When her mother had fallen asleep, Jack have flew up to the tower again and sit himself in her room, studying with her.
"Elephant?" Jack ask, a smile on his face as he remember when he first mentioned the elephant.
Rapunzel quickly point to a picture and Jack nod.
"Yeah. Snake?" She point to another.
"Great." Jack say, eyeing he girl next to him on the floor.
"How come you didn't know this?"
Rapunzel sigh and twist her fingers.
"Well, my mom never let me go out." She whispered, not to wake her mother.
"Mm...you wanna go out now? I can carry you." Jack smile and the girl smile broad.
"You can do that?" She ask, now forgotten to whisper.
"Yeah sure, come on. What do you want to do?"
She look at Jack.
"Well...If it's not to much to ask..." She begun, hesitating. "I would have loved to see the lights."
"Lights?" Jack ask, confused.
"Every year on my birthday the kingdom let up flying lanterns to the sky...I have only seen in through the window..."
"They are beautiful..." Jack say , smiling. "You'll see."
She smile at him, her eyes lit up.
"You will take me to see them?"
"Yes of course."
She tug at his hand and drag him to the window.
"It is tonight." She say.
"Oh... Ok. Come here."
Jack put one hand under her neck and one under her knees, lifting her up.
"Can you buy me something from the kingdom first? You get money from me of course."
She smile and nod.
"Sure."

"Jack, what is this?" She ask and hold up a box, something I made her buy.
"It is a surprise." He smile and begun to paddle out in the boat. She smile and put it down.
"You know, I had a really great time study with you."
Jack smile and put the oars in the boat, as they were in the middle of the lake.
"Me to."
She smile and look at Jack, as he open his pocket and take out a handful of flowers.
"Can I braid you?" He ask shyly. She laugh and turn around in the boat.
"Of course."
When Jack was done, the braid were even more beautiful that in the movie.
Rapunzel look at it and smile.
"Beautiful." She say and give him a smile.
He smile back before pointing at the sky.
"There is the first."
Her eyes snapped open and she run to the front of the boat, clinging to it.
"Beautiful isn't it?" She didn't heard him as she looked at the lights.
After 18 years in a tower, this was amazing.
"Rapunzel."
She turn around to see Jack holding 2 lanterns, smiling.
She quickly sat down.
"You made me buy these?"
He keep smiling and she give him a hug, carefully , so he doesn't drop the lanterns.
"Amazing." She took one, and they released it at the same time.
She looked after them a long time, before Jack careful take her hand, holding it gently. She chocked turn to face him, but quickly smiling...they turn to each other and they begun to sing. Jack holding Rapunzel's hands.
When they have sung, Jack slowly, oh so slowly reached forward and cup Rapunzel's face in his hands, slowly leaning forward. Rapunzel did to, and they lips met.
Jack slowly open his mouth and Rapunzel did to, letting Jack's tongue in. The kiss last for a few seconds, and when they pull away, both grinning madly.
"I...really like you Jack..." Rapunzel say, so quiet Jack wouldn't have heard her, but he did.
He smile and reach to give her a hug, which she melted in.
