What is This?
(S/N)'s P.O.V.
From a tree, I watched all of the night's occurrences. I saw the attacks. It was simply brilliant. I knew that Sir Ganzon would be pleased with the results of my task. I watched as I saw my sister ran out of the castle with an emotion unknown to me. I started to wonder what had happened after the attack to make her be like this.
(Y/N) continued to run and I kept my gaze on her. She had finally stopped a good distance away from the castle. I decided to go see what was wrong with her. I used my powers to disguise myself as a little girl. Though I couldn't really change the color of my hair or eyes, I knew she wouldn't notice it was me, her sister.
(Y/N) sat down under a tree, still showing an emotion unknown to me. I tried as best as I could to speak without an emotionless tone trying to remove whatever demonic tone I had as well.
"Excuse me, miss?" I asked with a childish voice.
(Y/N) brought her (e/c) eyes to look at me. There was something wet in them.
"What's wrong?" I asked simply.
She took a breath as I saw her force a smile onto her face.

I spoke as politely as I could, "I don't think some as young as yourself would understand."
I patted the little girl's head softly. I felt completely out of state right now. I was too depressed to think. I felt betrayed and worthless.
The girl walked closer to me and sat down, "I'm willing to listen, even if I may not be able to understand."
I shrugged and laughed.
"To think I'd be talking to a little girl about my problems. Alright then," I gave into the girl's gaze and spoke.
"Let's just say something happened tonight that...I didn't expect. Those who I thought were my friends betrayed me just like that. I saw them, but they didn't care. They didn't want to take back any words they had said," I spoke as tears started pouring down some more as I remembered the frustration.
The girl continued to listen carefully and I continued.
"It hurts, you know? To be stabbed in the back when you caught the blade but couldn't stop it. It hurts to feel belittled by everyone you thought was loyal to you."
I cried even more and without knowing it, grabbed the girl into my arms and hugged her tightly.

My red eyes widened by the unexpected action that came from (Y/N). At that moment, I felt something in my eyes.
"What is this feeling?"
"I'm sorry," my sister said as she held me tighter, "For an absolute stranger to be hugging you like this."
"No, miss; it's fine," I said unexpectedly.
Her embrace got tighter and I felt myself return the hug as tears started to fill my eyes and fall.
"What is this feeling?" I asked myself again.
"Aw, look," (Y/N) said while wiping her tears and mine as well, "I've made you cry as well."
I remained silent. Why was I crying in the first place? I don't know what I was feeling. There was something in that warm embrace that called to me. I continued to hug her back until I realized what I felt; it was longing. I was longing to be back in my sister's presence. Not my demonic self, but my human self. I wanted to be her older sister again, not the demon who was trying to use her. I wanted the family to be whole again. I needed to use her. When we finally had her on our side, the others would be free, and then we would be whole again. Right?
I let go of my younger sister.
"I must go, miss. I hope you're conflict will be fixed soon," I said.
She looked up at me and smiled a genuine smile, "Thanks for being there for me. Even if we didn't know each other."
I felt the muscles near my lips move. It was something I haven't felt in a long while. I returned the smile, "No problem, miss," I said as I walked away.
As soon as I left her sight, I vanished back to Achlys Valley. I was disappointed really. Knowing I'd lose any emotions I gained this night once I entered.

I mumbled to myself, "I guess I better find a place to stay."
I took Onyx from the stables after sneaking my way into the castle to take (sw/n) from my room along with the red jewel. I rode off into the darkness of the night into Termina Field.
I rode until I got to Kakariko Village. The town was pretty quiet, but I found a room to stay at in a place called Elde Inn. I knew that in a place so far from Hyrule, people wouldn't know who I was. I know it was cowardly to escape my humiliation, but what else could I do at the moment?
Ganzon's P.O.V.
"The task has been completed, my liege," I heard (S/N) say.
"Very well done," I praised her, "I heard it was a very good show."
"Indeed it was, sir," she said as she stood in the middle of the throne room.
I looked at her and used my powers to throw her against one of the support structures.
My voice rising, "Why'd you go up to her?"
She simply stood up with that emotionless expression of hers, "I'm sorry, my liege."
I scoffed at her, "It's not time for that yet, and besides, I'm sure any emotion you gained tonight has left your system already, correct?"
She simply nodded.
"Tsk, tsk, (S/N). You know better than that," I said in a disappointed tone, "You know that if you want to keep any emotions learned, it has to be here, in Achlys Valley. I'll let this pass once."
"I understand, sir. I promise it won't happen again."
"Good," I said affirmatively, "Now leave."
I watched the dark-silver haired girl leave.
"Almost ruining my plans. Stupid girl."
Link's P.O.V.
I had woken up early this morning, hoping to find my missing trainer. I rode on Epona and made my way into the arena. I left Epona to graze on the grass.
"(Y/N)!" I yelled, "I'm here for training!"
I had hoped to hear her irritated voice respond with 'you don't have to train anymore, remember, idiot?'. The response never came. After she left last night, it took my slow brain to realize that she was completely broken.
"What is this, Link? You're not supposed to be worried for someone like that."
I was mentally being scolded, but I continued to search for her. I rounded the corner when I saw a little man with blonde hair and huge buck teeth, feeding the cuckoos and pigs. I recalled Gonzo talking about someone like him.
I cleared my throat, "Excuse me, sir, but are you Niko?"
He looked up from feeding the animals, "That's me," he said happily, "How may I help you?"
"Well, I was wondering if you have seen my trainer, (Y/N), around," I said while scratching my head.
His smile immediately faded into a frown, "Unfortunately, no. I haven't seen that poor girl since last night. Did you hear what people were saying about her?"
I nodded 'no' in response. I was so caught up in looking for (Y/N) that I didn't hear what the people were saying.
"Well," he said, "We better sit down for this," he said while motioning for me to sit on a hay bale just off in the distance.
We made our way to the hay bale and we sat down.
"Those trainers who claimed to be her friends were basically stabbing her in the back. They said things like, 'She doesn't deserve the title as Best Knight after tonight. I think that her trainee should get it. He seemed to have more skill than she did'," Niko sighed, "It was pissing me off, honestly. Right now, you're probably wondering why losing that title may seem so important to her right now, aren't you?"
I simply nodded. I remember her telling me it didn't mean much when I first met her.
"You see," Niko started, "When (Y/N) first came here, she was a wreck. Her family was killed during a battle and she had no one. So when she was offered to stay here at the castle, (Y/N) had offered to fight for the kingdom. The title she earned was her way of feeling worthy. It was something to stop her from feeling worthless for not being able to protect her family. That's why the title was so important to her."
Niko sighed, "But I guess everyone forgot about that little fact last night and now they're thinking of replacing her."
I looked straight ahead taking in all this new information. It's no wonder she was always so cold. She lost something that was important to her. My whole view of (Y/N) suddenly changed.
"You know," Niko said, "I don't even know why I told you this stuff," Niko shrugged, "I just have this feeling that I can trust you."
I stood up, "And you are right about that."
"Do you know where she might be? I'm going to find her," I said with determination.
"Knowing her, she'd probably go somewhere really far from here."
I walked away, "Thanks, Niko."
He nodded as I rode Epona to go find my missing trainer.
