Chapter 1
Noah Meyer was trying to have the time of his life. He was on a cruise through the Atlantic. Home of the Bermuda Triangle. Noah never believed this kind of stuff. He believed it was all fake. A cover-up for the government. But none of that mattered right now. He was on vacation, a time to finally relax.
He considered going into the pool, but decided that there were too many children in there. In the end, he decided to just sit and relax. He picked up his book and opened it. Just as he started to read, a seven-year-old boy ran into him and knocked his book into the pool.
"Are you kidding me?" he snapped. "Watch where you're going!"
"Sorry sir," the child said before taking off again.
Grumbling, Noah fished his book out of the pool. He carried the dripping book to the table as a waitress approached him. "Can I get you anything, sir?" she asked him in a sweet voice.
"Yes, a glass of lemonade please, ma'am."
"Of course. Coming right up, sir."
As Noah waited for the waitress to come back, he stared at the book and frowned. Why did everything always happen to him? He forced a smile as the waitress returned with his drink.

Autumn Talvi smiled as she handed Noah his glass. She was a waitress on the ship. Honestly, this was probably the closest thing to a vacation that she's ever had. "Is there anything else I can do for you?" she asked cheerfully.
"No thank you," he replied.
"Very well. If you change your mind, just call." With that, she turned on her heel and walked away.
Taking a seat, she looked around. Everybody seemed so happy. She looked out over the ocean. The waves were extremely calm today, it was almost scary. Something was going to go wrong, she just knew it. But what? And when?

Jessica Noir was swimming. It's been her favorite thing to do since she was seven. She pushed her wet, red hair out of her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she dove deep into the water. Her feet touched the bottom of the pool, and she grinned.
Her lungs began to burn, so she started to ascend. She broke the surface and took a huge gulp of air. Jessica took one last breath and dove back under. She loved the feel of the cold blue water against the contrast of the hot summer sun.
She was heading for the surface again when she heard a scream. Kicking her long, tan legs as hard as she could, she broke the surface two seconds later. She pushed her long, red hair out of her eyes and looked around frantically. She saw a little boy, about six, who had swam too far out. His head went under, and he didn't come back up.
Jessica quickly started for the boy. Who was on lifeguard duty? She reached the spot where the boy was last seen and dove under. About halfway to the bottom of the pool, she finally saw him. His eyes were closed, and bubbles were streaming from his mouth. She grabbed the boy, and swam for the surface, gasping for air as she brought the boy to the edge of the pool. He wasn't breathing.
Jessica scrambled out of the pool. She put her hands to the boy's chest and pushed. One. Two. Three. Four. Five times before he started coughing up water. Jessica let out the breath she hadn't realized she was holding.
The boy's brown eyes flew open. He sat up and looked around, dazed. "W-what happened?" he asked in between coughs.

Dimitri Makarov was in his room. He found that it's the quietest place. He was on his phone, scrolling through his email. A notification popped up about the Bermuda Triangle. Seriously? he thought. They think I'll believe that hoax?
He opened it anyway and read the article. "The Bermuda Triangle is a place of legend in the Atlantic Ocean where planes and ships are said to mysteriously disappear. However, due to recent studies, we can confirm that it's nothing but a myth. But some people choose to believe otherwise. Some say..."
Bored, Dimitri closed the page. He glanced at the battery life, and decided that he'd go explore the ship a bit. But just as he opened the door, there was an ear-splitting CRACK! The floor gave way beneath his feet, and the world went black.
