Zoe Nightshade

"Where am I?"
Zoe looked around, scared. She was in a large room. In the middle, stood a large table. A little to the side was a television. Oddly, it was looking at Camp Half Blood.
The table was filled with many people. One was a long bearded man. Another was a boy with brown hair, and a prosthetic leg. Zoe recognized the young boy from Camp Half Blood, Charles Beckendorf, and his girlfriend Silena, who was happily leaning her head against his shoulder. Bianca also sat at the table, her silver sweater shimmering. Bianca smiled at Zoe. They were all casually dealing cards, looking unconcerned that Zoe was in the room.
"I bet lemon drops!" Cried the bearded man, placing down an ace card. "Again? When will you stop, Dumbledore?" Said a young girl, with curly brown hair and dark skin. The man called Dumbledore chuckled. "I'll stop, Rue. When lemon drops stop being amazing." A bunch of laughs accompanied Dumbledore's comment.
Zoe still sat there, confused. Her eyes met with a young girl, with braided brown hair. The girl looked no older than thirteen.
She stood, excused herself from the game, and walked over to Zoe.
Zoe was rather startled in general. The girl smiled warmly. "Hello. You must be new here." The girl said cheerfully. Zoe nodded carefully. "Where am I, exactly?" "Oh." The girl blushed. "Excuse my bad manners. You're in the Heart."
"The what?" Zoe asked, tilting her head. "Shouldn't I be in Elysium?" The girl looked confused now. "I'm not sure where that is, but it seems you made it to the Heart. The Heart is the place where all of us go. We can't be with our loved ones anymore, but we're...how do I say it?" "Home?" Suggested Zoe, feeling uplifted.
"Yes," The girl said, nodding. "Home. We're not alive, but in a way, we are, I guess. We're alive in the Heart of our readers. We always have been. I'm Prim, by the way." "Zoe. Zoe Nightshade."
"Here," said the girl named Prim, smiling again. "I'll introduce you to everybody. We're all very friendly." Zoe followed the girl over to the table, and clapped her hands. The others looked up from their cards. "Hey guys, the new girl is here!" Prim spoke, waving a hand over to Zoe. A barrage of greetings came up.
"I'll introduce you." She pointed to the head of the table. "That's Albus Dumbledore." Next to him, was a boy with freckles, red hair, and a mischievous smile. "That's Fred Weasly. He's a trickster though, so be careful." Zoe laughed a bit. An owl landed on Fred's chair. "That's Hedwig." A couple smiled at Zoe. One had bubblegum pink hair, and she sat next to someone with scars on his face, and a head of brown hair. Next to them, sat a lightly smiling man, dressed in black robes, with shoulder length black hair. "That's Nymphodora Tonks. Call her Tonks. Next is Remus Lupin, and the other guy is Severus Snape."
Prim pointed to the other side of the table, to the boy with the prosthetic leg. "That's Augustus Waters. You can just call him Gus." Next, were Silena, Beckendorf, and Bianca. "You've met them, I assume?" Zoe nodded, smiling at them. One was whom Zoe didn't recognize. He had a scar down his face, and light blond hair. He was smiling though. "That's Luke."
Prim pointed to the girl called Rue. "This is my best friend, Rue." Another strong boy sat next to Rue. "That's Thresh." Prim pulled out a chair, between Bianca and Luke. "Take a seat, Zoe. It'll be fun here." Zoe smiled, sitting down, and already feeling comfortable among these people.
Augustus took the remote from Bianca. "It's my turn now." Snape sighed. "I thought it was our turn to see Hogwarts." Augustus turned his head towards Snape. "No, you saw that before, remember? Plus, I want to see Hazel so badly again."
Augustus pushed a button on the remote. The images on Camp Half Blood changed to a young girl's room. It showed a girl sitting on a bed, reading a book. She had short, pixie style hair, and was wearing a shirt with a pipe on it. She had an oxygen tank next to her. Zoe concluded the television showed your loved ones. Augustus sighed, staring at the image. "That's my girl."
"What are you dealing, Fred?" The boy called Thresh asked. "I would say lemon drops but I would probably anger the whole room."
Laughing filled the area, and Zoe suddenly felt very happy. She'd belong here well. Very well.
