Chapter Twenty-One

"T-Troye?" Caspar whispered to himself, shaking his head in disbelief. Everybody's eyes were locked on him, watching his every movement, waiting for him to break down.

Joe decided to speak up, "Well, it might not have been his fault. Like for example, the hacker did say they went into his house. Let's not jump into conclusions."

Katie nodded, "Yeah, I agree. Call him." She said. Caspar took out his phone, and put it on speaker as he called Troye. It rang for a few seconds, before Troye picked up.

"Hello?" His voice sounded raspy and broken, and it seemed to pass straight through Caspar that they had literally just broken up.

"Hi." Caspar breathed out. "I'm sorry for calling you, but did you have anything to do with the hacking? Because the hacker is saying it's you. Well, that you are the 'information person' anyways."

Troye scoffed. "What so you believe someone who is making your life hell? And no, I didn't. I don't know what you are talking about."

That seemed to be enough for Caspar. "Okay, thanks. Sorry for bothering you and...everything else." You could hear Troye take a deep breath, and then the call ended. The tone ending made Caspar flinch like someone had just thrown a punch, it felt like it too. It was then he realised how messed up all of this was.

"How do you know he's not lying?" Oli asked.

"I know when he's lying and he isn't. He wasn't lying." Caspar replied.

He remembered a time when Troye did lie to him, he stole Caspar's homework and had pretended that it was his to the teacher. Caspar never knew who did it, and Troye said he didn't know either. Once Caspar found out, he was mad. But he was also quite glad, because he found out too that when Troye lies, his voice goes quite high pitched. Troye can't help it.

But this time, on the phone call, his voice was completely normal.

They all stopped. "What happens now?" Katie questioned, leaning back on her chair. Joe shrugged, biting his lip slightly.

"We could do that again? We could find out another person. It worked once, so why wouldn't it work again?" Joe piped up. Oli hummed in agreement.

"It's worth a shot."

So they did, and they said that they knew who the messer was. And weirdly enough, the hacker didn't reply straight away like they always did. It took half an hour for them to reply, so in the mean while they all sat around and waited.

"Look," Oli said out of the blue, as he put down his phone. "A reply!" Sure enough, there was.

"I'll read it out." Joe told them, and began to read. "Time has passed by, people will too, but has it occurred that I could be the person right in front of you?"

They all stared at the computer in confusion. "A riddle?" Caspar guessed. "What?"

"I think we have to-oh my god." Oli whispered. Katie looked at him.

"What is it?" She asked, placing her hand on his. He pointed to the computer and she gasped. "She replied again. Oh my god. They can't- no."

Dear Joseph Sugg,

I am deeply sorry for what I did. I regret it all. I'm really so sorry. Meet me at the park on Saturday at 6PM, don't be late, don't be early. I will reveal who I am and try and fix all of this.
Joe and Caspar only.

From, Me.

"It could be a trick!" Oli said. "This is part of their plan." He was waving his hands around violently in attempt to make everybody understand. Joe hummed.

"I don't know," he admitted. "Maybe they are actually sorry?" Katie rolled her eyes.

"Well, whatever happens, I'm really to beat someone's ass." Katie muttered to herself, leaning back on her chair.
