Chapter 34
Ok, so I tried to draw Eleanor in her dress all done up and everything. XD I tried lol
Eleanor's POV
Bill and I suddenly appeared inside this giant castle like place. It had the same weird designed tile as my bubble did, but colorful lines didn't run through the cracks. Up at the end of the large hall - it was lined with shiny black columns with blue-flamed torches mounted on them - was a small set of stairs that lead up to two thrones. The one on the left was slightly taller and made of black marble that had large spindly branches that formed a triangle in the middle.
The right throne was smaller and made of also black marble and the same type of branches formed an arrow. My arrow. I swallowed.
Bill was smiling, but this time, it was a happy, sincere smile. "See, I've already got a throne for you Arrow." Bill stated proudly.
He levitated me towards the steps so I could stand in front of the large marble throne. "And don't worry," Bill added enthusiastically, "you're parents will be able to speak with you one last time."
Right when he said that the doors to the castle swung open and my parents stood in the entry way. I let out a cry. "Mom! Dad!" I raced up, ignoring Bill. They were surrounded by the red aura as well.
"Eleanor!" They chorused. They ran up and we all hugged together.
"Ella, tell us what is happening." My dad said urgently.
"It's-"
"Well hello Arrow's parents!" Bill said cheerfully as he interrupted. He pulled me back and away from them.
My mom and dad both narrowed their eyes.
"I believe we've met before, but not formally. I was her friend that she introduce you to." Bill explained.
My dad turned a horrified gaze on me. "What have you done?!"
Bill chuckled and answered for me. "She married me of course! She did it willingly, well, of course there was more to it, but that isn't important." Bill took my hand and warmth flooded over my finger. When he drew his hand away, a large diamond ring was on my ring finger. The band was black though and the diamond sparkled like a star. I bit my lip. This is going too far.
"Ella, what are you thinking! You're thirteen!" My mother cried desperately.
"I had no choice! It was either this or-"
"Arrow." Bill said sternly.
I clamped my mouth shut angrily. I hate you so much...
"Anyways," Bill said breezily, "we are wed. Eleanor Cipher, my wife, has one more present from me for her to receive." Bill smirked at me.
I stood stiff, blush rushing to me cheeks. God, no, this can't be happening.
"You can leave." Bill waved them away.
"Wait!" I shouted. "Let me say goodbye!"
Bill rolled his eyes. "Go ahead, dear."
Ugh, never call me dear again. I marched forward. "I'm sorry," I said quickly, "I had to save you guys."
"What is he? Why did you marry him?!" My mom exclaimed.
"Because-" I couldn't say, Bill would stop me. "It doesn't matter. I love you." I wrapped my arms around them, feeling my heart split. I had to do this for them.
When I leaned back, they were gone.
"Bill, no, I can't do this!" I begged.
"Please, come up to the thrones so you can receive your gift." Bill beckoned.
I angrily stomped over and up the short steps. Bill put his palm out flat in front of me and grabbed the air like he was grabbing a cloth and lifted it up. The air around his hand shimmered and suddenly a crown appeared. A black and gold crown was now in his hand. It had thin, delicate lines that made it up and in the center was my arrow symbol, jeweled in white diamonds. He placed it upon my head.
I looked up in confusion. "What is this for?" I asked stubbornly.
"This is your crown, for my Queen." Bill bowed mockingly and smiled.
"You know I don't love you, right?" I spat.
Hurt flashed across his face. "You may say that." Bill said and walked away.
"Wait!" I tried to grab him, but he stopped anyways so I crashed into him. "Bill, why does this have to happen?" I asked.
Bill sighed. "I already told you. Your power and such, it's all very complicated so I prefer to just leave it alone."
I growled. "You know that you don't love me, right?" I turned my question around.
Bill stared at me surprised. "Of course I... - what you said - of course I do."
"Then say it." I dared him.
"Say what?" Bill turned around.
"Say you love me." I spat.
Bill's smile turned into a deep frown. "This does not matter, Arrow. About tomorrow I shall perform the ceremony to take your power from you. Don't make me regret it." Bill turned on his heel and marched off into the castle.
I stood there in silence. What was I going to do?
*******
Later that day, Bill had returned, out of his tuxedo, so he could show me my room. "Follow me." His voice was curt.
I reluctantly walked down a dimly lit hall to where my room supposedly was. At least my parents were alive and Mabel was too. But why didn't he at least bring Dipper back, as a favor even? I fricking married him and he didn't even care to have the curtesy to bring another dead body to life.
Bill put his hand against the wall and a blue light radiated off of it. A handle suddenly formed off the wall, black as everything else. He grabbed it, twisted it, and swung the door open.
The floor was made of black-stained wooden boards. A queen sized bed was a light gray color. There was a black chest filled with who-knows-what. A smaller door lead to, what I guessed, a bathroom. There was a small window with black bars running through it in a cross formation, allowing some light to filter into the dark room with black walls.
"This, is your room." Bill smiled over my shoulder as I stared at it in wonder. I had never really had a nice room. They were always small and untidy. But I felt like...like a queen with this. Wow. Well done Bill.
I stepped in. "Bill...what if I don't want this?" I turned around, my golden arrow bracelet shimmering in the faint light.
Bill was silent as he stood there, almost like he was admiring me.
Blush rushed to my cheeks and I furrowed my brow. "Bill! Did you hear me?!"
Bill snapped out of his daze. "What?"
"What if I don't want this?" I repeated.
Bill just smiled and shook his head. "You soon will want this. It just takes time. Much better than your prison, if I do say so myself." Bill fixed his bow tie. "Besides, you signed the contract, this is the deal. If you turn on it, your parents and Shooting Star will meet an even worse fate than they already had."
I averted my eyes from his.
"So, you see, it's better this way. If you break the contract, Hell will rain down on you all, much more catastrophically than before. But, if you don't, the ones you love will not be hurt." Bill tried to find my gaze. "Simple as that."
I lowered my head, hiding my disappointment and sorrow.
"Do you understand?" Bill asked.
I stayed quite for a moment. "Yes...Bill." I finally murmured.
He suddenly tossed something to me. I caught it clumsily in surprise. It was my sketch book. I looked up in shock as he slid over my drawing utensils.
"I'll be back by dark, Arrow. For now, entertain yourself." Bill then closed the door and it melted with the wall, fusing the edges together so there was no way out.
I walked over to my bed and a desk suddenly appeared beside me like it sensed I needed a flat surface. It had a large mirror hung on the wall and a stool with a black cushion on it.
I walked over to it, and looked into the mirror. Who I saw, wasn't me. My hair was done up high in curls and they spilled over my shoulders and the makeup made my face look flawless. The dress was gorgeous and flowing with different intricate patterns running through it. The crown stood out, glimmering, on top of my head. I took a slow and deep breath. This wasn't me. I never wore dresses or makeup. I had never even thought about the future and marriage, but here I was, married and wearing a dress.
I guess I should have expected the unexpected.
I sat down in the chair, my crown reflecting the faint light. "Oh my God..." I whispered as I sat, mesmerized by my reflection. "What have I done?"
