Taehyung walks slowly through the campus hallways. It was morning and Taehyung got to school early. He had enough time to walk in a slow pace and admire the surroundings. As he reached his classroom, he was broken out from his silent walk when he felt a shove on his shoulder causing for him to stumble backwards.

Still in shock, Taehyung stared wide eyed to the one who caused it. And he was pretty surprised he's one of his classmates actually. His name, as Taehyung recalls, is Jonghyun?

"Hey geek, is it true?" Jonghyun's eyes piercingly glares at the poor boy.

"W-w-what?" Taehyung stutters out and students that were surrounding them started to laugh at his pathetic state.

"Don't play innocent now you little fucker. Everyone knows it already."

"I-i don't know what you're talking about." Taehyung looks down and started to walk inside the room but was yanked back out instead.

He yelps at the sudden force on his arm caused by that Jonghyun guy and students again laughed.

Jonghyun took something out of his pocket and Taehyung looks at it immediately when it was displayed in front of his face. The brunette again widens his eyes at the picture.

It was a photo of him and a raven haired man, faces so close to each other. It was taken at a familiar place. The Jeon residence. Students might think something was going on in the picture, but in reality, Taehyung knows exactly what happened. It was a complete opposite of their assumption. He tried not to panic at the scenario but his mind is a complete mess.

Does Jungkook knows about this? Is he mad? Probably. Is this why the students have gone much more aggressive in messing up with him? Did they think the geek and the handsome raven head are together?

"Care to explain this?" The brunette snapped from his thoughts and was pulled by the collar by Jonghyun. "What did you do to be with Jungkook huh?"

A student from the crowd answered, "he probably seduced Jungkook like the slut he is."

"I doubt Jungkook would be seduced by that face." Says another.

"Jungkook is probably mad and ashamed of him right now." And another.

Jonghyun smirks at the poor nerd and speaks which made Taehyung shake a little bit.

"I bet Jungkook wants to punish this kid. I could do the honor for him." He smirks once again and lifts his fist ready to punch Taehyung. The brunette boy squeezes his eyes shut on instinct and just waits for the blow to hit his face.

"Fuck off"

Taehyung flinched at the sudden voice from behind him, and tentatively opens his eyes. He is more than surprised to see Jeon Jungkook standing close to him and is apparently glaring at Jonghyun.

"What? Are you challenging me?" Jungkook adds as he noticed Jonghyun and the students were frozen at their spots.

"But Jungkook, I thought you hate this geek?" Jonghyun said softly, still a bit shocked from the sudden appearance of the handsome raven head. He slowly lowers his hands at his side.

"Why don't you just listen to me and fuck off? Maybe do you want me to hate you too? And instead of dwelling your sorry ass to rumors of Taehyung and me dating, why don't you concentrate on other gossips? For example, you Jonghyun, I heard you still drink milk secretly during lunch time, let's your mother pour some baby powder and put towel on your back and sucks on your thumb to sleep." Jungkook nonstop rambles and Jonghyun turns red when other students laugh at the revelation. Jonghyun is one of the bullies in school and acts like a tough guy who scares weak students away.

"Maybe you still let your nanny feed you with airplane sounds." Jungkook continues to embarrass him, but he feels this guy needs a lesson to learn.

Jonghyun turns red even more if its even possible. He harshly lets go of Taehyung, making the latter fall unto Jungkook and the ravenette catching him. Taehyung blushes at the contact.

Jonghyun turns to Jungkook with a forced rudeness. Jungkook knows this good for nothing bully will not do anything to him since he knows the guy also has a crush on him.

"Listen here, if you do not know yet, I'm helping you get rid of this stupid geeky bitch." Jonghyun tries to reason with the handsome raven head while pointing at Taehyung.

"You listen here too." Jungkook flares his nostrils in frustration. "Its not your fucking business ok? And what is it to you if we're dating? Because hell yes! We are dating!"

Taehyung froze at his spot. Eyes wide open at what he heard.

Jonghyun isn't any better, his jaw dropped. Its like it can drop to the floor any minute now.

The students around stood silent and stared at them.

Everyone is silent.

Even the trees, the chairs, the hallways.

Everything is eerily quiet. You can hear a pin drop to the floor.

"WHAT ARE YOU ALL STILL DOING HERE? EVERYONE GET INSIDE THE CLASSROOMS NOW OR DETENTION!" It was the voice of Mrs. Lee, their oblivious Science teacher who broke the eery silence.

Everyone snapped from their frozen state and started moving and buzzing around to find their respective classrooms, including Jonghyun who looked pissed. Everyone except Jungkook and Taehyung.

They both stood still with different feelings. One with regret of what he recklessly declared, the other one with butterflies blooming in his stomach and a racing heart that he was afraid he could have a heart problem.

"Kim and Jeon didn't you hear what I said?" Mrs. Lee called out to the two remaining students. The two looked at their teacher dumbly and still did not move. Classes should have started by now.

Mrs. Lee arched a brow at the two and thinks they are being silly. "You two detention after classes."

Taehyung groans in his seat. He can't believe this. This is his first and he just can't accept this. In his years studying at this school, he never got this kind of punishment because he wants to keep a clean record and does not want his Granny to be disappointed. But well, when did life took his side?

He's in detention now for one hour with the Jeon Jungkook, and he would be late for work. He just prays Seokjin would understand him, and he knows his boss would. The other male sits at his seat beside him while secretly fidgeting.

Their detention started just 5 minutes ago and Jungkook looked like he wanted to tell Taehyung something. But the nerdy boy being afraid to be scolded again for talking to him, remains quiet. He patiently waits for the guy sitting beside him to initiate the talking, that is if he wants to.

Sure he was still shocked about what the raven head declared in front of many students. He was blown away by how the said male defended him, let alone saying they were dating. He wasn't expecting any of that to happen, but it seems that Jungkook doesn't want to talk about it yet so he let it be.

The whole day, Jungkook tried to interact with him. Showing students that what he said was real. He was kinda stiff though, since its obvious he's just acting it. Taehyung, still as confused as ever, never left his seat and observed Jungkook.

So far, Jungkook has moved his armchair closer to Taehyung. He brushes the latter's fringes whenever a student looks their way. And he even brought him lunch! In normal occasions, Taehyung would've been so happy to have a full meal, but he was too busy being overwhelmed and giddy at the younger's actions, at the same time a slight suspicion in it. In all of that, Taehyung didn't say anything.

Jungkook clears his throat suddenly, breaking the deafening silence surrounding them. He looked defeated from his inner turmoil and finally faced the brunette.

"Look, I know you're confused and all, but don't take all of this in a serious way. A-and I have another deal to offer you." Jungkook said not looking at the other.

Taehyung patiently waits for the other to continue. He's still suspicious as to why the other was suddenly nice to him.

"You probably know our dating rumor circulating around the school. Right?"

Taehyung nods his head and still waits.

"Well, as you can see, students won't easily give up on that. Since that stupid picture had quickly spread online, I suggest we can make it into a reality." Jungkook said nonchalantly.

Taehyung looked at him as if he had grown two heads. What does he mean by reality?

As if reading the brunette's mind, Jungkook quickly added, "now don't get your hopes up, it will just be an act. We act like boyfriends in front of everyone, that's all."

"W-why should we do this?"

"Well, me and my friends are planning to get Yugyeom back to me, you know my ex, and we found this opportunity to maybe make him jealous. That way, he will think that he's being replaced and pretty sure he will regret ever breaking up with me."

Taehyung felt something squeeze in his chest. So it's all about Yugyeom. "What makes you think that he will get jealous over me? I'm just a geek here."

"To be honest, he doesn't like you. So, seeing me with you, would probably piss him off, hopefully."

Taehyung adjusted his glasses and felt unsure of their situation. He doesn't know what to say.

"I'll now pay you 30 dollars, including the tutorial sessions. Now we don't need to hide anymore and we'll just put on a lovely act."

"A-are you sure about this Jungkook?"

Jungkook sighs. He was just doing what his friends told him, and he trusts them. He nodded. "At the end of it, I can get Yugyeom, and you can get the money. And being with me throughout the process will be a great bonus. So will you agree?"

Taehyung is close to agreeing since he could be with Jungkook, even just temporarily. The way the younger asks him this time is way different and nicer than the last one, with matching puppy eyes and pouty lips, who would say no to that?

And if it could make the latter happy, then maybe its not bad to go with it, right? Taehyung is happy if the younger is happy.

He doesn't care about the payment actually. All his mind could focus is to help Jungkook. Maybe this time, he could gain a friend, his trust, and his love too?

Now what am I thinking?! Taehyung internally scolds himself.

Taehyung lets out a heavy breath. He looks at the maknae's handsome face and felt mesmerized again. And for the second time the raven head asked him something, he agrees.

"Okay."
