The Prophecy Of Four; Chapter Two
Merida's Pov
Above is her theme song
"Got off me, ye frosty trickster!" Merida yelled to Jack. The white haired boy laughed, flying a bit in the air again. He was a son of Boreas, and he flew in the air just to annoy her. "Whatever, frizzy!" Merida groaned, wanting to ignore him, but man, he was being difficult. Her best friends, Mavis, daughter of Hades, and Clarisse, her
half sister, laughed at the same time.
"Ugh...Guys, I'm going to practice some archery. Clarisse, you in?" "Nah, I'm gonna head to Arts and Crafts with Hephaestus kids." "Mavis?" The dark eyed girl shrugged. "Not really my thing. But I'll see you later, Mer."
Clarisse waved and walked away, and Mavis shadow-traveled. Merida sighed, and looked back up to the floating Jack. "Ah, get a life, Frosty. I'm off." Jack shrugged. "Well, if you're gonna be like that, Frizhead." They both laughed a bit, and Merida chose a bow from the stack. Slowly, she aimed the bow at the target, her eyes narrowed.
Even Jack was quiet. She was about to shoot, when she heard the distinct sound of gears whirring. "Huh?" Merida looked up at the sky, and gasped. "Blondie's back." Jack grinned, looking up at the sky. Merida watched in wonder as the black mechanical dragon landed with a soft clank onto the ground.
The joyful Rapunzel hopped off the dragon, pushing her blonde hair out of the way. Next to her was a scrawny boy, looking no older than fifteen. He had brown, windswept hair, and he gasped as he looked around the camp.
Rapunzel's boyfriend, Eugene, son of Hermes, walked up. "What do you have now, Punzie?" He asked, quickly pecking her cheek. "I suspect a son of Hephaestus. His name is Hiccup." She said casually, watching as Hiccup clumsily climbed down from Toothless. Toothless promptly hugged him.
"I see." Eugene replied, lip twitching in amusement as Hiccup struggled to get the dragon off of him. Merida was filled with curiosity, and went forward. "I'm Merida, daughter of Ares, god of war. You must be Hiccup." Hiccup nodded, finally succeeding and pulling away from Toothless. Jack landed with agility next to Merida. "I'm Jack. Son of Boreas, god of snow. Nice to meet you, Hiccup." "Nice to meet you too." Hiccup was about to say something else, when a fiery hammer suddenly appeared above his head.
"Um," he said awkwardly, looking above him. "Is that supposed to happen?" "Yep." Merida smiled, bowing her head. The others' heads dipped as well. "Hail Hiccup, son of Hephaestus, god of blacksmiths, fire, and the forges."

Merida walked to the armory, Hiccup slowly following while taking in the surroundings at camp. He jumped when a young girl, with brown hair and brown eyes, came trotting by with a Pegasus. "Oh, Hiccup." Merida said, waving to her. "This is Belle, daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom. Hi!" Belle smiled, being friendly. "Hi. Newbie here?" "Yeah." Merida nodded. "Son of Hephaestus." "Cool." Belle nodded to Hiccup. "Well, see you guys at the bonfire tonight."
Merida waved goodbye as Belle flew in the air with her Pegasus, Phillip. Merida opened the door to the armory, Hiccup following closely behind her. Inside, weapons were stacked all over, crammed in the corners, and on top of each other.
A girl stood in the middle, an axe slung over her shoulder. She had dirty blonde hair, which was in a braid behind her, and sharp green eyes. Merida smiled at the sight of her friends, and the girl smiled back. "Hiccup, this is Astrid, daughter of Ares. Astrid, this is Hiccup, son of Hephaestus."
Astrid smirked, and waved, putting down her axe. "Hey, looking for a weapon?" "Uh, I mean um, yes I, er hi." Hiccup flushed a deep scarlet, and Astrid raised an eyebrow. "Well, come over here, and we'll pick out a weapon for you."
Merida smiled, turning to leave. She'd leave the two lovebirds alone.
