A Proper Goodbye

Through the day, the boys asked me to wait in my room.

I did so and started making gifts for them.

That night, I heard a knock at my door.

I opened it and there were the boys.

"We're ready." Paul said.

We all went to the sitting room and I found their instruments there.

"Are you boys going to play something?" I asked.

"We will. Later though. First, we have something to give you." John said.

They handed me a small box.

I opened it and inside was a beautiful gold locket with little purple flowers.

"Oh my gosh. It's beautiful." I said.

"Open it." George said.

I opened it up and there was a picture of all of us the day of that photo shoot.

I smiled and teared up.

"Thank you, boys. I'll treasure it forever." I said.

Paul helped me put it on.

"How does it look?" I asked them.

"Beautiful." Paul said.

"Lovely." Ringo said.

"Stunning." George said.

"Gorgeous." John said.

"I actually have something for you boys too." I said.

I went to my room and grabbed their gifts.

I held them up for them to see.

They were four handwoven bracelets.

"I made them myself." I said.

They each took one and put it on their wrists.

They all gave me a hug.

"We will never take them off." Paul said.

"Promise?" I asked.

"Cross our hearts." They say together.

We all had a cup of tea together and spoke of all the fun times we had this past year.

Well, it hasn't been a year.

But it has been a while.

I laughed and had a good time.

It was nearly midnight.

"(Your first name) We do have one last surprise for you." Paul said.

"Oh? What is it?" I asked.

"We wrote this for you." Ringo said.

They all started playing and singing.

Hello little girl

Hello little girl

Hello little girl

When I see you everyday

I say, "Mm mm hello little girl"

When you're passing on your way

I say, "Mm mm hello little girl"

When I see you passing by

I cry, "Mm mm hello little girl"

When I try to catch your eye

I cry, "Mm mm hello little girl"

I send you flowers but you don't care

You never seem to see me standing there

I often wonder what you're thinking of

I hope it's me and love love love

So I hope there'll come a day

When you'll say, "Mm you're my little girl"

It's not the first time that it's happened to me,

It's been a long lonely time

And it's funny funny to see that I'm about to lose my mind mind mind

So I hope there'll come a day

When you say, "Mm mm

You're my little girl, mm mm mm

You're my little girl, mm mm mm"

You're my little girl, oh yeah

You're my little girl

Do do do do do

I joined my hands together in a praying hand gesture, and teared up.

I was so moved and flattered that the Beatles wrote a song about me.

When they finished, I applauded.

"That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me. Thank you so much." I said.

"It was our pleasure, love." John said.

"Now, we were wondering, would it be too much to ask if you sing us one last song?" Paul asked.

"Oh not at all. I'd be happy to." I said.

The boys took a seat and I went to the microphone.

I took a deep breath and started singing.

I loved Emmy Rossum in Phantom of the Opera. And I love her old fashion music performances as well.

Gonna take a sentimental journey

Gonna set my heart at ease

Gonna take a sentimental journey

To renew old memories

Got my bag and got my reservation

Spent each dime I could afford

Like a child in wild anticipation

Long to hear that "All aboard!"

Seven, that's the time we leave, at seven

I'll be waitin' up for heaven

Countin' every mile of railroad track

That takes me back

Never thought my heart could be so yearny

Why did I decide to roam?

Gonna take a sentimental journey

Sentimental journey home

Sentimental journey

When I came to the end of the song, I began to tear up.

"What's the matter, love?" Paul asked.

"I'm sorry. I just wish this wasn't the end." I said, crying.

"Oh it's not the end, love. This is only the beginning. I'm sure we will see you in the future." John said.

I began to cry more because I knew I wasn't going to see John and George.

John died way before I was born and George died when I was very little.

I thought maybe if I told them, they could prevent it from happening.

"John, George. If I tell you this, maybe it will save your lives. In the future, you both die young. John, you get shot by a fan in 1980. And George, you get lung cancer in 2001." I told them.

They were shocked.

"I didn't want to tell you, because I thought it would change time and affect the future. But I love you guys so much, knowing could save yourselves." I said.

"Well, if that's what will happen, it will have to happen or we could be careful." John said.

"I agree. We will be careful." George said.

"What about Paul and I?" Ringo asked.

"Well, your both fine. I mean, you were still alive in my time and you both still have your music careers. John and George do too until the end." I said.

"That's great." Paul said.

We all joined in a group hug.

"We will miss you terribly. But we do hope to see you again, even when we are all old men." Ringo said.
