Kimiko, Empoleon, Toriko and Coco soon find themselves at the cave that leads to the Puffer Whale spawning grounds.

There were dozens of Hunters there, and Tina was there reporting with her pet Kruppoh at the side. The news reporter spotted Toriko, Kimiko, and Coco.

"Toriko!" Tina yelled as she ran towards the group. "Toriko! I knew you'd be coming," she stopped when she noticed Coco and Kimiko with Empoleon, "Huh? The mysterious Beast Tamer and one of her creatures! And even better, The Heavenly King Coco! This is one delicious scoop!" she smiled before pointing her camera at the man.

"Will you stop, please." Coco asked making Tina confused, "I'm sorry, I don't like being filmed."

"Same here." Kimiko spoke up. "My creatures have never been seen before and I have enough trouble keeping poachers away back home."

"Emp." Empoleon frowned.

"Ah, sorry..."

"Though, are you filming all by yourself again?" Kimiko asked noticing that the camera crew was not present.

"Well, yeah. Even though this is an amazing chance to see something that happens only once in 10 years, the rest of the staff were too afraid to come." Tina grumbled.

"Well, there sure is an uneasiness in the air. There are also poachers all aiming for the Puffer Whale." Toriko commented as the unusual silence hung from the crowds of Bishokuya as they entered the cave while some are just waiting around.

"But getting out of the cave alive is the hard part, right?" Komatsu asked.

"I can see all of their imminent deaths" Coco muttered.

'How does he know that? Is he a psychic?' Kimiko wondered.

"Shall we get going!" Toriko said not affected by the situation at all.

"That phantasmal fish, the Puffer Whale." Tina said getting their attention, "I want to know all about what kind of ingredient it is. And if I want to know, I'm sure all the people out there want to know too. I will show the world how delicious the Puffer Whale is! So I will go with you!"

"You want to, even though it could cost you your life?" Coco asked.

"You have guts to do this, I'll give you credit." Kimiko said as Empoleon nodded.

"Well, if you want to go with us, that's your choice." Toriko said, "There is no time like the present. Any time after that is the wrong time." He smiled as they went into the cave.

"Kimiko don't you need a high end lamp helmet?" Tina asked.

"No need." Kimiko said taking a Pokeball out. "Ampharos, we need your help."

A bipedal yellow creature came out flickering its tail. It had a collar around its neck with a strange swirling stone, but Coco can tell it had strong wavelengths.

"Mind making some light for us bud?"

"Amph!" He nodded and the cave began to light up.

"Whoa! This is new!" Toriko said as he took out the Dex.

Ampharos gives off so much light that it can be seen even from space. People in the old days used the light of this Pokémon to send signals back and forth with others far away. When it gets dark, the light from its bright, shiny tail can be seen from far away, even on the ocean’s surface. It has been revered since long ago as a beacon for sailors and lost travelers.'

"Wow! It was a hero to people? That's amazing!" Tina exclaimed.

"Kimiko. Don't stray too far from my side." Coco said.

"Alright, Coco." She answered only to turn around and see that Empoleon found some mushrooms, "Hey, Those are snap mushrooms! Where did you find them?" She looked at red polka-dotted blue mushrooms that swirled at the top.

Empoleon pointed at a corner.

"Really?" Toriko said as he took a mushroom and ate it, "The snap-crackly texture of this mushroom is the best!

"Toriko..."

Although in the process, the Zonge guy had came along only for him to run and Tina ran as well as she bought his lie of getting the Puffer Whale. But Coco assured them she would be safe.

"It's gotten very narrow in here, huh?" Kimiko said as she looked around the cave as Coco and Ampharos took the lead.

"Yeah, but there's no mistaking that it's here" Toriko sniffed the air, "It's faint, but I can detect the smell of salt water."

"As always, you have a perfect sense of smell." Kimiko commented.
"With Ampharos' ability, it's natural for him to navigate this cave.. But I'm curious on how Coco can travel in the cave just as well." She adds.

"Coco can see parts of the spectrum that regular humans can't, from the infrared to ultraviolet. He can see them all." Toriko explained.

"Huh?"
"Emp?"
"Amph?"

"As you may know, eyes contain cells that take in light called photo receptors. My photo receptors cells are much stronger than the average person's, so even in this pitch darkness, I'm able to see things as if it were high noon." Coco explained.

"But that's not all." Toriko said "Coco can also see electromagnetic waves, which regular humans can't."

"Yes, that's true" Coco said, "My vision allows me to see changes in the shape and color of the electromagnetic waves that people emit, which allows me to see their futures."

"Wow! That's something." Kimiko said amazed.

Then Ampharos stopped. "Ampha! Pharos, ros!" He said pointing down looking at something.

"What is it?" Kimiko asked.

''What's that?!" She said as she saw a gigantic cockroach that had scorpion like tails.

"Scorpion Cockroaches. They dissolve their prey with a deadly poison before they eat them." Toriko said.

Coco then started to take off his green bands.

"I'll take the lead" Coco said.

"Take the lead?" Kimiko repeated.

"Follow me" Coco said as his hand started to turn purple and then his whole body turned purple and then dropped down to where the cockroaches were. Once they got close to Coco they immediately started to back away.

"What just happened?" Kimiko asked as her Pokemon watched.

"They seem to be able to sense it as well" Toriko commented, "The threat of poison within Coco."

'Poison?'

Once all of the cockroaches were gone Coco then proceeded to put back on the green wraps that were around his neck and the turban. Once they were back his skin turned back to a normal color.

"I've scared them off, so you can relax now." Coco said.

"How did...?" Kimiko asked.

"Gourmet Hunters will artificially create antibodies within themselves in order to oppose creatures that carry poison." Toriko said.

"Antibodies?" Kimiko repeated" They'll neutralize the poison and negate its effects, right? How many creatures are you immune from Toriko?" She asked.

"I have 70 different antibodies, but Coco has about 500 antibodies inside of him." Toriko explained.

"500?!" Kimiko exclaimed.
"Empole!?"
"Amph?!"

"Because my body is able to withstand much more poison than the average person, I've been able to produce antibodies" Coco then turned away looking at his hand. "But........antibodies are normally made by slowly injecting a minuscule amount of poison into the body over a long period of time. Because I've had such a large amount of poison injected into my body, the poisons within my body mix to create new poisons. It has enough strength to send the beasts running for their lives. And so now I'm a poisonous human. An existence without grace." he then turned to the two, "Well, shall we go?"

"Coco-san seems lonely, huh?" Kimiko commented.

"Coco is hunted by scientists that are aiming to create new antitoxins from his blood. There have even been some who've tried to have Coco himself isolated as a top class dangerous creature. So he left his job as a Hunter, in order to escape having any ties with them." Toriko explained.

"So That's why he hates cameras." 'Did these scientists actually do that to him?' She paused as she looked at Coco's retreating form, understanding how he feels because she had Pokemon that were isolated in labs before she rescued them.

"Poleon..."
"Ros..." Her two Pokemon said sadly.

"Toriko" Coco said, "About 100 meters directly below us, the hole widens!" making the the group catch up with Coco.

"My eyes are better, I will go on ahead" Coco said as he tied the rope around him.

Kimiko returned her two Pokemon for the time being.

"Then I'll go with Coco. Is it, okay?" She asked getting onto his back.

"But, my poison" Coco said as if a way to warn her.

"Dont worry about, Coco" Kimiko said smiling.

"Suit yourself" Coco smiled and descended into the hole. As they were descending, little lights were floating around them illuminating their descent.

As they descended down, they saw fireflies.

"Does the fact that there are fireflies here mean that the beach is close?" Toriko yelled as he was sliding down the rope.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" The group heard a blood curdling scream.

"A Hunter." Toriko said as his eyes narrowed as the fireflies disappeared.

"Something's coming" Coco said, "Toriko!"

"Yup, we're going straight down!." Toriko yelled as he practically slid down the rope.

"Kimiko, hold on tight!" Coco said.

"Okay" she said as she tightened her grip as the two hit the ground. And a noise caused them to look up.

"It's a flock of Swallowtail bats!" Kimiko said.

But the next thing they knew, Kimiko disappeared without a trace, but wherever she was, she's safer than them because they were facing the ruler of the cave...

It roared as it launched a Flash Cannon, hitting the creature dead on, knocking it down for good.

But Kimiko let out a gasp that made the Steelix divert its attention to her.

"Gallade, I'll need your help!" She said as her Blade Pokémon Appeared.

Kimiko had to get ready.
