The Alpha
The Alpha
Bryon sat at his desk and had to make a call. He knew that smell from somewhere. Garlic. He knew of one family that used garlic. One family popped into his head and he had to check it out.
He dialed the police department in Illinois. A man named Barney Schmit answered. He was the captain of the office there and a Beta of a different pack. "Coal County Sheriff's office. Barney speaking, how can I help you?"
"Barney. Byron McIntyre." Byron wanted this mess done already. He wanted a normal quiet life.
Barney took a breath. He knew who this was. "Sir."
"Do you know of any hunters? They are fond of garlic." Bryon asked.
Barney nodded, which was stupid and he didn't want to talk about it. "Yes. We have a hunter family nearby. The...Hawkins. Uh, Aspen Hawkins is the father. They are very good. Do you need them?"
"No. I think they're here. Can you find out if they're traveling?" Bryon sighed.
Barney smiled. "I talked to Tucker the other day. He's the oldest son. He said his brothers were out on a hunt. I would guess they are traveling. So, it's probably them. They are very good at the job, Sir. Very good."
"Hawkins. Okay. So there are two men. Uh, brothers that are close to the same age, almost six feet tall and attractive from what I heard." He rolled his eyes at Emma's description. "They work with Garlic." That was all of the information that Bryon knew. He was making notes as he talked.
"I think that about sums them up. Yes. They are the best, Sir. Do you need to talk to their father?" Barney was curious. He would help the Alpha with whatever he wanted.
"No. Not yet. Let's keep this conversation quiet for now, Barney. I just wanted to make sure that they knew what they were doing and weren't some dipshits that were going to kill themselves." Byron didn't need more bodies.
Barney smiled. "No, not those boys. They live to hunt. They are the best and if they are in your neighborhood, then you have a problem. They are good men. You may want to search for them and see if you can help them, Sir."
"Noted. Thanks, Barney." Byron hung up.
Barney knew he was gone but he said your welcome anyway.
