Special Chapter *Worth It

Hi! I missed writing about Drake and Sophia, so I finally decided to post a special chapter! =) I hope you'll like it! Photo from Alyssa. The song is Every Time We Touch (slow version) by Cascada. I don't know if you remember, but last 2011 I told you I'll write a one shot about this song.

"Get in."

"I don't want to."

Drake sighs. "Stop being stubborn."

"Stop making plans without me!" I say, crossing my arms over my chest.

"I like surprising you," he says, "and you love surprises."

He got me there. "Still."

"Pie."

"Draky."

"Pie."

"Draky."

This takes me back to the time when I didn't want him calling me Pie in front of other people, now it's alright. It gives me a blissful feeling.

"Pie." Draky puts his hands on my shoulder and says, "Would you rather I carry you?"

"You wouldn't dare!" I back away from him.

He grins mischievously, his blue eyes glinting in delight. "I can always catch you."

I know, but it doesn't mean I'm not going to try. Before I can take a step away, he grabs my hand and puts his arms around me; locking me in an embrace.

"Drake."

He burrows his face on the crook of my neck.

"Draky."

"Hmm?" His lips make its way on my jaw, and then to my cheek. My breathing becomes abnormal as he repeats the process.

"Drake, I have an exam tomorrow," I murmur, "I need to study."

"You're always studying," he complains. His left hand rests on my waist, while the other is roaming my body.

I close my eyes.

My knees are wobbling, if he's not holding me, I would have slipped.

I gasp when his hands get down on my hips.

I open my eyes and see that some of the girls living in my dorm building are watching us.

"Drake," I murmur, "Stop. People are staring at us."

He pulls away lightly and looks behind me. "Do you want to give them a show?"

I hit his arm. Even though we're already together, he never stops teasing me.

He laughs. I'll never get tired of its sound. "We can stay here if you don't want to go with me. People are already watching us, might as well give them a good show."

Taking a deep breath, I walk around him and get in his car. He parked it in front of my dorm building, which is illegal. I shake my head. One of these days, he will be banned from coming here.

Drake follows soon after, and off we go.

"It will be your fault if I failed-"

"You won't," he says confidently. "You're too smart to fail."

"What about you?" I ask, "Don't you have an exam?"

"Already studied for it."

I look straight ahead and try not to grin like Joker. I'm glad that Drake is taking college seriously. He didn't become a nerd or anything, but now he's making time and exerting effort when it comes to studying.

Proud girlfriend here.

Like before, I still tutor him. During the times when we study together, I remember our high school days where everything started. I know it was just a bet, yet who would have thought-

"Why are you smiling?"

"Huh?"

I turn to Drake and catch him looking at me.

"Watch the road!"

He grins, but still turns his face in front of him. "Remember when we went to a paint shop back in high school?" he says, "We were bickering back and forth."

"I was just thinking about that," I say amusedly. "That was the time when you kept on asking me about my birthday. You could just have asked Aunt Veronica."

"Andre and I didn't think of that," he says sheepishly. "We're too focused on getting the answer, we chose the complicated way."

He already told me how he found out my birthday; he sneaked in the principal's office with Andre. He could have been expelled, but he still did it.

Just to surprise me on my birthday.

I move closer to Drake and pinch his cheeks.

He loses control of the steering wheel, and before I can scream, the car goes straight out of the road, and on to the abyss.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

KIDDING! Hahaha!

I just wanted to play a trick once again XD

Read Colliding with Fate (The Bet, Spin-off [book 2]) if you want to know what happened to Drake, Sophia, and the other characters of The Bet twenty or so years later <3 Yes, they're still alive! ;)

Listen to the song! It's a must!

Here's what really happened:

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"Pie!" he glances at me and frowns. "What was that for?"

"You're so cute," I say, grinning.

"Are you kidding?"

I blink.

"I'm too handsome to be called cute."

I roll my eyes. "Here's another episode of The Conceited Drake 101."

"What is that?" he asks, his lips twitching into a smile.

"Just something I came up," I say, leaning my head on his shoulder.

This feels good. I'm glad he's not running out of ways to surprise me. I missed this; driving out of town with him.

I don't know where we're going. As far as I can see, there are just tall trees on either side of the road. And for the last fifteen minutes of entering this highway, I've never seen a car passed by.

It doesn't matter. Being with him gives me peace.

Sometimes, when it's our exam week, I choose not to study together because Drake is such a distraction. Instead of focusing on our lessons he-

"Ow!"

The car suddenly jerks off to the right, making me slam on the door.

Drake quickly unbuckles his seatbelt and turns to me. "Are you alright?"

I nod, too shocked to speak.

He takes my face with his hands and says, "I'm sorry." He closes his eyes and leans his forehead to mine.

"I'm fine," I say softly.

He still looks worried so I stretch my arms in front of me to make sure I don't have a bone fracture. After, I move my head from side to side. I'm not a nurse, but I'm sure I'm alright.

I put my hand on his cheek and ask, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah."

"What happened?" I ask. The car's in the middle of the road, blocking it from other vehicles. But right now, it's only us.

Drake lets go of me, and starts the car again.

After switching the engine, it only produces an awful sound.

A frown creases his forehead. "It was full tank," he whispers. He puts the key back in the ignition, but it doesn't want to start.

"We're in the middle of nowhere!"

He scratches the back of his neck. "On cue, the monsters will get out of the forest."

I sigh and fish my phone out of my pocket. I decide to call for backup, but my phone doesn't have a signal. "It doesn't want to connect," I complain.

"This is not a horror story," he mutters.

I shake my head. "This is not the time to joke around."

Drake opens his side of the door and gets out.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"Will check the tires if they're flat."

"But you don't have an extra. . ."

Drake bites his lower lip. I want to picture this moment right now; it's not every day when his plans backfires. He looks like a child.

And here I am, staring at him, wondering why of all people, he chose to love me. God, I'm so lucky.

"Why are you smiling?" he asks, cocking his eyebrow.

I shake my head. "Nothing."

He walks in front of the car, and checks it.

To my surprise, he starts kicking his tire.

Without thinking twice, I slide out of my car and go to him.

"Hey."

Drake puts his hand over his eyes.

"Draky." I put my hands on his shoulder.

He sighs. "I'm sorry," he says, looking dejected. "This was supposed to be a special day."

I squeeze his hand. "It's okay."

"It's not."

"I'm with you," I tell him, "and it's all that matters."

His eyes light up. "When did you become so cheesy?"

I cross my arms over my chest. Now, he ruined it.

Drake pokes my forehead.

I frown at him. Now, he's hurting me.

Drake grins and puts his arm around my shoulder. "You know I'm just kidding."

"Can't tell," I mutter.

"Today is special because I'm with you." He stands in front of me, his hands on my waist. "I'm willing to be stuck anywhere as long as you're with me."

This is the safest place on earth- Drake's arms.

"Where are we supposed to go?" I ask curiously.

"I found this beach at the end of the interstate," he says. "It was hidden, like a paradise."

"And what are you planning to do there?" I ask, raising my eyebrow.

"Picnic at the beach?"

"That is cliché."

He shrugs, but I can see that he's fighting off a smile. "I like doing cliché things with you."

"We don't have food."

He flips his hair away from his eyes. "You know I won't come unprepared."

"So you expected that I will come with you?"

"I know you can't resist me."

I smile wryly. "Always a boy scout."

"Always."

"What are we going to do now?" I ask, turning in circles to study our surroundings.

There are tall trees on either side of the road, blocking the sunlight. I suddenly remember Drake's secret haven. Unfortunately, I can't suggest that we check this place, because we don't even know it. What if there are wild animals lurking at the edge of the forest?

The thought makes me shudder.

"Pie, I'm here," Draky says, as if reading my thoughts. "You don't have to be afraid." He embraces me from behind. "We have plenty of things to do while waiting for the backup."

Drake nuzzles my neck, making me tickle. "Hey, not there!"

He chuckles, and ignores my protest. "I left a message on Andre's phone. Right now, t's just the two of us."

I turn around and before I can say something, he puts his lips over mine.

My hands, as if they have a mind of their own, go to Drake's. His hair is soft like a child's. The muscles in his body are defined. I can feel his hard chest beneath his shirt.

I didn't know what I was doing until I pull off his shirt over his head.

I pause, staring at him. It's not even my first time to see him shirtless, but I'm. . . I mean, I want to. . .

God, my thoughts are jumbled, I can't think straight.

Drake gets my attention back by biting my lower lip.

That's it.

I let my instinct take over.

Drake pushes me back on the hood of his car; I'm amazed how he can do it without breaking the kiss.

When we pause to breathe, he keeps on whispering my name.

I let my hand roam over his body, memorizing every part of him; drinking him, touching him, kissing him.

I've never known until now that kissing can be this good: this awesome, great feeling, a wonderful satisfaction.

Maybe when we kissed before he didn't want to push too hard.

This, right here, is amazing.

I want to do this every day kissing with him.

Drake trails his finger on the edge of my shirt. His hand on my stomach sends me thousand different feelings, as if I'm hot and cold at the same time. It's an entirely different sensation.

I mean, we've never done this much before.

We're alone for the first time in a long time. For the last couple of weeks, it has always been group dates. If not with Andre and Driana, it's with our other friends.

Drake continues to lift my shirt, while I pull him closer to me.

He squeezes me.

I gasp.

This is. . .

Too much.

Drake must have felt my hesitation because he pulls away. "Okay?"

I nod. "Just. . ."

He smiles. "I understand."

"Thank you," I say gratefully, arranging my tangled shirt and disarray hair.

He caresses my face, touching it like it's a delicate figurine.

"I won't break," I whisper.

"I lose control when I'm with you."

My heart is still beating furiously in my chest.

"I'm not rushing you or anything," he whispers, staring directly in my eyes. Once again, I'm amazed how he can gaze intently at me. "I am willing to wait." Drake kisses my forehead and says, "You are worth it."
