After putting on his coat and scarf, Sherlock follows Lily down the stairs. She takes her last bite of toast and then shrugs on her 'McFly' jacket. They make it to the bottom of the staircase, when Mrs. Hudson shuffles into the room holding a paper sack and a notepad.

  "Lily, don't forget your lunch, dearie," she says, handing her the paper sack. "Oh, and Sherlock, Detective Inspector Lestrade called for you. He wants you to meet him at this address," she adds, handing him the notepad. "He said it's not urgent, so you can still go with Lily and be there later."

  "Thank you Mrs. Hudson," the two respond simultaneously. Lily gives her a quick hug, before turning around and heading out the door. Sherlock follows and closes the door behind him. They glace around, observing the world around them, deducing everyone and everything as the walk down Baker Street.

  "Ms. Callan got a new boyfriend," Lily comments.

  "Since when do you have conversations with Ms. Callan about her love life?" Sherlock inquires, looking down to her as they walk.

  "She doesn't. But there's new flowers at her window sill, clearly not picked out by herself, and she normally doesn't get around for work 'til about nine, yet her window's open and all her lights are on," she explains. "Also there's a man with ruffled hair and lipstick on his cheek, wearing the same clothes he was last night, coming from her building." Sherlock looks across the street to see a man in his late twenties, stumbling out of Ms. Callan's building. He was wearing a cheap wrinkled suit and had a huge girn plastered across his face.

  "Very good, Lillian. You're improving," Sherlock says, smiling down at his daughter as they turn the corner.

  "Thank you." She thought for a moment, before saying, "You think Lestrade has a case for you? Is that why he called?"

  "No idea."

  Lily's high school was only a short walk away from 221B and they made it there quickly. "I'll see you after school!" Lily called as she walked away from him, disappearing into the building.
