Earth Day

Hey guys! I know that neither Grover or Juniper appeared much in HoO, and also not part of The Big Seven, but I love them so much I just wanted to dedicate something to them!

Grover was rather excited today. Earth Day, the best of day of the year! He and Juniper loved it. Not only was it their favorite day, but it's when they had officially started dating.

Grover walked towards the forest. He was wearing a yellow and green recycling t-shirt, along with some blue shorts over his furry goat legs. He was going to meet up with Juniper to bring her on a date by the river.

Grover ran into Percy on the way there. He and Annabeth were walking together. "Hi Grover!" Annabeth said cheerfully. Percy waved, and capped Riptide. "Hey dude. We were gonna play volleyball. Big tournament with Clarisse. You coming? By the way, where are all the satyrs? I haven't seen any of your bros all day."

Grover shook his head. "Sorry, can't go. Bringing Juniper on a date. And also, of course all of the satyrs are gone! Don't you know what day it is?" Annabeth raised an eyebrow. "It's just Earth Day, right?" "Just Earth Day?" Grover yelped.

Annabeth sucked in a breath, while Percy looked confused. "I forgot. All of you guys get together and celebrate it, right?" Grover nodded. "The one day a year everybody appreciates nature. And free enchiladas! Also, it's me and Juniper's anniversary."

Percy clapped Grover on the back. "Congratulations bro! Have fun, Annabeth and I are gonna kick Clarisse's butt." They promptly high fived, and Grover waved goodbye. He continued on his way through he forest, until he came up to Juniper's bush. He smiled when he saw her.

She was wearing a shirt with a heart shaped Earth, and a long blue skirt. She had some purple flowers in her red hair, and had a hand bag slung over her shoulder, saying Save Planet Earth.

Juniper saw him, and smiled. "Hi Grover!" She tackle hugged him, and Grover laughed. "Hey, Juniper. What's up?" Juniper's eyes lit up. "There's a party we're having in the forest, celebrating Earth Day! Any there's free enchiladas!" "Sign me up!" Juniper laughed, and we headed for the party.

The music got louder, and they came upon it. Posters and signs were all over the place, saying to Save The Planet and Love Our Home!

Satyrs and nymphs danced about, while others cleaned up litter. There was a table where some were creating new things to reuse out of trash, and others planted bushes. A table was set up, with vegetables, meat free enchiladas, and other good foods.

Grover was a little hesitant to go in. He wasn't very good at parties. But Juniper looked so happy, he smiled and followed her to the action.

Grover did have a lot of fun, though some of it was a bit over whelming. The party was very long, and he had never eaten so many enchiladas. The sun was starting to set a bit.

Grover walked through the crowd, having lost Juniper. He heard a voice. "Grover, where are you?"

Grover walked to it, and saw Juniper. She was hugging herself, looking a little sad. "What's the matter?" Grover asked, concerned. They were standing a little outside the party.

"I'm a little partied out, Grover. I want to just spend some time with each other. Just the two of us." Grover smiled. "I know the exact place."

Grover had Juniper follow him to the river. He sat at the edge, dipping his hoofs into the gently flowing water of the stream. He gestured for Juniper to come sit next to him.

She sat next to him, dipping her bare feet into the water. Juniper sighed happily, swirling her feet in the water. She liked the water. It made her refreshed, as she had told Grover.

The sun had fallen, meaning Apollo was done, and Artemis's turn had come to control he moon. It made the sky a deep blue, silver specks scattering the horizon. It painted a beautiful image, a sky of beautiful stars. Juniper had told Grover once, whenever an artist dies, Artemis lets him paint the sky before he goes to the underworld. That's why there are so many constellations.

Juniper sighed, leaning on Grover's shoulder. Grover held her hand, and Juniper sighed. "Happy anniversary, Grover." Grover smiled. "Happy anniversary, Juniper."
