"Ugh I can't do this anymore!"

Jungkook exaggeratedly whines and washes his face with his palms. The sour feeling in his eyes intensifies as he rubs it.

"Jungkook, we're just halfway through the math problems. You're giving up already?" Taehyung said as he perks his head up from the Science book he was reading.

The two boys are currently sitting on the carpeted floor of Jungkook's bedroom with books sprawled around them. Taehyung had come early to his house and so far he was actually diligent in teaching him. Jungkook on the other hand is not enjoying this one bit.

Jungkook groans at the sight of math problems laid in front of him. Why does it have to be like this? The world has more problems to deal with and adding math problems made it more complicated.

"Why aren't you answering it? I've already taught you the solution right?" Taehyung asked gently.

"Don't you dare order me what to do!" The younger just wants to throw the paper on his lap away.

"Okay sorry" Taehyung looks away and silently continues doing his own assignment in Science.

The maknae eyes the older slightly amazed at how he can study two subjects at the same time. "How did you do that?"

"What?" Taehyung asks confused.

"Nah" Jungkook dismissed and did his best to concentrate. He was halfway through the equation but he forgot about what to do with the double negatives.

"Uhm.. Hey.."

Taehyung quickly turned his attention to Jungkook. Jungkook just held the paper up to Taehyung's face and mumbled "what to do?"

The older pauses for a while and studies the paper and how the younger has gone so far. "Add the two but still the answer is negative. Remember?"

"Oh right" Jungkook scratches his head and quickly answers the questions.

You see Jungkook is not that bad, he just gotten used to being with his exboyfriend that he copies the assignments and notes from Yugyeom. He's a fast learner and he can be very smart if he wants to.

Later that day, Jungkook's mom peeks in the room and was surprised to see his son studying. Taehyung stood up and bowed down to show a sign of respect, to which Mrs. Jeon smiles at that.

"Omo my son is studying?" Jungkook's mom fake gasps.

Jungkook just scoffs and ignores her to concentrate at his work.

"And who are you?" Mrs. Jeon kindly asks Taehyung.

"I'm Kim Taehyung ma'am. I'm here to study with Jungkook." Taehyung smiles.

"Oh really? Now Jungkook finds a study buddy?"

"Of course mother. I don't want to disappoint my beloved father. He doesn't want a stupid son right?" Jungkook says in a sarcastic tone and rolls his eyes.

"Jungkook!" His mother glares at him. "Try to understand your father okay? He just wants what's best for you. Now I'll prepare snacks for you two, I'll be back!" Then she walks away to prepare food.

Jungkook's study mood suddenly drops and he slightly throws the paper away.

"You okay?" Taehyung softly says as he noticed the younger frowning. "I'm here to listen."

"None of your business." He fishes out his phone instead and sees a text message from Jimin.

Pabo hyung: hey jaykay. We're at the usual bowling place rn, and coincidentally, ur lil ex is also here wd his bf. Wanna come?

Jungkook's attention perks up at that and he suddenly stands up from his place and started to fix their study materials.

Taehyung watches him confused at his actions and just silently follows fixing their things.

"Listen, I need to go somewhere important. We can continue this next week." The maknae says not looking at Tae since he's busy styling his hair.

Well Taehyung inwardly groans and pouts slightly at that. They have just started studying in like two hours and he's going already?

They both trudge down the stairs, and while Taehyung looks around the place again in amazement (just like when he arrived earlier) because Jungkook's house is so modernly big and beautiful, the younger's mother walks up to them with a tray of sandwiches and boxed milk. Taehyung just stares at the food thinking how the sandwiches would taste and silently sighs in disappointment because he would never get the chance of eating it.

"Mom why are you carrying that? Where are the maids?" Jungkook looks to his mom in confusion as he fixes his jacket.

"I want to serve my son and his friend their food. And where are you going?" His mom asks also matching his confusion.

"Bowling."

"You done studying?"

"Yeah"

"You're also going with him Taehyung?" Mrs. Jeon turns to the silent boy.

"Uhm no ma'am." Answers Taehyung who adjusts his eyeglasses from time to time.

"Why not? I thought you're friends?"

Jungkook who was slightly irritated answers his mom, "mom, Taehyung's just here to help me study. Nothing more. I'm going with Jimin."

"Those two again? You know I really love Jiminie and Hoseokie, but I prefer you hang out with Taehyungie more. He's a good kid and also smart. You will learn a lot from him."

"Mom~ let's talk about this some other time. I need to go." Jungkook is near to whining since his mother talks like she's known Tae her whole life when in fact they just met a while ago. He walks towards the door and quickly sends a reply to Jimin a "coming".

"Hey what about the snacks?" Mrs. Jeon follows them to the front door still with the snacks at hand.

"Save it mom." Then Jungkook opens the door. He looks at Taehyung and he saw the brunette eyeing the food. "Are you going or nah?"

Taehyung snaps from his food staring and quickly bows at Mrs. Jeon and thanking her.

"Wait mom, can you put the food in a paper bag?" Jungkook asks his mother.

"Oh sure. Wait a minute. Leila! Can you get me a paper bag?" Mrs. Jeon calls out to their helper.

After packing the food, Jungkook gently grabs the bag from his mother and gives it to Taehyung. The brunette just stares at it barely realizing the situation.

The maknae slightly shakes the bag in front of the older's face to take it. "You don't want it?"

"Take it dear." Mrs. Jeon smiles and he snaps from his daze and quickly receives the bag.

"Oh thankyou so much! I'm gonna give these to my grandma." Taehyung smiles thinking that they will no longer eat left over food for dinner tonight. He bows again to Mrs. Jeon and walks out with Jungkook from the house.

"Hyung!" Taehyung once again calls his Yoongi hyung. "Hyung!"

The window to the second floor harshly opens and there appears his black haired hyung glaring. "You do know I'm sleeping right?"

"But hyung! I have something to tell you." Whisper shouts Taehyung and cutely pouts at his hyung.

"Ugh stop that! It's disgusting"

Taehyung was grinning widely but falters at his hyung's comment. He realizes he should never pout again like that, maybe he really looks disgusting. He mentally notes it to himself.

"Hey what are you thinking?"

Taehyung notices Yoongi had come out of his house and is moving to sit on their usual cold pavement. He just shrugs.

"Yah I know that look Kim! How many times do I need to tell you that you don't have to feel inferior about yourself. You know truly well I was just kidding." Yoongi added as he feels a little guilty.

Taehyung nods slowly and tries to smile again. "I know hyung."

"Now tell me what happened." Yoongi asks then yawns after.

"Well, we studied math-"

"Don't you have anything cool to say than you two studying math?" Yoongi interrupts sounding annoyed.

"But we did study math." Taehyung answers slightly flabbergasted.

"What a boring way to spend the day." Yoongi yawns again.

"It's not boring you know, especially when Jeon Jungkook is sitting near you. And he really looked cute when he concentrates!" Taehyung retorts back dreamily.

Yoongi just tried to control not to roll his eyes in front of the excited boy.

"Yeah right. And then? What math topic did you discuss? Did you talk about your favorite formula in Physics? Or did you teach him the fingers trick on how to multiply by 9?"

"Hyung what the eff?"

Yoongi laughs at his friend's face. The dude can't even swear straight.

"Okay I'm listening.."

So Yoongi finally listens to Taehyung, just like the good friend he is.
