Iqraam 

i made it! 

20 hours in flight and we finally landed in Cape Town 

in another 2 hours i will be home!

as usual, the flashes began as soon as we stepped out of the plane 

i was behind ammi and the girls took the lead with Namaan at the front 

abba was last 

of course i had to tell the media what had happened in Tahiti but i assume they already know by reading the tabloids 

"This is not going to be pretty!" muttered ammi pushing her shades up 

i laughed at her comment 

"No need to be pretty- we cool- just walk out of this- the security has it all covered!" i said as i gestured to my bodyguards 

i don't need them but when it comes to my family, i am overly protective and i am proud to say that i am! 

"our flight leaves in another half an hour- get anything you want- but can w just have a decent breakfast first!?" whined Namaan and we nodded 

heading to the nearest halal restaurant, we ordered our food 

i was not a fan of food so i just went with fruits and a bottle of Fiji water 

"So once we reach there, we rest and go to Ruqayyah's place?" asked abba and ammi nodded 

oh come on!

"You guys can't be more real! you can't just go to her and talk- something- " i muttered and the rest chuckled 

"Fine- heres the deal- we have a dua at our place- we will go give invitation to her-" said ammi 

i sighed 

wow my family!

"Umm shes my PA, she is suppose to organize these things, herself" i said and abba nodded

"Look, none of us here are businessmen or woman, so we don't know such things" said ammi and i chuckled 

the TV in the restaurant was playing some news channel and todays news came up 

damn they are fast 

"Damnnn they are fast" muttered Iqra and i wanted to laugh coz she voiced out my thoughts 

"I look cute!" winked Namaan and earned a slap from Nafaasat 

"If a donkey was considered cute, i would say so!" she said and soon we all burst laughing 

she had humor 

soon, amongst laughter and chats, we finished our breakfast 

"Okay so shall we leave?' asked abba getting up to pay for the bills 

i shook my head 

"Le'mme pay" i said and he stopped me 

"For once Iqraam, let others take the credit!" he winked and i laughed shaking my head

He leaned infront and smirked

"You took care of your mom for long enough and now i think its high time, i take whats mine!" he winked again and i chuckled 

raising my hands in surrender, i grinned at him 

"Go ahead!" i said before heading out with the rest 

We stood infront of our next flight 

with a content sigh, i got in and took my seat 

putting on seat belt, i lay my head back and let sleep consume me again 

yesterday i did not get any sleep at all 

slowly, with fading thoughts, i went into slumber

i sighed as i lay on my bed after the whole journey 

there is really no place like home 

i sighed in content 

our house was not that huge 

it was only 3 bedroom place and had one guest room that was hardly used- usually Shumayll would just crash in with me so it was not used at all 

It had one pool in the backyard and it was sorta green with plants and flowers of variety since ammi loves plants 

so yes thats our place 

not that huge nor too small 

Just perfect 

"Iqraammm" called out ammi and i stood up and walked downstairs lazily 

"Yes mah?" i said as i stood infront of my family 

they still had not changed 

"How come you are already showered?" asked ammi 

"I took a 10 minute shower and relaxed for another 5 minutes, what happened?" i asked her eyeing everyone 

"We can't decide where we will stay" said Nafaasat 

i gave them a questioning glance 

"What do you mean?" i asked 

ammi cleared her throat 

"uh... you bought this house for us only- it had 3 bedrooms, all occupied and the guest room is not really in the condition to be used!" said ammi 

ohh 

"That makes sense..." i muttered

"Love is suppose to make you wiser, not dumb!" said ammi and i laughed 

"I am wise- just did not think of it-" i muttered

i clasped my hands and heaved a deep breath 

"So what did you all think?" i asked them 

"that we hit the living room" said Namaan grinning 

"Its a no" i replied 

"Why?" asked Namaan pouting 

"Because- its inappropriate to sleep on the floor in a huge house like this!" i said and they rolled their eyes 

literally all of them, including Iqra and abba 

i sighed 

"Fine- we split- ammi and abba one room-" i said and they again rolled their eyes 

"Obvious- where do we go?" asked Nafaasat 

"You two go with Iqra and Namaan, You heading to my room!" i said and he started whining 

"I wanted to watch movies!!" he whined and i laughed

"I have a friking LED in my room!" i said and he grinned 

"So we good?" i asked and they nodded 

I walked back to my room, leading Namaan to it 

"thats the bathroom, shower and change-" i said and he nodded 

i lay back in my bed as i go through the news 

photos all over 

I opened my contacts and called Ruqayyah 

"As salaam!!!" she said 

I grinned 

"Why happy?" i asked her 

"I am not happy" she replied 

"So why sad?" i asked her smirking

"No i am also not sad- i meant- urgh- never mind- why call?" she asked me 

"I am back in Durban- i expected my PA to be at the air port waiting for me but she was apparently not there" i replied teasing her 

"Oh- i- i was suppose to be there? but there was no message saying so" she muttered and i laughed 

"relax i was teasing you- anyways- the O'neil deal- did you manage an appointment?" i asked her

"uhh sorta- " she replied hastily 

"You forgot, didn't you?" i asked her 

"Sorta?" she said and i chuckled 

"Just make a call now and get it done- oh and can you come over today- with all my pending works- i doubt ammi will let me out today-" i said 

"Uh... is it okay if i email them to you?" she asked me nervously 

"What happened?" i asked her straight forward 

"Zaik and Zahi are home and there is no one to take care of them and seeing the situation now, i can't leave them alone- sorry- I know i said i was very flexible but this time, i- i guess, i slipped- sorry about the meeting and i-" she ranted and i interrupted her 

"Ruqayyah, i don't want to know why you did not do it- i wanna know by when can you do it- and as for the kids, get them over too- i have a nursery and they can stay there while you work" i said 

"No- i don't think thats a good idea- i mean kids at work... not so good-" she muttered

"My mother, my sisters are here to look out for them so leave it! get ready and be here by 12pm- am i clear, Ruqayyah?" i said firmly and she heaved a deep audible sigh 

"Yes" she muttered

"Good, so whats going on?" i asked her as i played with my wallpaper remote, changing themes every now and then 

"Nothing- i need to Iqraam, i will be there by 12, allah hafiz" without waiting for my reply, she hung up 

what was that? 

"It was Ruqayyah?" asked Namaan taking a seat on my bed 

his hair was wet and in all directions making him look like a baboon who had his hair over dried by a blower!

"yeah" i replied sitting up 

"What does she look like?" he asked me curiously 

"I- don't know" i replied and he stared at me as if i was mad 

"What?" i asked him 

"You have not seen her and you are in love with her?" he asked me 

"Yeah.. i guess so- i mean i did not fall for her beauty coz i have not even seen her face...i- i dont know- her eyes got me captived and her words had my mind on replay-" i chuckled and he laughed 

"You are whipped bro! but i am proud! at least one of us found love!" he winked 

"Boys, come out for lunch!!!" yelled ammi and we stood up 

"So we get to meet her any time soon?" asked Namaan as we walked downstairs 

"maybe.." i drawled and ran into the dining hall 

the food was set out and thankfully everyone had changed 

"Ammi, Ruqayyah will be here at around 12- if its okay" i said and she smiled 

"Woah- we get to meet her NOW?" squealed Nafaasat and i nodded

"She has no idea about this whole you people knowing thingi so yah.... i um.. have to tell her" i muttered and they nodded

We ate lunch in peace and then helped ammi put everything back to its place 

the doorbell rang and my siblings raced, yes literally raced to answer it 

Namaan being the tallest, ran faster than the girls and opened the door grinning 

i was seated in the living room with my laptop, studying the new plan for our architecture firm 

i shook my head and went back to work 

ammi and abba were standing infront of the living room door waiting for her 

finally, i heard two voices and i instantly knew it was Zaik and Zahi 

"As swalaam" said little Zahi standing infront of me 

I looked up and grinned at her

"Was salaam, Zahi- how are you?" i asked her as i placed the laptop aside 

"Alhamdulilah, and yoh?" she asked me 

i grinned before getting up and picking her in my arms 

"Same... missed me?" i asked her playfully and she giggled 

"Vweryy" she said and i smiled 

We walked to the hall and saw everyone standing and talking to Ruqayyah there 

thats when i realized how much i missed seeing her these few days 

"Zahi, by any chance, did you slip to me without their notice?" i asked her and she giggled quitely 

'ywes, coz i wanted to seeh yoh!" she said pouting and i smiled 

kissing her cheeks, i cleared my throat 

"I think she should be let inside?" i asked them and they nodded 

"of course- introduction is important!" said ammi smirking and i sighed 

now i think i did something really stupid by telling them about Ruqayyah 

I walked back to the living room and set down with zahi

"Your meeting with Mr. O' Neil tomorrow" said Ruqayyah handing me the files for the meeting

"Oh right- thanks-" I said as I began going through it 

ammi called Ruqayyah with her and left me alone 

like literally alone coz everyone went with her!

I sighed and switched on the TV 

the new season of Human Target was playing so i decided to just watch it 

"I thought you had work" said abba taking a seat beside me 

i chuckled

"This seems better than my file... plus she did not give me the pending work anyway" i said 

he smiled at me 

"Your mom seems to like her alot" he said smiling and i nodded

"I just was not sure... i was afraid of her reaction" i said and he nodded

"I know the feels.... do you want to know why i had to leave your mother?" he asked me and i shook my head

"Its best i don't know" i replied and he chuckled

"When the time is right, then i will definitely tell you!" he said laughing and i nodded

he then stood up and walked away 

Zaik set beside me and Zahi climbed on my lap hugged me tight 

"Can weh watch Spongebob?" she asked me 

i chuckled 

taking the remote, i switched to cartoon network and spongebob began playing 

Zaik cuddled up next to me and Zahi went to the other side 

the three of us began watching it until a loud screech startled us 

i turned to see Namaan and Iqra standing there 

"What?" I asked them 

"No watching spongebob without us!" said Namaan and Iqra nodded

soon Nabaaat, Nafaasat,Namaan and Iqra were all sprawled on the floor, with pillows and snacks 

Iqra looked up to me and grinned

"Come on, Zahi, Zaik, bhaiii" she whined and Zahi and Zaik crawled in between them 

i chuckled before getting up and sitting in between Nafaasat and Zahi 

Zahi leaned onto me as we watched the re run of spongebob square pants, occasionally singing their theme song
