The Day Of Planning
(AN: I know what's happening next chapter!, but right now, enjoy this chapter!)
"Shouldn't they be red? Because you know, red is the colour of YouTube, and YouTube brought us together so..."
"I like the blue ones though."
"What about the flowers?"
"Well when we were looking at them I liked the yellow ones, but now I'm starting to have second thoughts."
"The blue ones were cool. They'll match the beach."
"So we do the blue flowers, and the blue-"
"Didn't you want the red ones though?"
"Well if we're getting blue flowers, we may as well get the blue ones."
They had been talking like this all say. Debating back and forth, colour schemes, flowers, everything!
Felix hadn't known how hard planning a wedding actually was until you tried it.
But they were getting stuff done quicker everyday, and they would probably be done my tomorrow at this rate.
"So we just need to contact the planner?"
"Yes, and that should be almost it."
"Ugh thank the lord."
"Yeah, that was hard."
Collapsing on the couch, Felix closed his eyes. He and Mark had stayed up all night planning. And they had set the date for August 12th, the halfway point between their birthdays.
Mark laid down next to him on the couch.
"You excited?"
"I've never been more excited about anything in my life."
Silence once again filled the room.
"Mark,"
"Yeah?"
"You did the invitations right?"
Mark sat up and stared at Felix,
"You said that you were going to do them."
"Remember how we did the deal and while I went and looked at the flowers, you would do the invites."
"So where are they now?" Mark said with wide eyes.
"Still sitting in the box in my office. I'll go get them and we can do them together."
Felix got p and ran to his office, while Mark searched in the kitchen drawer for a pen.
"Mark?" Felix walked out of the office, with a look on his face.
"What's up?"
"We just lost our planner."
"What?!"
"I know I just looked on the message bank and she said that she couldn't do it." Felix covered his eyes, "Everything is turning to shit!"
Mark walked up to Felix and pulled him close.
"Shhhhh Felix, it's okay. We're gonna get this done. Together. And then, in 44 days we are going to get married, no matter what."
"Really?"
"Really."
"C'mon, let's get these invitations done."
"Okay."
Mark still remembers that night, even when he's at his wedding. He remembers how they sat on the couch for two hours and laughed about how the planner had a habit of saying "yesh?" All the time. He remembers Felix being so tired, that in the morning when they had to sort out the folder that the planner gave them, he fell asleep halfway through. Mark remembers how he carried Felix to bed, giving him a kiss on the cheek. But he also remembers last night. Their last night together as being engaged. 1am, and Felix looked at Mark right in the eye, and kissed him.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
But even now, the most memorable night to him, is when they got engaged.
"Yes."
I turn around and look at Felix standing in front of me.
"Yes, Mark, of course I will marry you."
He's almost crying now. I smile and engulf him in my arms.
Yes.
He said yes.
And that's all I ever wanted.
He really can't wait to get married.
Just to be able to hold Felix in his arms and know the Felix was his.
No one else's.
Just his.
Knowing that they would wake up everyday and Felix would be lying next to him.
Magical.
Oh what a dream it was.
But this dream was just about to come true.
All of this crazy, amazing, loveable mess that he had been through with Felix was about to be with him forever.
He was nervous.
Really nervous.
But he was also excited,
Really excited.
But the feeling that he felt the most?
It wasn't sadness, surprise, anger, scared, shocked or worried.
No.
The one feeling that ruled over them all,
Was happiness.
