As the bell rang for Lily's last class, her father texted her.

Pls come to Lestrade's office at Scotland Yd. as soon as your classes are over. Don't bring your nosey friend again.

  Lily quickly grabbed her things and headed for the door. "Hey! Wait for me!" Sadie calls. "We were going to go to the shopping center today, remember?"

  "Rain check. Dad needs me. Sorry Sadie," Lillian explains.

  "Oh, I'll come with you then."

  "He told me specifically not to bring you... Sorry," she says. "I promise I'll go with you to the shopping center as soon as I've got some free time. 'Kay?"

  "Okay. I'll see you tomorrow."

  "Bye Sadie!" she replies, slinging her galaxy print bookbag over her shoulder and walking to the curb, hailing a taxi. "Scotland Yard. And be quick, please," she says to the cabbie.
