Dean and Bayley drove together to school that Monday morning.

"So what did Seth want last night?" Dean asked.

"I'll tell you about it later." Bayley said. Dean looked at her with curiosity as they pulled into school.

Bayley and Dean got out of the car right when Finn pulled in with Sasha and Becky.

"Who is this?" Bayley asked.

"This is Becky." Finn said. "Becky this is Bayley and Dean."

"Oh, this is Bayley!" Becky gave her a hug. Sasha seemed offended. "Are you two together?"

"No!" Everyone said at the same time.

"Sorry I asked." Becky joked.

"I didn't know she was coming so early?" Bayley asked.

"She surprised me at Joe's last night." Finn said.

"Hey Becky." Roman approached the crowd.

"So this is the gang?" Becky asked.

"And Seth, he should be here any minute." Roman said.

"Your not going to punch him again are you?" Finn joked.

"Depends." Dean said seriously as he looked at Bayley.

The gang didn't meet back up until lunch.

"No one has seen Seth today?" Bayley asked.

"Haven't seen him since yesterday." Roman said. Dean watched Bayley for a moment.

"How was your first day Becky?" Sasha asked.

"It was good. Lot of pretty girls." Becky joked.

"Carmella!" Dean called her over as she walked by.

"Did you want to apologize for the other night?" Carmella asked.

"No, I just wanted to ask how things have been with Seth." Dean said. "Has he taken you to riverside park yet?" Dean asked.

"Dude what are you doing?" Roman asked. Carmella looked confused.

"I'm going to go." Carmella said. Dean looked to Bayley as if he had accomplished something.

"What was that about?" Sasha asked. Bayley looked upset.

"I have to go to the bathroom." Bayley said. She stood up and walked away trying to hold back her tears.

"You're a dick." Roman said.

"Hey Becky." Nikki said as she passed by. Becky gave her a wink.

After school Bayley walked to Joe's with Sasha and Becky.

"So how long have you guys been friends with Finn?" Becky asked.

"A very long time." Bayley said.

"What about you guys?" Sasha asked.

"Our parents were close back in ireland. We were inseperable. The past few year I have only seen him three or four times during the holiday's." Becky said.

"What is he doing here?" Sasha asked as Seth pulled up on his bike. He took off his helmet and stared at Bayley.

"Go on inside. I will be right in." "Bayley said.

"What do you want Seth?" Bayley asked.

"I have been texting you all day." Seth said.

"Trust me I know." Bayley said.

"You're ignoring me?" Seth asked.

"I have to get inside, Becky and Sasha are waiting for me." Bayley said.

"Wait." Seth grabbed her arm. "I thought we were good?"

"Riverside park?" Bayley asked.

"What about it?" Seth asked.

"Is that like your spot? Is that where you take to.." Bayley asked. Seth put his head down.

"It's not like Bayley." Seth said.

"Then what is it like?" Bayley asked.

"Okay maybe I have taken a few girls there but that is not what I was doing with you. We are friends, you know that. I took you there because it was the only place I thought we wouldn't be seen together." Seth said. Bayley stared at him for a moment.

"I don't know if I believe you." Bayley said.

Inside the cafe Sasha and Becky were waiting for their food.

"So how long have you and Finn been together?" Becky asked.

"Officially since Friday." Sasha said.

"And before that?" Becky asked.

"All summer." Sasha said.

"And you like him?" Becky asked.

"Obviously." Sasha defended herself.

"Just making sure." Becky joked.

"So what happened with Nikki?" Sasha asked.

"Let's just say she isn't one hundred percent straight." Becky said.

"Really?" Sasha asked in surprise.

"At least she wasn't last night." Becky said with a wink.

"No way!" Sasha said as they shared a laugh. "What was it like?"

"There is only one way to figure that out baby girl." Becky flirted. She watched as Sasha bushed and searched for Bayley.

"Are you busy right now?" Seth asked.

"Kind of, can't you see that?" Bayley asked.

"Okay." Seth said.

"Why don't you join us?" Bayley asked.

"I am supposed to be at practice." Seth said. "I don't want anyone knowing I was here." Seth said.

"Right. How is your stomach?" Bayley asked.

"It's better now." Seth said.

"So you will be at school tomorrow?"Bayley asked.

"I think so, you father doesn't like me missing school." Seth said.

"Really?" Bayley asked. "He probably doesn't want you to bring attention to yourself." Bayley said.

"No, he just wants me to have some normalcy in my lie that's all." Seth said.

"That doesn't sound like my father at all." Bayley joked.

"I have to go but I will see you tomorrow." Seth said, starting his bike back up.

"See ya." Bayley said as he drove off. She walked into Joe's and found Becky and Sasha.

"Who was that?" Becky asked.

"Seth." Bayley said, taking her seat.

"Why wasn't he at school today?" Sasha asked.

"He has a cold." Bayley blurted out.

"Oh." Sasha said.

"What were you two talking about?" Bayley asked.

"Nikki." Sasha said.

"You know she has a byofriend right?" Bayley asked.

"I actually didn't. We didn't have a lot of time to talk if you know what I mean." Becky joked. Bayley laughed and looked at Sasha.

"Have you ever been with a guy?" Sasha asked.

"Have you ever been with a girl?" Becky asked. Sasha was cught back by the question.

"Sasha?" Bayley asked.

"Only once." Sasha blurted out.

"With who? You never told me that." Bayley asked.

"You don't know her." Sasha said, trying to avoid eye contact.

"Like it?" Becky asked.

"I'm not answering that." Sasha said.

"I can't believe you never told me this." Bayley said.

"It was a long time ago." Sasha assured her.

"You aren't going to tell me who it was?" Bayley asked. Sasha didn't respond.

After practice the guys met the girls at Joe's.

"How was practice?" Sasha asked as she greeted Finn with a kiss.

"Good." Finn said.

"Getting tired of covering for Seth." Roman said.

"He was just here not to long ago." Becky said.

"Was he?" Dean asked.

"Ya, that's who you were talking to right Bayley?" Becky asked.

"Ya." Bayley said shamefully.

The group was silent for a moment until a group of guys walked in the door.

"Don't look now but Mike just just walked in." Sasha said.

"Who is Mike?"Becky asked.

"This asshole that's always messing with Finn." Sasha said.

"It's not a big deal." Finn said.

"Mike's been messing with you?" Dean asked.

"He's just playing around, nothing harmful." Finn said.

"Let us know if he takes things too far." Roman said.

"Is he the one having a party this weekend?" Becky asked.

"That's the one." Sasha said.

"Should we skip?" Roman asked.

"No. You have to stand up to him man." Dean said.

Everyone finished up at Joe's and left for the night. Bayley and Dean were enduring yet another awkward car ride.

"So what did Seth want?" Dean asked. Bayley didn't respond. "Are you ignoring me now?"

"I'm just tired." Bayley said. They rode the rest of the way in silence.

When they got home Maria was waiting for them at the dining table.

"You two are late." Maria said.

"Sorry. We were with friends." Bayley said.

"Who might that be?" Maria asked.

"Roman, Sasha, Finn, and Becky." Dean said.

"No Seth?" Maria asked.

"Did father tell you?" Bayley asked.

"Of course." Maria said.

"No, he wasn't there." Bayley told her. Dean watched the exchange with intrigue.

Bayley was silent for the next several minutes. A unexpected knock at the door surprised everyone.

"Who could that be?" Maria asked. Bayley's eyes widened. Maria walked to open the door.

"James." Bayley let out with a sigh of relief.

"You wanted to take to me?" James asked.

"Yes, excuse me." Bayley left the table and dragged James outside. She ordered him into her car.

"Can I ask what this is about?" James asked.

"You know me James? I've always been honest with you." Bayley said.

"What is it?" James asked.

"It's about my father's lunch yesterday." Bayley said.

"And Seth?" James asked.

"He is my friend James. My father isn't going to listen to me. Can you just talk to him?" Bayley asked.

"You seemed okay with his decision when you left." James said.

"Can you please talk to him?" Bayley asked.

"Bayley you know I would take a bullet for you but I can't go against your father." James said.

"I don't know why I even asked." Bayley said, getting out of the car.

"I will see what I can do but I am not making nay promises." James said.

"Thank you." Bayley said.

When Bayley got back into the house Dean was gone.

"Where did Dean go?" Bayley asked.

"Upstairs, he said he had a stomach ache." Maria said. 

"I have a lot of homework to catch up on." Bayley told her.

"Go on." Maria said.

When Bayley and Dean went downstairs for breakfast the next morning they didn't know they were in for a surprise.

"Father?" Bayley asked as she walked into the kitchen.

"Bonita." Her father said in a somber mood.

"What are you doing here?" Bayley asked.

"You must be Dean." Marco said, offering out his hand.

"Nice to meet you sir." Dean said.

"What's going on?" Bayley asked as James entered the room.

"James let me know of your little discussion last night." Marco said.

"Dean maybe you should go." Bayley said.

"No, stay." Marco said. "Bayley you will invite your friends over this evening." Marco said.

"What?" Bayley asked.

"James will have to be here." Marco said.

"Father you don't need to do this." Bayley said.

"Make sure you invite Seth." Marco said.

"I'm confused." Bayley said.

"Dean come with me." Marco said.

"What's going on father?" Bayley asked.

"I just want to have a word with him." Marco said, leading him out of the door.

"Where are you taking him." Bayley asked.

"Have a good day at school bonita." Marco said as he lead Dean into a car.

"Sir, I should probably get to school." Dean said.

"Relax." James said.

"Do you know who I am?" Marco asked.

"I'm not sure what you're talking about sir." Dean said.

"I think you do." Marco said. "You see I allowed you in my house out of courtesy to Maria. But don't think I didn't look into you."

"Sir-." Dean prepared to speak.

"Does my daughter know?" Marco asked.

"No." Dean said.

"Let's keep it that way." Marco said.

"Are you in touch with your father?" Marco asked.

"Not in a few months." Dean said.

"You have guts I will give you that." Marco said. "Did you think I wouldn't find out?"

"I didn't know who you were until a few minutes ago." Dean said.

"Did your father put you up to this? Did he ask you to befriend my daughter?" Marco asked.

"He doesn't know. I told you he doesn't keep in touch." Dean said.

"I doubt that." Marco said.

"Sir I'm not working for him if that's what you think." Dean said. "He stopped communications after everything went down."

"Does he know your mother is in the hospital?" Marco asked.

"I don't think so." Dean said.

"Maria wants you at the house but I don't trust you." Marco said.

"Sir I promise you I am just a regular high school student. You daughter has become a really good friend of mine. I wouldn't ever do anything to mess that up, not even for my father." Dean said.

"I will give you one chance." Marco said.

"Thank you sir." Dean said.

"Under one condition." Marco said.

"What is it?" Dean asked.

"You know what happened with Big Jon?" Marco asked.

"I do." Dean said.

"Then you are smart enough to know your father is probably planning some kind of retaliation?" Marco asked.

"Yes." Dean said.

"If you want to stick around here you are going to have to prove your loyalty. I have done well at protecting my daughter but I need you to keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary." Marco said.

"Yes sir." Dean said. They pulled around the block from the school. Dean got out and walked to class.
