Cash and Emma were sitting at the breakfast table outside. "This is so nice." She found a shady spot. There were people walking around and Trevor was showing Veronica around.

He looked very happy holding Veronica's hand. They walked close and Trevor would stop and kiss her once every couple of steps. Emma smiled at her brother. He needed someone for a long time.

It looked like it was going to be a nice day. It was already hot outside. "We should come here more often. I get so caught up in work and fighting that I forget to enjoy myself." Emma sighed and leaned back in her chair. Sitting in the shade felt wonderful.

"I'm worried about Malcolm." Cash couldn't concentrate.

"What? Why?" Emma was curious.

Cash sighed. "I never saw him get serious with anyone and Byron doesn't seem like the type that would put up with sharing."

Emma stared at Cash. "You're okay with Malcolm being with Byron?"

Cash smiled. "I think he could be happy with Byron but I don't want him to hurt Byron. Malcolm's pretty shallow."

"Right. Byron will turn and eat him. Byron won't put up with his shit. Malcolm knows that, I hope." Emma looked at Cash and he shrugged.

He didn't know what Malcolm was thinking. They needed to talk again.

"They are very cute together. I thought they were going to jump on each other while they were eating ice cream!" Emma laughed.

Cash chuckled. "I've never seen Malcolm flirt with a man before. Hell, I've seen him flirt with women but not like that. That was different."

Emma couldn't help but ask this question. "Has he been with a man before?"

Cash shrugged. "Not sure. It never came up. I have heard details about all of his girls though."

"Gross!" Emma made a face. She remembered their conversation about three ways. "I remember the three way conversation."

Cash laughed. "Like that but with much more detail. I always feel like I was there! It's disgusting and Malcolm doesn't even notice. I think Tucker's entertained by Malcolm and I'm grossed out."

Malcolm walked out with Byron and he was carrying two plates. They joined Cash and Emma. "Good morning!" Byron smiled. He was a morning person but this morning was the best one. They sat together.

"Right. Good morning?" Cash examined Malcolm for signs of trauma. He was curious about what happened between them. He was trying to brace himself for the details that he didn't want to hear.

"Don't ask any of those questions bouncing around your head, Cash." Malcolm took a bite of bacon.

"What?" Cash stared at the couple. Malcolm and Byron were sitting close. "I wasn't going to ask a question."

Byron laughed. "That is a bold face lie! You're a terrible liar, Cash!"

Cash sighed. "Fine. What happened? You both disappeared when we got here. What happened?" He was nosy and he didn't want to be.

"Nothing." Byron and Malcolm both answered.

Byron looked at Malcolm and they stared at each other. This is the first time that Malcolm didn't want to tell his brother any details. He wanted to keep Byron all to himself.

Malcolm smiled at Byron just seconds before he took Malcolm's mouth hostage. Byron put a hand on Malcolm's face and pulled him closer as the kiss deepened.

"Not at the table! This is breakfast!" Cash just stared at the kissing couple. Malcolm clearly wasn't fighting this. This wasn't their first kiss by any stretch of the imagination.

"Guys!" Cash stared at them and watched his brother slide his tongue into Byron's mouth. He couldn't look away.

Emma sighed. "It's nice to see Byron happy." She never saw him look at anyone like he just looked at Malcolm. Emma gasped.

Byron broke the kiss and looked at Emma. "Not a word." He growled. He knew that Emma just figured them out. She had been around wolves long enough to know they were mated.

"Really?" Emma smiled. "I'm thrilled for you, Sir!"

"Thanks, Emma." Byron smiled and looked at Malcolm.

Malcolm looked down. He just kissed a man in front of his brother. His man. His mate. "So, I'm his mate." He blurted it out.

Cash just stared at them. "What? What does that even mean?"

Byron put his arm around Malcolm and inhaled his scent. "He belongs to me."

Malcolm sighed. "We talked about this. You belong to me!"

Byron laughed and humored Malcolm. "Right. I forgot. I belong to him." He nuzzled Malcolm's neck and inhaled. He loved Malcolm's scent. He dragged his tongue across Malcolm's neck. "You are such a woman!"

Malcolm laughed. "Shut up!" They both laughed and finished their food.

Cash didn't know what the mate thing was but he couldn't help but just stare at the couple. His brother was with a man and looked happy. Byron just licked Malcolm's neck. What the hell was that? Was that a wolf thing? What would Tucker say?

Tucker sat down, as if on cue. "What's happening today? Do we have plans? I was talking to someone named Brad and he was talking about some rock climbing later." He stopped because he was getting a weird vibe. "What did I miss?"

"Nothing." Everyone answered.

Byron cursed. That was too suspicious. Tucker knew something was off. He was worried because he knew that Malcolm was worried. "Uh, how much do you want to know?"

Tucker stared at the Alpha. "I don't... That sounds like a loaded question. Do I want to know? Malcolm, please say you didn't sleep with half of the wolves here!"

"Only one." Malcolm smiled.

"How! We just got here? Who could you have already met? You didn't even leave the house that I could tell." Tucker stopped talking and looked at Malcolm. He was sitting very close to Byron. Malcolm knew he figured it out. "Wait.... Byron? Really?"

"Sorry." Malcolm wasn't sorry. "I was attacked and couldn't defend myself."

Byron nuzzled him. "Sure. He didn't fight too hard!" He chuckled.

Malcolm turned to his man and smiled. He turned to his brothers and glared. "You are going to have to be okay with this because it isn't changing."

Byron growled. Malcolm just sounded so stern and that turned Byron on. "You make sitting here really tough." He was turned on.

Malcolm laughed and looked down. "I'm having the same problem."

Byron growled. "Damn it." He took Malcolm's hand and dragged him back into the house and up the stairs.

"What in the hell just happened?" Tucker was still trying to figure things out.

"Well, Malcolm is Byron's mate." Emma was staring at the doorway. They all gaped after the couple.
