Summary: For 99 years, humanity has been almost imprisoned behind forcefields that protect them from their deadly foe, the Ruins. Only the Observers dare to venture out to where the mutants exist only to infect! What will change as 16 year Kyler joins the squad?

Review :  The world was really cool and built very well. I felt connected to every character, and there were many times when my heart was pounding like crazy with the suspense. It has a great plot with plenty of adventure.

I loved the characters so much! Each of them was so developed and fascinating to read! The main character is very mysterious and unreliable, which I find unusual and appealing.  As the author says: 

       'Everyone has a secret. Whether it be a tragic past or a hopeless future or an innate ability, everyone conceals something. Even Kyler. And his secret may be the most dangerous of them all.'

The author mentioned that this book was inspired by Attack on Titan, but that said, it wasn't too similar to it in my view. There might be a slight similarity to Percy Jackson books, as a squad of teenagers fight to survive in this harsh environment but on the whole I can't compare it to another story I know.
