Your First Concert (Bonus Chapter)
The Beatles and I still remained friends for quite a while.
And now it was time for my first concert.
Well, actually, it was a Beatles concert.
But they wanted me to perform in it.
The night of the show.
I was getting ready.
I brushed my hair, curled it, put on my make up and jewelry and finally, put on my beautiful dress and shoes.
I looked in the mirror and spun around.
"I can't believe this is really happening. I'm going to perform in concert with the Beatles." I said to myself
But all of a sudden, negative thoughts appeared.
"What if I mess up? What if I sing the wrong note? What if I lose track of the song? What if I mess them up? Oh jeez what am I going to do?"
I sat down, wrapping my arms around myself, and began tearing up a bit.
Meanwhile, the Beatles were dressed in their Abbey Road outfits.
They heard a knock on their dressing room door.
The stage manager walked in.
"Beg your pardon, boys. But it seems that (Your name) has a touch of stage fright." He told them.
They looked at each other and went to my dressing room.
Paul knocked on the door.
"Kitten, it's us. May we come in?" He asked.
"Yes." I said.
They walked in and crowded around me.
"What's the matter, dove?" John asked.
"This is my first concert and I don't want to mess it up. I want everything to be perfect. But I can't be perfect." I said, with tears falling from my eyes.
Ringo handed me a tissue.
"You're right. Your not perfect. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes." He said.
"Right. We have made a few mistakes in concerts too. But we just keep going and the audience never suspects a thing. Besides, even if you make a mistake, we will still love you. So will your family and friends. They'll be watching you on TV. And they will be proud of you no matter what." George said, holding my hand.
I wiped away my tears and smiled.
"Thank you boys." I said.
"No problem. Now stand up and lets see how you look." Paul said.
I stood up, straightened my dress and spun around.
"You look stunning." Paul said.
"Breathtaking." George said.
"Lovely." Ringo said.
"Beautiful." John said.
"Thank you." I said.
They went backstage.
I was the show opener, intermission entertainment and closer.
We all stepped out onstage.
Ringo held my hand, leading me to the microphone.
"Hello, everyone. This is our good friend, (Your full name) and she will be opening and closing the show. As well as your intermission entertainment. We all know you will love her as much as we do." He said into the mic.
He went to his drum set.
I took a deep breath.
The boys started to play and I began to sing.
This is one of my favorite songs by Carrie Underwood. It's a true masterpiece

He said I've been where you've been before
Down every hallway's a slammin' door
No way out, no one to come and save me
Wastin' a life that the Good Lord gave you
Then somebody said what I'm sayin' to you
Open my eyes and told me the truth
He said: just a little faith and it'll all get better
So I followed that preacher man down to the river
And now I'm changed
And now I'm stronger
There must've been somethin' in the water
Oh there must've been somethin' in the water
Well I heard what he said and I went on my way
Didn't think about it for a couple of days
Then it hit me like a lightnin' late one night
I was all out of hope, and all out of fight
Couldn't fight back my tears so I fell on my knees
Sayin' God if you're there come and rescue me
Felt all pourin' down from above
Got washed in the water, washed in the blood
And now I'm changed
And now I'm stronger
There must be somethin' in the water
Oh there must be somethin' in the water
And now I'm singin: all along to Amazin' Grace
Can't nobody wipe this smile off my face
Got joy in my heart, angels on my side
Thinkin' about it, I saw the heart gonna look ahead
No turnin' back, man everyday, give it all that I have
Trusted someone bigger than me
Ever since the day that I believed I am changed
And now I'm stronger
There must be been somethin' in the water
Oh there must be somethin' in the water
Oh there must be somethin' in the water
Oh there must be somethin' in the water
Oh yeah. I am stronger, stronger
There now I see
Everyone was amazed by the sound of my voice.
My parents were equally shocked as they watched me on TV.
Because this time I had more passion, more strength.
The song ended and I took a bow.
The crowd cheered.
I smiled at the crowd and then I smiled back at the boys.
Paul stepped up to the mic.
"Let's give (Your name) another round of applause." He said.
The crowd applauded again.
I took another bow.
I stepped off the stage to get ready for the intermission performance.
As I got ready, I listened to the Beatles play their songs.
They are still brilliant together after all these years.
They sang...

Hey Jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.
Hey Jude, don't be afraid.
You were made to go out and get her.
The minute you let her under your skin,
Then you begin to make it better.
And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain,
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder.
Hey Jude, don't let me down.
You have found her, now go and get her.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.
So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin,
You're waiting for someone to perform with.
And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you'll do,
The movement you need is on your shoulder.
Hey Jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her under your skin,
Then you'll begin to make it
Better better better better better better, oh.
Na na na nananana, nannana, hey Jude...

Oh yeah, I'll tell you somethin'
I think you'll understand
When I say that somethin'
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
Oh please, say to me
You'll let me be your man
And please, say to me
You'll let me hold your hand
Now, let me hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
And when I touch you
I feel happy inside
It's such a feelin' that my love
I can't hide
I can't hide
I can't hide
Yeah, you got that somethin'
I think you'll understand
When I say that somethin'
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
And when I touch you
I feel happy inside
It's such a feelin' that my love
I can't hide
I can't hide
I can't hide
Yeah, you got that somethin'
I think you'll understand
When I feel that somethin'
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand

When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be, be
And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me
Shinin' until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Intermission came along.
I was dressed up to sing one of their songs.
Outfit is in the video
So, the boys rested and watched me perform.
I began to sing and dance for the crowd.

It's been a hard day's night, and I'd been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I work all day to get you money to buy you things
And it's worth it just to hear you say
You're going to give me everything
So why on earth should I moan, cos when I get you alone
You know I feel OK
When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
It's been a hard day's night, and I'd been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright oww
So why on earth should I moan, cos when I get you alone
You know I feel OK
When I'm home everything seems to be right
When I'm home feeling you holding me tight, tight, yeah
It's been a hard day's night, and I'd been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright
You know I feel alright
You know I feel alright
Everyone clapped along to the beat, including the boys.
When I finished, I took another bow.
The crowd cheered.
As I walked backstage, the boys walked by, each of them giving me a compliment.
"Excellent work." Paul said.
"Brilliant." John said.
"Wonderful." Ringo said.
"Amazing." George said.
I smiled and went back to my dressing room to get ready for the closing number.
I continued to listen to the concert.
They sang...

Here comes the sun do, do, do
Here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun do, do, do
Here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun do, do, do
Here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun do, do, do
Here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Here comes the sun do, do, do
Here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Picture yourself in a boat on a river
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes
Cellophane flowers of yellow and green
Towering over your head
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes
And she's gone
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Ah
Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain
Where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies
Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers
That grow so incredibly high
Newspaper taxis appear on the shore
Waiting to take you away
Climb in the back with your head in the clouds
And you're gone
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Ah
Picture yourself on a train in a station
With plasticine porters with looking glass ties
Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile
The girl with the kaleidoscope eyes
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Ah
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Ah
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
And of course, the song they wrote for me.

Hello little girl
Hello little girl
Hello little girl
When I see you everyday
I say, "Mm mm hello little girl"
When you're passing on your way
I say, "Mm mm hello little girl"
When I see you passing by
I cry, "Mm mm hello little girl"
When I try to catch your eye
I cry, "Mm mm hello little girl"
I send you flowers but you don't care
You never seem to see me standing there
I often wonder what you're thinking of
I hope it's me and love love love
So I hope there'll come a day
When you'll say, "Mm you're my little girl"
It's not the first time that it's happened to me,
It's been a long lonely time
And it's funny funny to see that I'm about to lose my mind mind mind
So I hope there'll come a day
When you say, "Mm mm
You're my little girl, mm mm mm
You're my little girl, mm mm mm"
You're my little girl, oh yeah
You're my little girl
Do do do do do
I smiled as I listened to the songs.
I was finally ready for the closing number.
I looked in the mirror.
"Well, this is it. Let's do this." I said.
I went backstage.
The boys were waiting there to wish me luck.
"You look incredible." Paul said.
"Gorgeous." John said.
"Beautiful." Ringo said.
"Angelic." George said.
"Thank you all. Well, wish me luck." I said.
"Break a leg." They all said together.
I stepped on the stage.
The crowd was silent.
I took a deep breath and began to sing.
I always loved Irish Gaelic music. That's why I chose this song for the finale

Of all the money that e'er I had
I spent it in good company
And all the harm I've ever done
Alas, it was to none but me
And all I've done for want of wit
To memory now I can't recall
So fill to me the parting glass
Good night and joy be to you all
So fill to me the parting glass
And gather as the evening falls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
Of all the comrades that e'er I had
They're sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts that e'er I had
They'd wish me one more day to stay
But since it fell into my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
Fill to me the parting glass
And gather as the evening falls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
La ra la ra la la
La lala lala la la
La ra lala la la
La la la lala la la
But since it fell into my lot
That I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
*the boys join in*
Fill to me the parting glass
And gather as the evening falls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
Fill to me the parting glass
And gather as the evening falls
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you all
Good night and joy be to you all
Just in the second to last chorus, the boys came onstage singing along.
They all stood next to me.
We all wrapped our arms around each other as we sang the last line.
"Good night and joy be to you all."
The crowd went nuts.
They cheered and clapped and whistled.
The five of us took a bow.
Then each of them gave me a hug and a kiss.
I teared up in happiness.
Paul handed you the microphone to say goodnight.
"Thank you all for coming. It was an honor to perform for all of you and an even greater honor to perform with the Beatles. We all love you. Oh and I would like to say hello to my mom and dad and siblings, as well as all my friends back home and at (Name of University)." I blew a kiss to the camera. "As the song says, Good night and joy be to you all." I said.
The crowd cheered.
My first concert.
Finally achieved.
When we all went to the limo, all we could talk about was what a great concert it was.
"I'd say that was our best concert ever." Paul said.
"I agree." John said.
"And we know who to thank for it." Ringo said.
"Our little angel." George said, wrapping his arm around me.
I smiled and blushed.
"You know, your also the reason we stayed together." Paul said.
"I am?" I asked.
"Yes. We almost broke up. I suppose you already knew that." John said.
I nodded.
"But we just kept thinking about you and we knew we could power through any fight, argument or just anything because of you." Ringo said.
"We knew we would see you again. And we wanted to stay together until that day. We are all a family and you don't turn your back on family." George said.
"Well, your all family to me too." I said.
We all group hugged.
"I love you all." I said.
"We love you too." They said.
From that day, I kept touring with the Beatles.
We were all inseparable.
This may be the end of the story, but the end is always the beginning.
