Before he could swing downwards a large wave of flames covered them all.....when the flames disappears 25% of mages in the area were destroyed while some of vali's group had minor injuries

The rest of the khaos brigade saw where the hammer came from and took a step back a bit ......Shadow looked behind him to see marcus with the other generals but what cause vali's group to back up was the army of 5,000 standing behind marcus (which was around 5% of the full army)
