6 - francisco vasquez de coronado

⚠ i'm just going to annoy the hell out of y'all with this informational text i had to do. 😉enjoy. ⚠

___

Francisco Vasquez De Coronado was a explorer from Spain. Francisco was born during 1510 in Salamanca, Spain. He became a explorer to gain money. Spain sponsored the expeditions. They did this because back then people gained money from the land they owned. The viceroy of Mexico sailed with Francisco to Mexico, but did not continue on the trip to the Seven Cities of Cibola. Coronado's wife (Beatriz de Estrada) and viceroy of Mexico contributes money for the trip. On the trip to the Seven Cities of Cibola Francisco brought more than 1,000 soldiars and indians along. Francisco Vasquez De Coronado died on September 22, 1554 at the age of 44. Coronado was buried in the Santo Domingo Church in Mexico City.

Did you know that Francisco was the first European to set foot in the Southwestern U.S. and the Grand Canyon? Francisco Coronado was looking for gold during the expidition of traveling to the Golden Cities of Cibola. Coronado had explored the Southwest of U.S. in 1540-1542. The land explored had a lot of hills. Many tribes of indians occupied the land before Francisco's group came. The indians living there before he came were very peaceful.

Francisco Vasquez De Coronado had eight children! Francisco was the first european to set foot in southwestern America. When Coronado came back from his trip he got an indian strangled because of giving false information on the golden cities. One of Francisco's groups made a major discovery when finding the Grand Canyon.

I do not think that the act of the United States Congress giving Francisco Vasquez De Coronado a national holiday is justified. Francisco killed tons of indians for absolutely no reason. He made war with many towns while trying to claim the towns. Coronado sometimes raided and took everything is some towns. Francisco was a coward. He never did anything by himself and his group would always do it for him. I don't think Francisco should get a national holiday.

okay, that's actually the last one for right now

i just wanted to annoy you guys with an informational one

and yes, the "is" at the end was completely on purpose. somehow i can still make those mistakes while writing with a pencil

that last paragraph was to answer a question. obviously it was something along the lines of "Do you think the United States Congress giving your explorer a national holiday is justified?" or something like that

i actually got one of the hardest explorers. the teachers gave us papers beforehand that had information on them about the explorer, and while everyone else got around three, the two other people that got Francisco and i only got one paper :(
