

I took over and soon Namaan was leading, Zaik took over, Zahi took over them and i took over all 

i was about to hit the line when the bright red truck hit past me and won 

i stared at Zahi, my mouth slightly ajar 

did she just beat me at my game? 

she crossed her arms and grinned at me 

I picked her up and tickled her, causing her to burst into fits of giggles 

"No one dares to beat me at my own game!!" i said and she giggled more 

finally i stop tickling her and she kissed my cheeks 

"Thank you!" she said 

i stared at her confused 

"what for?" i asked her as she wrapped her tiny arms around me 

"You are the best friend ever!!!" she said and i laughed

"Well you are my best friend ever!" i said and she hugged me tight 

"I love you, Iqraam uncle!!" she whispered and i chuckled

pulling her away from my body, i grinned at her as she squealed at being hung in the air 

'Well, I also love you alot, Miss Zahi!" i said and she giggled

"Wanna play need for speed?" i asked her putting her back on her feet and she stared at me 

"Its racing game" i explained and she grinned 

"Yes!!!" she said and the looked around 

"but after we clean up-" she said and i nodded

abba, Namaan and Zaik were already cleaning up, putting the toys back to its places

my mouth hung open when i saw Ruqayyah leaning on the door frame, looking at us with sparkling eyes 

please tell me, she was not here while we were playing...!

I ran my hand through my messy hair and began collecting toys 

finally after what seemed like hours, of collecting and setting up my room, we sprinted downstairs for something to eat 

after shuffling around the kitchen looking for food, i let out a frustrated growl when i did not find a thing to eat 

"Where are all the fruits? or even a packet of chips? hack i can't even find ice cream!" i said as i walked into the living room 

"I guess we are out of stock- why don't you just go stock it all up?" asked ammi and i sighed

"I stocked it like... last week!" i said incredulously 

she laughed and so did abba and the girls

Namaan was somewhere playing with Zaik and the girls were seated in the living room with Ruqayyah and my parents 

"We had extra people-" said Ammi and my eyes went wide when everything made sense 

"Ohh- so now?" i asked ammi and she laughed

"Why don't you go shopping? stock it all up?" she asked me 

i nodded

i turned around and almost bumped into Zahi 

'Woah there- why were you behind me?" i asked her 

'She has been following you about since you both sprinted in here!" said Iqra and i nodded 

i grinned when an idea hit me 

"How about we go shopping?" i asked picking her up in my arms and she grinned 

"Oh no she can't- she won't, actually" said Ruqayyah immediately standing up 

I raised my eyebrows in a questioning manner

"She- you really don't wanna take her- she would make it hard for you to even shop-" explained Ruqayyah and i chuckled

i turned to Zahi and grinned

"You are that naughty?" i asked her and she giggled in my arms 

"No, plus we need to leave anyway-" said Ruqayyah and ammi stood up 

"No- i will have someone drop you after dinner, dear- and as for Zahi- she should go with him- so will the girls and you-" said ammi 

Ruqayyah shook her head

"No ammi!" said Iqra and so did the other two sisters of mine 

"Why not?" ammi questioned them and they grinned

Iqra linked one arm with Ruqayyah's right hand and Nabaahat linked the left, Nafaasat linked her arm with Iqra and they grinned at each other

"We will stay home and spend time with Ruqayyah bhab- bubu" Iqra quickly covered her slip-up and grinned

ammi nodded and turned to me 

'Wanna take the boys?" she asked me and i nodded

"Zaik and Namaan!!" called ammi and they both sprinted into the living room 

"Wanna go shopping with them?" asked abba and they shook their heads

"Why not?" asked ammi suspiciously 

the two grinned and glanced at each other 

"we were playing god of war" said Namaan and ammi heaved a deep sigh

"Wallahi- okay go-" she said and turned to Zahi and me 

"I guess its the two of you only" she said and i nodded 

"Let me change then we go" i said to Zahi and she nodded

i let her on the floor and ran up to my room 

grabbing skinnies, white tees and black hoodie, i went for a short shower 

wearing my clothes, after a very short shower, i took my Adidas black striped flip flops, they are my fave btw, and walked downstairs setting up my messy hair and applying aftershave and perfume at the same time 

god that was hard work!

"Shall we?" i asked Zahi who had her long hair in a neat side braid 

she was chubby and reached up to half my legs only 

she was short

her hair was brownish black and she had chubby cheeks and an adorable smile with round eyes to make her look damn adorable 

"yeah" she said as she walked to me, her lavender dress flowing as she walked 

"Are you wearing your sneakers?" asked Ruqayyah as she walked to Zahi and Zahi shook her head 

Ruqayyah shook her head and walked outside with her and i followed suit making sure i had my wallet and broken iphone! 

i need to buy one today on the way back 

"Do not harrass him, k?" said Ruqayyah as Zahi set on the steps and tied her shoe laces herself 

"Yes mama" Zahi replied as she tied her left shoe lace 

"Shall we?" i asked her and she nodded taking my hand 

before we left, she hugged her mother and ran to the SUV 

"You can't let her sit infront without a child seat, you know that right" said Ruqayyah and i slapped my forehead 

she was 3 years old! 

"Shoot!" i muttered and she laughed

I opened the door of the SUV and picked Zahi up placing her firmly on the seat 

i buckled her up and grinned

"We will get it on the way" i said and Ruqayyah was about to say something when i spoke

"Don't worry, she will be fine with me!" i said and winked

"Allah hafiz" i said as i walked to the driver side of the SUV 

"Shall weh?" asked Zahi and i grinned 

Buckling up, i started the ignition and drove out of my driveway to the nearest car shop 

it was a 10 minute drive from home and thankfully, we made it without getting booked for not having a child seat and not getting hurt 

i walked inside with Zahi gripping my hand firmly 

"Child seats- almost 4 years old" i said and the man smiled 

He led me to the childs corner and showed me some of it

"The best" i said and he grinned 

he pulled out one, black and red with green and blue mixed 

I turned to Zahi and she grinned

"I will have that" i said and went to the main cash out to pay 

after paying, i put the seat on the back passenger seat and let Zahi get settled 

the seat was hooked to the main one so Zahi getting hurt would be no problem 

"You okay there?" i asked her as i got in the SUV to drive to the store 

she grinned

"I loveh it!" she said and i laughed

She played with the strings and toys that was attached to the seat as we drove to the supermarket 

I parked the car and got off 

opening the back door, i helped Zahi out of the seat and she jumped out of the SUV 

i held her hand as i locked the car and walked inside the supermarket 

i pulled out my phone and went through the usual list 

except i needed to buy more amount of things this time 

I took a trolley and put Zahi in it 

"Now where do we start?" i asked her and she pointed to the fruit section 

i grinned 

lets get shopping!!!

I wanted to write their whole shopping trip but i had already written like 2000 words so i left it! :D
