The cabin suddenly lurched under my feet breaking my thought trail and sending me flying into Kasin who automatically grabbed me wrapping his long fingers wrapping around my arms as he braced himself against the floor I blushed and stammered “sorry n-n-normaly I don’t go throwing myself at boys whom iv j-just met.”

He laughed and whispered “well it is unimportant but I would like to find out what all that lurching was about, I don’t think it is normal for a carriage to start moving like that”

“you didn’t notice?” shilas voice was scorning breaking into my trance,

“we started moving the second we closed the door.”  “we did?” my confusion was evident in my voice as I spoke. 

“yes vlaka seriously could you be anymore stupid?” shila sneered cruelly.

“I am not stupid nor do I care for your petty insults shila” my voice was calm and even but the fire in my eyes was not.

I could tell by the expression upon shilas face that she had not expected me to react and even this rebuttal was enough to unnerve her. She could not meet my eyes, she coughed looking away quickly I continued to look at her until I saw acceptance of my reaction in her eyes then I sat down. Kasin quickly leaned over muttering

“how did she insult you?” I smirked “you really aren’t from around here are you?” 

“as at the moment we have no idea as to where we are no I am not from around here.” 

“ smart aleck, the insult she paid me was vlaka which in common tongue means moron.”  He sat back a surprised look upon his face which amused me.

“I thought the two of you were best of friends?”

my mouth twisted into I grim smile and I turned to look out the window as the blackness eased into the brilliant green of a sunlit forest “we have our moments.” He looked at me noting the sadness in my eyes the grimness in my tone.
