It had been two weeks since the Gararagator incident.

Kimiko had just closed up the restaurant for the day as the last of her employees said goodbye.

The next day was a day off, so Kimiko figured she could go over to the Gourmet Wholesale market.

She and Empoleon went around to find what they can get for the restaurant, as she heard a commotion.

"I dare you to say that again!"

"Fine then! This Fishtachio's mouth is open, meaning it's gone bad! My viewers won't be impressed with this!" A newscast woman in pink argues with a vendor.

As they continued their banter a voice popped up...

"That you, Kimiko?"

The girl in question turned to see.....

"Toriko! Been a while."
"Empo!" Empoleon nodded.

They saw Toriko was carrying a shakurenodon, possibly to sell it.

"I caught this and brought it here to sell wholesale." Toriko said as he dropped the beast on the ground.

"Impressive."

"Woah, isn't that a Shakurenodon?!" The newscast woman exclaimed, "The Pterosaur Beast, Capture Level 4! And the one carrying it is the charismatic Gourmet Hunter, Toriko! And he has a friend with a never-before-seen creature! What a bowlful of delicious news!" She gave a grin as she ran up to Toriko. "You're Toriko, aren't you? I'm Tina." she introduced herself as she held the microphone in front of him.

"Huh?"

"Miss, are you a friend of Toriko's?" She asked Kimiko.

"Uh..." Kimiko said uncomfortable

"Kruppoh!" a yellow round pigeon flew up to the newscaster.

"This is my Carrier Balloon Pigeon, Kruppoh." she motioned at her bird, "Meeting Toriko is a large serving... no, an extra-large serving of luck! I'm a Gourmet Newscaster for 'Gourmet TV.' We introduce ingredients from all over the world. Please, Toriko, let me interview you and your friend for our program!"

Before she could get any words from him Johannes put his hand on the microphone and took it away from her. Empoleon also shielded Kimiko at this time.

"Interviews must go through proper channels." he said as he motioned for the rest of his men to remove her.

"Hey... What?!" Tina exclaimed as more men in suits ushered her away from Toriko and Kimiko.

"IGO!" the camera director exclaimed as the news crew looked at Johannes.

"Indeed, I am the IGO's Foodstuff Development Department Chief, Johannes" the man introduced himself.

"Let's call it quits Tina." the director said.

"Huh? Why!" Tina yelled.

"It's the International Gourmet Organization. The interview isn't happening" he explained.

"But Toriko's okay with it, right?!" The men in suits then grabbed Tina and dragged her away as she yelled complaints.

"You have to do that? Not that i approve of the media's methods but..." Kimiko said.

"If the media got wind of this, it could be troublesome" Johannes turned to Toriko. "Toriko-san, I'm lucky I found you. I have a job that I'd like to offer you."

"Huh? Doesn't the IGO have tons of private Gourmet Hunters? You don't need me" Toriko said waving off Johannes request.

"The Rainbow Fruit are ripe." Johannes said.

"What?!" Toriko said interested.

"Rainbow Fruit? Isnt that the fruit with seven different changing flavors based on temperature and humidity? It's said they can turn swimming pool water into nectar and are worth five hundred million. But I thought they were extinct..." Kimiko said quietly.

"Well, in nature, no." Johannes said.

"Ah, one of the IGO'S science projects?" Toriko asks.

"Ah, selective breeding..." Kimiko muttered.

"But we have a problem. Troll Kongs nest near the tree where the fruit grows. We tried even tanks, but they were flipped like toy trucks, and they are capture level 9." Johannes explained.

"What? The Gararagator was level 8!" Kimiko said surprised.

Toriko smiled. "The fruit sounds tempting. I'll go."

Kimiko shrugged as she turned to Empoleon. "Guess that's our cue to leave too. Good luck, Toriko."

But Toriko turned to Kimiko. "Hey, you wanna tag along too? As a thanks for helping me with the Gararagator."

Kimiko paused at that.

"Toriko-san, why ask a civilian-" Johannes said when Toriko answered.

"She helped me before, I think she can help me again. You dont have a problem. Right?" He smiled.

Kimiko sighed. "Alright, I'm coming along."

Kimiko was just staring at the passing scenery on the way to the Biotope as Toriko ate some Salmon Roe Grapes.

She had her own snack, eating some fruit sandwiches.

Toriko kept eyeing the sandwiches, drooling a bit as the smell was sweet.

"Here." Kimiko said giving him the rest of the box as it had two left.

He quickly ate them and hummed in bliss.

"Mmm! The mix of Banana cucumber, figcrystal, and oranjam gives a refreshing sweet yet acute sour flavor that wakes you up. Delicious!"

"Glad you liked it."

Finally,

"Whoa! That's a huge gate!" Kimiko said as they all arrived at a stone gate.

"Biotope 8, or The Garden, flora and fauna live freely within its walls." Johannes explained.

"The IGO researches gourmet animals' behavior and such in here" Toriko told her.

"I see" Kimiko said.

"Gochisousama desu, Toriko-sama" the two guards at the gate greeted.

"Don't use that greeting. I haven't gotten you anything to eat" Toriko said, nobody noticing a red motorcycle standing beside a gigantic rock.

It was Tina with Kruppoh flying right next to her determined to get a scoop.

BOOM! BOOM!

"Whoa! Was that...?" Kimiko guessed as she looked up to the gray sky as she got Empoleon out.

"It's drumming" Toriko stated.
"It's an act of intimidation that's characteristic of gorillas." he responded.

"If I recall, that's a way to say, 'Get lost!'" Kimiko said.

"We just got word, a Troll Kong is spotted at the gate." one of the gate guards said.

"You can hear it even with this thick wall? It must be BIG." Kimiko said surprised.

"The king of the garden is basically telling me to stay out. But never mind, open up." Toriko told the guards.

"Sorry, according to regulations, while a wild beast is within 5 kilometers of the gate, we cannot open it." The guard said.

"Man, you guys are always a pain" Toriko sighed, "So basically, it's okay as long as they're not within 5 kilometers, right? It's not a problem if they're already gone when it's opened right?" Toriko walked over to the wall and cracked his knuckles, "If they're gonna try to threaten me, im gonna threaten him!"

'Wait, what?' Kimiko thought as she and the group looked over at Toriko.

"Wh-What's he planning to do?!" Tina said while videotaping with her camcorder.

A red aura started to emit from Toriko as he roared and then rolled his right arm, and pulled it back.

"SAN REN KUGI PUNCH!" Toriko swung his arm at the wall which basically destroyed the wall, "And it's open" The group looked at the gigantic hole that Toriko made.

'Sweet mother of Arceus!' Kimiko thought. "Wh-what was that?" She managed to say.

"The Kugi punch! It's an attack that drives several punches in at once. The number of simultaneous punches is just like a nail being hammered in the destruction piercing through to the other side"  Toriko explained.

"Wow, I wonder how strong he could be against my fighting Pokemon. Or even grandpa..." Kimiko muttered to herself.

"Sorry for the intrusion" Toriko walked into the Biotope.

"W-Wait a second, don't leave us behind!" Kimiko and Empoleon quickly ran after Toriko.

Thunder roared from the stormy clouds as the duo walked across the barren place.

"Looks like rain" Toriko commented, "The rainbow tree is tall, so it'd be pretty bad news if lightning struck."

"Yeah, it would act like a lightning rod." Kimiko agreed.

Toriko stopped and then jumped down to go to a lower level of land, but then one of Kimiko's Pokeballs opened to reveal Gardevoir and kept the giant man from falling into a hole that was dug out.

"What the-?!"

"A pitfall." Kimiko took a better look. "It was a trap. Quick thinking Gardevoir."

"Garde." The Embrace Pokémon nodded.

Then suddenly a gigantic green ape that had four arms that were holding large boulders jumping towards her The beast gave a roar making the chef look up to see that the ape was throwing boulders at them.

'Holy....! It makes a Slaking look like a baby!' Kimiko thought!

Troll Kong (Mammal Beast) – Capture Level 9

"Gardevoir, Psychic then Hypnosis!"

Gardevoir used her powers and locked eyes with the Troll Kong making it go to sleep.

"Whoa! Now what was that?" Toriko asked.

"Gardevoir is a psychic creature and she just had the Troll Kong go to sleep. Besides, we're only here for the fruit. Troll Kongs are inedible after all." Kimiko explained.

"On the mark, let's get going." Toriko smiled.

Toriko swallowed the drool that was in his mouth but didn't wipe away the droll that was already on his face as well as Kimiko and her two Pokemon. Gardevoir was more dignified while Empoleon kept swallowing his drool.

"The air is getting really sweet. Does this mean we are close?" Kimiko asked.

"Yeah, it looks like we're getting close to the Rainbow Fruit. Rainbow Fruit is said to make animals lose all their reason and become entranced by its smell alone. The Troll Kong is carnivorous so it doesn't eat the Rainbow Fruit, but they make their nest near the tree  in order to eat the animals that get drawn in by its scent." He explained.

"Though, something tells me he was just a scout for the pack..." Kimiko said as Toriko turned to her.

"You're right. Look you can see them" Toriko said as they came to an edge of a cliff. Kimiko looked in surprise, right in front of them were dozens of Troll Kongs a lot bigger than the scout.

"Whoa! There has to be at least 50 of them, give or take a dozen." Kimiko said. "Least I brought him too." Kimiko said as she took out a Wave Ball.

"Huh?" Toriko looked at her as Kimiko threw the ball.

"Gyarados, front and center!"

The Atrocious Pokemon made his entrance significant with a mighty roar, making the Troll Kongs flinch in shock and fear.

"Whoa! Now what's that?" Toriko asked.

"Gyarados, one of my best. Alright boy, just intimidate them but no attacking." Kimiko said as the sea snake nodded. "If I recall, Troll Kongs are hierarchical. They respond to an Alpha. We intimidate him, they all surrender."

Toriko smirked as they looked.

Meanwhile, watching from a safe distance away from the Troll Kongs, Tina and Kruppoh were hiding behind a gigantic rock.

"... So his only goal is the Rainbow Fruit?" Tina smiled as she tried to focus her camera on the blue haired man," Gourmet Hunter Toriko, and the Mysterious Gourmet Tamer. Such a gigantic portion of greatness!"

Then Kimiko looked to see a white Troll Kong.

"Toriko, there's a white one up there."

"Him, huh? I got ya. The one that has white hair as proof of its seniority? The Silverback." The creature had the same structure as the Troll Kongs except it had long silver hair and was larger than all of the Troll Kongs.

Silverback (Mammal Beast) – Capture Level 10

"It's pretty cool of you to have noticed that." Toriko said with a smile.

"No problem. Most creatures, especially if they have an evolutionary form, listen to the senior more, not for strength, but wisdom."

"Even so, that's quite a feat!" Toriko complimented. "You can tell Gyarados to ease up. I'll take care of this." He said as he used his intimidation.

Kimiko nodded and did so.

The Troll Kongs backed away from Toriko as he walked to the Silverback. The Silverback roared at the man who just glared at the creature.

Then......

The Silverback closed his eyes and bowed his head in defeat.

"He tamed the Troll Kongs... Amazing." Tina said in amazement.

As if sensing the end of the fight, the clouds slowly parted letting sunlight to reach across the land.

"Toriko..." Kimiko said as she spotted a large plant that had several brightly colored fruits hanging from it.

"Yeah, it's the Rainbow Fruit!" Toriko said as he ran towards the tree.

"It's so pretty!" Kimiko said as he looked at the vibrant colors of the fruit.

Meanwhile, Toriko was already up the tree picking a Rainbow fruit, and then he saw the Troll Kongs that were all staring at him. As if to see that he was going to steal all of the fruits.

"Hey, don't worry, I'm only taking one. I have no intention of threatening your livelihood." he informed the Troll Kongs. While he was saying that Tina took the chance to record it with her camera.

"E-Everyone, I have delicious news. The Gourmet Hunter Toriko has captured the Rainbow Fruit-" before she could finish a hand covered the camera lens. Tina looked up to see Johannes and two other men in protective suits.

"Like I said, impromptu data collecting annoys me." he took the camera away from her.

"You won't allow even one little scene?!" She yelled as the other two men grabbed her arms and picked her up.

"Get her out of here." Johannes ordered, the two guards quickly complied with the ordered and dragged Tina away while she was yelling complaints as Kimiko and her Pokemon watched.

Kimiko was ready to pack up and head home now that Toriko got the Rainbow Fruit.

"Hey, Kimiko! You mind if I let you create the Rainbow Fruit as a dessert?" Toriko asked.

"Huh? Why me?" Kimiko asked.

"Well, you're the chef right? I think you can do better than me."

Kimiko was surprised but agreed.

"You mind coming with me? Gardevoir, get us home."

Gardevoir nodded. And teleported them to Elusive Bite.

It was a simple three floor restaurant at the edge of town, but it had a homey feel to it.

There was a rustic waiting room with a fireplace and comfortable furniture.

There were booths, tables, and a bartender area, all hand beveled wood.

There was also a stage with a dance floor.

"Wow! I didn't know they still had restaurants like this!" Toriko said liking the feel of the place.

"I like to do something different. I can prep some dinner while you wait for the dessert." Kimiko said.

"No problem."

Toriko was currently chowing down on some food with napkin draped around his neck eating a bunch of dishes, and he felt like they gave him a jolt of energy.

What really surprised him was that it was a bunch of creatures that gave him the meals.

They varied to Gardevoir, to a mantis, to a strange rhino.

Toriko sighed and then smelled a sweet smell that made him drool. He looked to wear the smell was coming from to see Kimiko pushing a dinner cart.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, here is the Rainbow fruit!" She said as she pushed the cart towards Toriko's table and unveiled the dish, showing that it was a shining jello. The colors that were present in the Rainbow Fruit became more prominent as it was in a gelatinous form, that showcased the mixture of different colors of the fruit. The mere sight of it alone was enough to make everyone drool.

"What a sweet, mellow scent! Wha? The fruit juice is evaporating and forming a rainbow!" he exclaimed as a tiny rainbow was appearing above the dessert.

"Yep, I knew eating it that way would be delicious. We've kept the fruit's temperature at 5 degrees. And as time passes the temperature will rise and the flavor will change as well." Kimiko explained as she swallowed her drool.

"Okay, here we go. I give thanks to all the ingredients in this world, Itadakimasu!" Toriko said.

'He could barely contain his excitement or get the words out.' Kimiko thought. Even her Pokemon are swallowing their drool.

 Toriko then ate rainbow fruit jello and stopped.

'Inside my mouth, the flavor has changed four times. The sugar tastes like hundreds of fully-ripe mangoes condensed into a single bite and every now and then there is a hint of sourness that is incomparable to any lemon or kiwi!' Toriko swallowed, 'A fifth one! This time it's sweet, like roasted chestnuts! It's like a department store full of flavors.' Toriko swallowed again, 'the sixth an explosive sensation passes throughout my body as I swallow. The blood coursing through my veins takes but a minute to circulate. That seems like an eternity compared to the instant satisfaction that my entire body is feeling because of this sweet flavor!'

"T-Toriko?" Kimiko exclaimed as she saw tears running down Toriko's face.

"YUUUM!" Toriko cried making everyone stare at him, "The dessert has been decided! The dessert on my Lifetime Full Course Menu will be the Rainbow Fruit!"

'So, he's creating a full course menu, interesting...' Kimiko thought.

Toriko quickly wiped away his tears, "Kimiko! We've all got to try the Rainbow Fruit together, right? It tastes better if everyone gets some!Your Pokemon should try some too!" The Pokemon all perked up at his statement.

"R-Right!" Kimiko said as her Pokemon cheered.
'Amazing, so that is why he's called the Charismatic Gourmet Hunter.'
She thought to herself.

Meanwhile somewhere else

In a small shop that had the sign that said, Coco Fortune Telling a man was looking at his palm.

"Aw, I give up. What detestable luck. A man with three scars under his left eye will appear... huh? What truly unpleasant premonition." a man said as he looked at his left palm. "Huh? You will encounter a person with unique Beasts that will surprise you? A beast tamer maybe?"
