It was Wednesday afternoon and Becky and Sasha were watching Dean, Seth, and Finn at practice. Roman and Bayley had went to his house after school to be alone.

"Is this you?" Bayley asked as she examined a family photograph.

"I know, I was adorable." Roman joked.

Roman's parents were out of town so they had the house to themselves. Roman was sitting on his bed while Bayley observed his room.

"How have I never been in here?" Bayley asked.

"You guys have only ever been here to party." Roman said.

"Are we crazy for doing this?" Bayley asked.

"I don't think so." Roman said.

"It just all feels really fast." Bayley said as she walked over to Roman.

She stood in front of his bed as he looked up to her.

"Not for me." Roman said.

"What do you mean?" Bayley asked.

"You really had no idea I had feelings for you?" Roman asked.

"No, I really didn't. Since when?" Bayley asked.

"The first day of school." Roman said.

"No, you're just saying that." Bayley said.

"It's true. While Dean was asking Sasha out I couldn't take my eyes off you." Roman said.

"I don't believe you." Bayley said.

"But you only seemed to notice Seth." Roman said.

"Really?" Bayley asked, trying to remember back to that day.

"Then when you told Dean off that night at the party.. I was damn who is this girl?" Roman asked.

"I really didn't know." Bayley said.

"Dean and Seth ha all your attention. All I could do is sit back and wait." Roman said.

"You're too good to be true." Bayley said as he put his hands around her waste.

Bayley leaned down and kissed Roman. As they parted lips he looked up into her eyes and broke out a smile.

"Wanna hit the pool?" Roman asked.

After practice the guys we walking off the field. Becky and Sasha were making out on the bleachers so they hadn't noticed practice was over.

"Get a room!" Finn yelled.

"Over already?" Becky asked as Sasha fixed her hair.

"Where's Roman and Bayley?" Dean asked.

"Bayley is having dinner with her father and Roman had something to do with his parents." Sasha said.

"Bayley only has dinner with her father once a week." Seth said.

"Maybe she is with the new boyfriend." Sasha said.

"Boyfriend? Who said anything about a boyfriend?" Dean asked.

"Forget I said anything." Sasha said.

Mike walked up to the field, signaling Finn his way.

"I'll be right back." Finn said as he ran in Mike's direction.

"Hey." Mike said.

"Hi." Finn said.

"I wanted to apologize for the other day, I was out of line." Mike said.

"It's fine Mike, don't worry about it." Finn said.

"So we are good?" Mike asked.

"We are just friends?" Finn asked.

"That's fine with me as long as you stop talking to me when your shirtless." Mike said.

"Noted." Finn laughed.

"I'll see you then?" Mike asked.

"See ya man." Finn said as he ran back to the others.

At Roman's house he and Bayley were getting out of the pool. She watched Roman as he dried himself with a towel.

"What?" Roman asked.

Bayley bit her lip and hesitate dot make her next move. Bayley threw down her towel and ran over to him.

"Bayley?" Roman asked.

She jumped up on Roman as she threw her arms around his neck.

"Kiss me." She ordered.

He did what he was told and held her up by her thighs. Roman walked them into the house and threw her down on the couch. Bayley let out a playful laugh. He climbed on top of her and they continued to make out. Suddenly Roman's phone rang.

"Don't answer it." Bayley said.

Roman pulled out his phone and read the caller ID.

"It's Paige." Roman said as he threw the phone.

When Bayley got home that evening she cleaned up and got ready for bed. She was frightened when she heard someone on her balcony.

"Seth?" Bayley asked.

"Where were you tonight?" Seth asked.

"What?" Bayley asked him.

"I know you weren't  with you're father." Seth said.

"Seth." Bayley said.

"Were you with him?" Seth asked.

"I don't know what you re talking about." Bayley said.

"You know your father has me review the security footage every once in awhile." Seth said.

"Oh?" Bayley asked.

"After practice he had me review everything from this weekend. Usually I try to respect your privacy and skip through everything.." Seth said.

"And this time?" Bayley asked.

"I know it was Roman you went on a date with." Seth said.

"What? No." Bayley said.

"I saw him pick you up Bayley and I saw him drop you off and kiss your fucking goodnight!" Seth yelled.

"Calm down." Bayley said.

"How the hell am I supposed to calm down? You know how I feel about you yet you just seem to date everyone except for me." Seth said.

"That's not true." Bayley said.

"I have a few more friends from summer camp if you want me to give them a call for you." Seth said.

"Seth stop!" Bayley yelled.

"I can't believe you." Seth said.

"Do you hear yourself? Have you ever stopped to think that maybe this isn't about you?" Bayley asked.

Seth just looked at her with disappointment.

"Roman asked me out and I told him no. Then you were here rambling on about you're feeling for me and I just blurted out that I was going on a date. It felt like the only thing I could do to stop you from feeling whatever you feel for me." Bayley said.

"So you did this to spite me?" Seth asked.

"I did this to forget about what we did. I thought I would go on the date and it would be really weird and awkward. I figured he and would end up laughing about it in a few weeks." Bayley said.

"And now?" Seth asked.

"He surprised me. I wasn't expecting any of this but being with him.. it's nice." Bayley said.

"So you actually like him?" Seth asked.

"I do." Bayley said.

"I can't believe this." Seth said.

"I didn't want this to happen anymore than you did." Bayley said.

"I had a feeling he wanted you.." Seth said.

"Wanted me?" Bayley asked insultingly.

"He was always so defensive about you and he punched me in face the night we kissed at that party." Seth said.

"Wow, I never even thought of all that. He told me he has had feelings for me for awhile but I just never noticed.." Bayley said.

"Because you were distracted." Seth said.

"Seth." Bayley said.

"He took a bullet for you." Seth said to himself.

"He did." Bayley said.

"I don't know if I should be hurt because you are with someone else or happy that you're finally getting some normalcy." Seth said.

"I promise you I didn't plan on an of this, it just happened." Bayley said.

"Are you going to tell everyone else?" Seth asked.

"Eventually." Bayley said.

"I have to go, I'm sorry I yelled." Seth said as he walked onto the balcony.

"See you tomorrow." Bayley said as he climbed over the balcony.

Thursday morning Bayley woke up to the sound of men talking downstairs. She looked out of her window to find three black SUV's parked in front of her house. Bayley ran downstairs in her pajamas.

"Father what's going on?" Bayley asked.

"James is back." Marco said.

"What do you mean?" Bayley asked.

"After Seth questioned him that night he escaped. He has been off the grid for weeks." Marco said.

"And now? Bayley asked.

"He wants to finish the job." Marco said.

Bayley looked at her father with concern.  She missed the first half of school but met up with everyone at lunch.

"There you are." Sasha said.

"Sorry, I had a rough morning." Bayley said as she sat next to Roman.

"What happened?" Becky asked.

"James is back." Bayley said.

"For you?" Finn asked.

Dean watched as Roman put his arm around Bayley and rubbed her shoulder in comfort.

"Um.." Sasha said.

"No way!" Becky said.

"We were going to wait to tell you guys." Bayley said as she looked to Dean who had his head down.

"I didn't see that coming." Becky said.

"So if James is back I assume that's why Seth isn't here." Sasha said.

"My father has had the guy working all morning." Bayley said.

Finn stood up and walked away.

"Finn?" Becky asked.

Dean slammed his hands on the table and stormed away.

"Why is he upset about James?" Becky asked.

"I don't think that's what he's upset about." Sasha said as she looked to Roman and Sasha.

"Do you want to go check on him?" Roman asked.

"He'll be fine." Bayley said.

After school Bayley drove home. Her and Roman had made plans for that evening but after the news about James she figured it was best to stay in. She got home and went upstairs, only to find Dean waiting on her bed.

"Dean? What are you doing here?" Bayley asked.

He didn't respond.

"Why aren't you at practice?" Bayley asked.

He remained silent as Bayley observed him.

"Have you been drinking?" Bayley asked.

"You're killing me girl, you know that?" Dean asked in a raspy voice.

"Dean." Bayley said sympathetically.

"Roman?" Dean asked.

"It just happened." Bayley said.

"I feel like someone hit me with a truck." Dean said as she sat down next to him on the bed.

"Dean I'm sorry. I don't know what else you want me to say." Bayley said.

"This is all my fault." Dean said.

"What do you mean?" Bayley asked.

"I heard you had a magical night and that you're kiss was life changing." Dean said.

"Sasha told you?" Bayley asked.

"You like him?" Dean asked.

"Dean you broke up with me. Do you know how hard it was to see you with Alexa?" Bayley asked.

"But your father-." Dean began to say.

"This has nothing to do with my father. You slept with Mandy, do you remember that?" Bayley asked.

"Right." Dean said as he got up from her bed.

"I was a fool, I know that now. Someone like you could never love me." Bayley said.

"I want you to be happy." Dean said.

"I am happy with him."  Bayley said.

"That's good." Dean said with a crack in his voice.

"And you are happy with Alexa. Maybe everything is going to work itself out." Bayley said.

"Can we at least be friends?" Dean asked.

"We are friends Dean." Bayley said.

"I mean like we used to be." Dean said.

"We can try." Bayley said.

"I should go." Dena said as he walked onto her balcony.

"Please don't fall, you have had a lot to drink." Bayley said as he climbed down.

After practice Finn was the last one on the field. He and Mike were throwing a football bck and forth when a man approached.

"Finn." The man said.

Finn turned to find a familiar face approaching the field.

"James." Finn said.

James walked up to him, taking notice of Mike.

"How are you?" James asked.

"How are you? That's all you have to say? I know who you are." Finn said.

"I just want to explain." James said.

"You tried to kill my best friend and you shot my other friend, what else is their to explain?" Finn asked.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to find out like that." James said.

"Is there a better way to tell your boyfriend that you are a high ranking member of a drug cartel?" Finn asked angrily.

"Is everything okay?" Mike asked as he walked up to them.

"This doesn't concern you." James said.

"Finn?" Mike asked.

"Are you with him now?" James asked.

"Why do you care?" Finn asked.

"I think you need to leave." Mike said.

"You think so?" James asked as he pulled out a gun and pointed it at Mike.

"Whoa man." Mike said as he put his hands up.

"James just go." Finn said as he stood between Mike and the gun.

"This isn't the last you are going to see of me." James said before walking away.

Finn turned around and wrapped his arms around Mike. He put his hands around his face and looked into his eyes.

"Are you okay?" Finn asked.

"Were you about to take a bullet for me?" Mike asked.

Finn laughed and playfully shoved Mike.

The chapter is going to start at the game on Friday night. Bayley's father is giving her their cabin in the woods for the weekend. Two nights away from their troubles is exactly what they need but no one could predict what was about to come. Relationships with be tested, friendships will be examined, and old rivalries with reignite.
