Why

Emma walked into the house and to the office. She set the manila folder down and the flowers. Trevor walked in. He glared at the flowers.

"What are you doing with those?" He had to ask.

Emma smiled and smelled them. "Enjoying them." She saw the look that Trevor had. "What? I couldn't leave them until next week. They would be dead then and I wanted to look at them. They are pretty and there is no harm in enjoying flowers, Trevor."

Trevor looked worried. "Emma, I know it's been a long time since you had a date but do you think dating a hunter is a good idea?"

Emma laughed. "No! Not dating. It's just 'I'm sorry' flowers. They thought I was human. I was careful, I'm always careful, Trevor. I'm hungry and I need a shower."

She walked to the kitchen and heated up her meal. Trevor followed. "And you talked to Byron?"

She nodded. "I did. He found me. He wants information on the hunters."

"And the flowers?" Trevor chuckled as Emma threw napkins at him. "Hey!" He caught them.

Emma sighed. "What's happening, Trevor?"

Trevor shrugged. "I know that this new vampire is trouble. I saw the video, Byron sent me a video of the scene that he saw. It was horrible. We need to get in contact with those hunters, maybe they can help?"

Emma agreed. "Maybe. I think that Byron had that thought also." She tossed her trash away and headed to bed. The sun was already up and being obnoxious. She closed her eyes and saw Cash wink and she smiled.
