Jealousy
Dean and Bayley had pulled up to lake a few miles out out of town. After what happened to Bayley she has decided to learn how to shoot a gun. Bayley was completely out of her comfort zone. She hates everything about guns and any kind of violence. Bayley has promised herself when she was a little girl that she would never be anything like her father. Dean had set up three empty bottles of liquor as targets.
"Okay so it's really kind of simple, just aim." Dean said as he aimed the gun. "And shoot." He fired off three shots and knocked down all the bottles.
"I don't think I can do that." Bayley said.
"Not right away you won't be able to but eventually." Dean said.
He reloaded and handed the gun to Bayley. He replaced the bottles and stood behind her.
"Am I holding it right?" Bayley asked.
Dean walked up behind her and put his hand over hers in the gun as he guided her. Bayley could feel him breathing next to her ear and couldn't help but think back to the night he kissed her.
"Just like that." Dean said as he backed away.
"Do I shoot now?" Bayley asked.
"Just pull the trigger." Dean said.
Bayley did what Dean told her. On the first shot she missed.
"Try to stay firm." Dean said.
She was a little more comfortable on the second shot but she still missed. On the third shot Bayley hit one bottle.
"Well done." Dean said.
"That felt amazing!" Bayley said.
After school the guys were getting ready for practice.
"Where is Ambrose?" The coach asked.
"He wasn't at school school today." Finn said. The coach walked away angrily.
"None if you have hear from Bayley?" Roman asked.
"No." Finn and Seth said.
"Seth you two took off last night, did she say anything to you about missing today!" Roman asked.
"No, not at all." Seth said.
"Maybe she is sick and just hasn't gotten around to texting us. She wouldn't skip school, not in a million years." Finn said.
"I've tried texting Dean to find out what's going on but he never replied." Roman said.
Around the corner Becky, Sasha, and Nikki were at Joe's.
"I have to get going, practice starts in a few minutes." Nikki said as she kissed Becky goodbye.
Sasha watched as Nikki left, just realizing she was now left alone with Becky. She pulled out her phone and pretended to text someone.
"You don't have to do that you know." Becky said.
"What?" Sasha asked as she looked up from her phone.
"You are avoiding me." Becky said.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Sasha said.
"Okay, whatever you say." Becky said.
Sasha continued to fake text as Becky watched her in disbelief.
"Look I am sorry for what I said to you the other day. Finn is my best friend, I would never-." Becky said.
"Ya I got it." Sasha said rudely as she finally looked up from her phone.
"Ahh, finally she acknowledges me." Becky said.
"I don't have time for your bullshit Becky." Sasha said as she got up from the table.
"Sit." Becky said as she blocked Sasha from leaving.
"Who the hell do you think you are? You can't tell me what to do." Sasha said as she got in Becky's face.
"Please Sasha just sit down so we can have a grown up conversation. You don't have to stomp out of here like a little kid." Becky said.
Sasha have her a dirty look before reluctantly returning to her seat. Becky day back down as well.
"Look Sasha, I'm sorry for what I said to you the other day. For now on I will stay out of your personal business, that includes you and Finn." Becky said.
"Fine." Sasha said.
Dean and Bayley were driving home after shooting outside of town.
"You are really good with guns."
Bayley said.
"Ya." Dean said.
"I mean you hit all three of the targets. You're like a pro at this." Bayley said.
"No, that was just dumb luck." Dean said.
"How did you learn to shoot like that?" Bayley asked.
Dean was brought back by Bayley's question.
"Uh.. growing up the way I did, you always had to be prepared for anything." Dean said.
"Yeah, that's makes since. I was only there with you for five minutes and I was terrified." Bayley said.
"Yeah.." Dean said.
"Well thank you for helping me, it really means a lot." Bayley said.
"No problem Bayley. I think that considering who your father is, it's smart to want to protect yourself. Even though your father has done a great job keeping you safe. You shouldn't have to depend on someone else to save your life when you can take things into your own hands and do it yourself." Dean said.
"You are totally right. I have always tried so hard to stay away from that part of my life. But being out there today, it all just felt so natural. It's empowering to know that I am going to be able to protect myself." Bayley said.
"You will, I can promise you that. You picked up everything so easily today." Dean said.
"This is so surreal. If my father knew about this he would lose his mind." Bayley said.
"He would?" Dean asked. "He wouldn't be proud of you for taking action and doing things on you own for once?"
"No way. Ever since I was a little girl we have talked about how I would do better than he did. I'll go to college, get a great job, get married and eventually have children. He wants me to have a chance at a normal life." Bayley said.
"And you? Do you want a normal life? Dean asked her.
"What do you mean?" Bayley asked.
"I just think that maybe you let your father dictate what you do too much. You shouldn't be living life the way he wants you to Bayley. Live the life you want to live and don't apologize for it. Dean said.
Bayley took Deans advice into consideration. He had a point. Bayley has never actually done anything for herself, everything had always been for her father.
Dean and Bayley pulled up to her house and got out of the car.
"I think I stole this hoodie from someone this weekend. I put it on that night when we were talking with Sami and I must have forgot I had it on. I need to figure out who's this is so I can give it back." Bayley said.
"No need. You can keep it." Dean said.
"This is you hoodie? Why didn't you tell me?" Bayley asked as Seth pulled into her driveway on her motorcycle.
"Hey. Everyone has been trying to get ahold of you guys." Seth said as he approached them.
"Sorry about that, our phones were off." Bayley apologized.
"Where were you? Seth asked Bayley.
Dean looked to Seth in confusion.
"Dean is it okay if I talk to Seth for a minute?" Bayley asked.
"You are talking to Seth." Dean said.
"She means alone." Seth said rudely.
"Is that what you want Bayley?" Dean asked her.
"I will be right inside, I promise." Bayley assured him.
Dean turned his attention to Seth with somewhat of a threatening stare before walking away.
"Seth I'm fine, you didn't have to come here." Bayley said as she watched Dean enter the house.
"You weren't at school today Bayley. After what happened last night I didn't know where you're head was at." Seth said.
"I should have text you back, I'm sorry." Bayley said.
"It's okay Bayley. I just didn't know if you were safe or if something else had happened." Seth said.
"No, everything is fine. And I was with Dean, if anything would have happened-." Bayley said.
"What? What would Dean do?" Seth asked. "I know you don't like be talking about it but I am a little more equipped to keep you safe than Dean of all people." Seth said.
"Maybe I can keep myself safe." Bayley said.
"If you could that would be great but you obviously aren't interested in doing that." Seth said.
"Well like I said, nothing happened today, I am safe." Bayley said.
"So why did Dean stay home today?" Seth asked.
"We fell asleep last night during the movie and forgot to set our alarms. We didn't know we were late until you text me." Bayley said.
"You guys were watching a movie?" Seth asked.
"After what happened Dean thought it would cheer me up." Bayley said.
"You told him what happened?" Seth asked.
"He knows who my father is, he understands." Bayley said.
"But he doesn't know about me right?" Seth asked.
"Of course not. I would never." Bayley said.
"Okay, good." Seth said. "But I text you when I was at lunch, you just decided to stay home all together?"
"Well we went to school, I practically dragged Dean out of the door. But when we got there Dean and I decided to just skip the rest of the day." Bayley said.
"You mean Dean decided?" Seth asked.
"No, we both did." Bayley assisted him.
"Bayley I have known you for only a short amount of time but I like to think that we are pretty good friends. We enough of friends that I know you aren't the type to ditch school." Seth said.
"Dean may have suggested it but I completely agreed." Bayley said.
"And What did the two of you do the rest of the day? You just got home before I got here. Where have you been all day?" Seth asked.
"Seth why are you asking me all these questions?" Bayley asked in defense.
"Because I don't trust him." Seth said.
"You don't trust him? For what? I promise you that Dean isn't going to kill me." Bayley joked.
"That's not what I mean." Seth said.
Bayley stared at him for a second as she realized what he meant. It took her a second to reply.
"Seth, Dean is my friend, he is a nice guy. Beside, he is your best friend too. You guys have been friends longer than I have known either of you. Bayley said.
"I have to go." Seth said as he got on his bike.
"Seth." Baykey said.
"Nice hoodie by the way." Seth said insultingly.
Bayley watched in disbelief as Seth left her drive way. She didn't know what had gotten into Seth. Back in the house Dean was waiting in Bayley's room.
"What was that about?" Dean asked.
"You know, just Seth being Seth." Bayley said.
"No, actually I don't." Dean said bluntly.
Bayley looked to Dean in confusion. She had just spent an entire day with Dean and now he was acting weird.
"Dean I just wanted to talk to Seth for a minute." Bayley said.
"What about?" Dean asked.
"Why are Troy guys asking me all these questions? I'm not a magic eight ball." Bayley said.
"You know what, I have to study." Dean said as he left her room.
"He never study's." Bayley said to herself.
It was Friday night and the big game was about to start. The guys were warming up on the field while Bayley and Sasha watched from the bleachers. Mandy Rose And Carmella were cheerleaders but Alexa and Paige approached Bayley and Sasha.
"Can we join you guys?" Alexa asked.
"Yeah, hows it going?" Bayley asked as Alexa sat next to her.
"Good." Alexa said.
Sasha looked to each other acknowledging how awkward the situation was.
"Hey guys." Becky said as she took a seat next to Sasha on the bleachers. "Paige, I'm glad you came tonight."
"Me too." Paige said as she searched for Roman on the field.
"So you and Roman?" Sasha asked.
"We are just friends." Paige said.
Out on the field Seth ran onto the field.
"You're late man." Roman said.
"I'm here now. Did coach notice?" Seth asked.
"No." Roman said.
Dean watched Seth as he talked to Roman for a moment.
"What the fuck Dean? Do you have something to say?" Seth asked.
"Whoa, calm down." Roman said as he prepared to break the two up.
"I just wondering what you talked to Bayley about on Monday." Dean said.
"What?" Roman asked.
"It's none of your god damn business." Seth said.
"I just don't understand why you needed to talk to her alone?" Dean asked.
"Okay What is going on here?" Roman asked.
"I don't know, why don't you ask him about his movie nights with Bayley." Seth said.
"Okay stop. Telling me what the hell is going on. Is this about Bayley?" Roman asked.
"You know Dean is the one that made her ditch school on Monday?" Seth told him.
"Dude." Roman said.
"It wasn't like that." Dean said.
"And did you know they spent the whole day together that day? When I got to Bayley's Monday evening they were just getting home." Seth said.
"Why do you care?" Roman asked.
"Ya, Seth. Why do you care?" Dean asked.
Seth didn't respond. Roman watched as Dean stared down Seth.
"Because she is my friend you arrogant jackass!" Seth yelled as he got in Dean's face.
"You sure about that?" Dean asked as he got in Seth's face even more.
"I could ask you the same thing Dean. Like I have noticed her walking around in your damn hoodie." Seth said.
Dean stepped back for a moment and thought over his next move. Seth looked at him with a smirk on his face. Suddenly Dean shoved Seth. After a short second Seth pushed him back in retaliation. But before things could escalate Roman interfered. He stepped in between the two and separated them.
"What going on out there?" Sasha asked.
"Are Seth and Dean fighting?" Paige asked.
Back on the field Finn approaches the altercation.
"Not here!" Roman yelled.
Dean and Seth back up and tried to catch their breathe.
"We have a game to play right now. Get your heads out of your asses and we definitely going to talk about this after we win." Roman said.
The girls watched from the bleachers in concern. Tonight they were facing a really good team. If Seth and Dean couldn't get on the same page there is no way they were going to win this game.
"I am going to get some snacks, does anyone want anything?" Bayley asked.
"I will have some popcorn." Paige said.
"Me too, and a water please." Sasha said.
"I'll go with you." Alexa said.
Alexa followed Bayley off the bleachers.
"So you an Carmella used to be pretty close?" Alexa asked.
"Yeah, a long time ago." Bayley said.
"She told me what happened." Alexa said as they approached the line for the concession stand.
"She did?" Bayley asked.
"Yes, and I know she is really sorry about it." Alexa said.
"She has never told me that." Bayley said.
"Maybe not to your face but she has told me." Alexa said.
"Really?" Bayley asked.
"Yeah." Alexa said.
"And I don't know the details about what happened between you three but I know that Seth and Dean both care about you very much." Bayley said.
"Thanks But I really don't deserve that." Alexa said.
"You made a mistake, I don't think either of them blame you. Bayley said.
"Thank you, really." Alexa said.
"You are a lot nicer than I thought you would be." Bayley said.
"Did you think I would be a both?" Alexa asked.
"Not exactly." Bayley joked.
On the bleachers Sasha, Becky, and Paige waited for the game to start.
"So how have things been with Finn?" Becky asked.
"I thought we agreed not to talk about this?" Sasha asked.
"Sorry for asking." Becky said.
"You guys are acting kind of weird? What's going on?" Paige asked.
"Nothing." They said at the same time.
Bayley and Alexa we're leaving the concession stand when they heard a familiar voice.
"Bayley!" Mandy yelled from the sidelines as she motioned them towards her.
"Oh god." Alexa said.
Bayley and Alexa approached Mandy and the other cheerleaders as the guys were in a huddle.
"What the fuck?" Seth asked as he grabbed Deans attention.
"Is that-?" Dean began to ask.
"Alexa and Bayley?" Seth finishes his question.
"And Mandy?" Dean asked.
On the side lines Carmella was intrigued as well.
"Bayley. I have been looking for you." Mandy said.
"You have?" Bayley asked.
"Hi Alexa." Mandy said unfortunately. Alexa replies with a sarcastic smile.
"I figured that since we I am with Dean now and you two are friends that we should hang out sometime." Mandy said.
"We should?" Bayley asked.
"Just to get to know each other a little better." Mandy said.
"I don't know.." Bayley began to say.
"Come on it will be fun." Mandy said.
"Well why not invite Sasha too? She is friends with Dean too." Bayley said.
"Fine. She can come. You too Alexa." Mandy said.
"Me?" Alexa asked.
"Yeah. We can make a night of it." Mandy suggested.
"If I can bring Carmella." Alexa said as Carmella rolled her eyes behind them.
"Ya, whatever. We might as well invite Nikki and Becky too." Mandy said.
"Ya, I guess so. Bayley said, still not sure what was happening.
"See you guys tonight!" Mandy said as she returned to the sidelines.
"Tonight?" Alexa and Bayley said as they looked at each other.
