Days passed and examinations are near, Jungkook and Taehyung became busy. Taehyung is putting extra effort in studying (for both exams and the quiz bee) and Jungkook, on the other hand, is back at practicing football. The handsome raven head was finally permitted to join the next football match since he had improved at his grades. Both boys still meet during Sundays though and they would study throughout the day. Jungkook would let Taehyung play video games with him after or talk and laugh at random things to pass time.
They became closer and Jungkook no longer finds the nerdy boy annoying and the latter is thankful for that. The younger one makes him happy and Taehyung wonders if he feels the same. Nevertheless, Taehyung is still thankful to be this close to the younger.
Now most of the students in campus are gradually believing their little show, and a few of them are shipping the two. With Taehyung's improved looks partnered to Jungkook, they seem to accept the fact that they are in a relationship. Surely, the contact lenses made Taehyung's eye sight ten times better, but the brunette still misses his glasses and he still puts it on when they are not in action.
There are still a few who could not accept their relationship though. These are the people who had been admiring Jungkook from afar and waited for their chance but was only broken by the geek. Jonghyun is one of them, and they would glare at Taehyung from afar and are again waiting for their chance, but this time, as Taehyung would think, their chance to kill him.
Yugyeom seemed mad about this too. He does not throw insulting remarks to Jungkook anymore and the smirk he has on his face seemed to disappear. He would also glare at Taehyung when he passes by them and ignores Jackson talking. If Taehyung didn't knew he has a boyfriend, he would think he's one of Jonghyun's minions too.
The bonding date really helped a lot to their situation. Even though their acting is not perfect, they would still be mistaken as a couple. Taehyung now seems to be bolder in his actions and doesn't hesitate to do things that would surprise the younger. Taehyung himself is surprised. He just can't say no to those doe eyes and thin kissable lips.
Kissable? Really? Taehyung snorts. He doesn't realize that his feelings are becoming intense and is shown at his actions.
One time, Hoseok told them that he thinks they are succeeding since Yugyeom looked a bit pissed. Their cheerful friend advised to continue their game until Yugyeom would burst and go run back to Jungkook, and they would live happily ever after. Taehyung, of course, felt uncomfortable upon hearing that and felt like his heart weighed a ton, so he avoided Jungkook's eyes and averted his gaze somewhere, only to find Hoseok looking at him skeptically. The brunette shrugged and continued reading his History book, that in reality, he'd been reading the same paragraph at least five times already.
Now Taehyung, Jimin, and Hoseok are sitting at the bleachers waiting for Jungkook to finish practice since they agreed to eat at the diner. The two friends noticed a towel on the brunette's lap and a bottle of water at his side. The brunette opened a book to study(?) but then, they would notice how the other's eyes would never leave the running raven head. Taehyung's head would move left and right, to follow Jungkook's actions, while the book is still open in front of him.
Oblivious to the two observing him, Taehyung secretly gulps as he eyes Jungkook's body covered with sweat. The raven hair wet and slightly messy and the pale skin glittering from the light of the sun. He wonders how simply kicking a ball or running can be that interesting to watch when its Jeon Jungkook.
He remembered the conversation he had with Yoongi last night. He had asked his hyung some tips on how to make your crush feel loved. Yoongi had several answers actually and Taehyung was surprised how Yoongi had learned about this. He didn't had the chance to ask about it.
Jimin finally sneaks in to what Taehyung was reading, only to muffle his laugh when he discovered the book was stupidly held upside down. Taehyung turned to the two laughing. "Yes?"
"Ah, nothing nothing. Just continue reading." Jimin said still grinning.
Taehyung nodded and pretended to read his book again but then he realized the letters are upside down. He quickly turned the book to proper position and face palmed. So this is why Jimin and Hoseok are laughing.
The practice was over in less than an hour and Jungkook immediately jogged towards them. Taehyung was already on his feet, a towel at his right hand and a bottle of water at the other. The voice of Yoongi last night started to ring in his head.
One. Take care of him. You could either feed him or wipe his face or straighten his collar.
Taehyung took a deep breath.
"Are you tired?"
Jungkook smiled. "Not really."
"Aigoo. You're all sweaty. Here drink this." Taehyung attempted to feed Jungkook the water, but the latter stops him.
"I can do it Tae." Jungkook continued to smile and gently grabbed the bottle and he started to drink it.
Taehyung stared again. Now he's staring at the raven haired boy's sweaty neck. How drops of sweat rolled teasingly down at his neck, and how his Adam's apple bobs up and down as he gulps down the lucky water. He concluded that the droplets of sweat are so rude, so without thinking, he started to wipe Jungkook's neck and face. He then walked behind Jungkook and inserts his hand with the towel and wipes at the younger's back.
"Hey hey, what are you doing?" Jungkook quickly moved away.
"I'm wiping your sweat. Don't move." Taehyung said.
"What the?" Jungkook now was completely out of Taehyung's grasp. He glanced at his two bestfriends who are laughing uncontrollably and some of the players watching them. He caught a glimpse of Yugyeom staring again.
Taehyung, who suddenly realized what he had done, retracted his hands. "Y-you don't like it?"
Jungkook took the towel from Taehyung's grasp and started to wipe his arms. "It's just embarrassing that you're the one wiping my sweat."
"It's not a problem to me, Kookie. I-i thought a good boyfriend does this?" Taehyung then softly gasps as he realized that he called the younger Kookie.
Jungkook just shrugged and jogged back to their locker rooms to change. And Taehyung felt worried that Jungkook got mad at his actions. He can't take a cold Jungkook again.
When Jungkook finished changing, he went back to the place where his friends are. Taehyung immediately apologized at what he did.
"Sorry. I'm really sorry Jungkook. I won't do it again." Taehyung almost pleads, his eyes started to tear up.
Jungkook looked at Taehyung and he realized he might have left the brunette upset. "What are you sorry for Tae?"
"F-for wiping your sweat and calling you Kookie. I swear I would never do that again." Taehyung's voice started to shake.
Jungkook pulled Taehyung into a hug and the confused brunette hugged back. "Hey don't be upset. I'm not mad. I was just kinda not used to the feeling of someone wiping my sweat."
Taehyung nodded his head and stayed like that. He discovered how he loved Jungkook's hugs, so he buried his head deeper to the raven head's neck and held even tighter.
"Tae?"
"Hmm?" Taehyung hummed blissfully.
"You can let go now, Yugyeom's gone." Jungkook whispered in the brunette's ear.
Taehyung felt his heart drop and snapped his eyes open. He slowly let go, already missing the warmth of Jungkook. He glanced at Jimin and Hoseok and the two weren't laughing anymore but watching carefully. The four of them then started to walk out of the school premises.
"You mean, even Yugyeom never did that to you?" Taehyung asked softly.
Jungkook glanced at the boy and shrugged. "Nope. That's too teenager for us."
"But boyfriends should help you wipe your sweat. Its one way of showing you care." Taehyung said slightly frowning.
"Where did you learn that?" Jungkook raised a brow.
"Uh.. I-i watched it from a movie before." Taehyung blushed. He can't tell Jungkook about Yoongi's advices.
Jungkook seemed to believe him and grinned. "You watch those cheesy rom-coms?"
Taehyung looked away. "Uh yeah. I like watching those. You don't like them?"
"You kidding me? Come here I'll tell you a secret." Taehyung stepped closer to hear what Jungkook is going to say. "I've watched 50 First Dates like fifty times too."
"No way!" Both boys laughed and talked more about movies, not even noticing the two other boys, Jimin and Hoseok, still watching them in amusement.
Hoseok cleared his throat, catching the couple's attention. "Jimin and I forgot we have dance practice at 6. We can't go with you."
"What? I thought it's tomo-" Jimin was cut off automatically by Hoseok's hand clasped on his mouth.
"We need to get going. Enjoy you two!" Then Hoseok grabbed Jimin's arm and dragged him away, leaving the two boys standing there.
They stared at each other confused, then both shrugged and continued walking.
"Hey Tae, lately I've been thinking about it.." Jungkook started again.
"W-what are you thinking?" Taehyung gulps. He hasn't had any idea if its good or bad the maknae is going to tell him. He just wish it would be good.
"Uhm. Since I call you Tae or TaeTae. It's okay if you want to call me Kookie."
Taehyung stared at him for a moment, eyes wide and couldn't believe what he was hearing. He searched his face if he was kidding. And nope, Kookie is not kidding at all.
