Chapter 12
(how's it going dudes? I just want to let you dudes know that the photo you are looking at is really me meeting Keanu Reeves on Sunday, February 21. He was a most excellent dude but he was really tired. At least he was being honest to me that he feels tired since I know there are people who are having a heinous day and lie that they are ok. Keanu was an honest dude and I'm glad I met him, but I wished he moved the event on a different day. Anyways, the event was insane but it was worth the Sunday wait. Hope you enjoy the chapter dudes.)
It was really late at night in San Dimas, California as Bill, Ted and Marilyn were asleep. But it wasn't until Ted woke up from a nightmare. He sat up straight, breathing heavily and looks around the room, seeing he was in the bedroom without Bill by his side. He looks at the alarm clock to see it was 4:29 am. He sighs and lays back in bed, staring up at the ceiling. He tried to breathe normally but it only made it worse. "Fuck," he whispered. He gets out of bed, sits on the edge of the bed, grabs his anxiety pills and looks at it. He twists the cap open, grabs a pill, puts it in his mouth and swallows it. He closed the cap in the bottle and placed it back on the side desk next to the alarm clock. He took a breath in and slowly breathes out multiple times until his breathing was back to normal. Ted stood up and walks towards the window, sitting at the edge and looks out at the night sky. He opens the window to let the cool night in, feeling the breeze hitting his face. The blue moon was still shining down in Southern California as the stars still sparkle and street lights were still on. Only few cars drove by the freeway. In the very far distance, Ted could see the view the building lights of Downtown Los Angeles. He always wonder how life would be to get a nice house or apartment with a great view of the clear sky and the view of Downtown L.A shining with the night. He sighs with a smile until his smile slowly faded away. He forgot his excellent friend was moving to San Francisco. He couldn't believe it was true. Living his life without Bill? How could this be? Bill and Ted know they always stay by each other's sides and never leave or else the future would be ruined, especially if someone is moving somewhere far away. He placed his hands in his robe pockets and felt something crumbled. He pulls out what looks a photo. He unfolds it and looks to see it was the time Bill and Ted was at Disneyland. Their pose in front of the Sleeping Beauty castle was an air guitar jump, which captured the right moment. He smiled a bit as memories begin to run through his head. He chuckled when he remembered the time Bill and Ted were in Space Mountain and some person behind them pissed its pants while on the ride. He laughed softly, trying not to wake up either Marilyn or Bill. He looks back up at the night sky, sighs and spoke to himself, "why can't we just live the normal life instead of being tortured by our evil selves?" He sighed angrily and rubs his eyes. He feels tired and annoyed by the heinous event. He gets up and walks towards the closet, deciding to go for a late night walk. He grabs a pair of torn black jeans, a black shirt with the design of blood stains, a pair of boxers and socks as he heads to the restroom to take a quick shower. As he enters the restroom, he turns on the light and turns on the shower. He placed his clothes on the counter and looks at himself in the mirror. He looks at his messy hair and looks into his eyes for a moment, thinking about his past but decides to ignore it. He takes off his robe and steps into the shower. He sits on the bathtub, letting the water hit his head as he runs his hands through his hair and clenches it. He feels anger inside and wants it to release it but decides to let it slide. After 10 minutes in the showers, Ted turns off the faucet, exits the bathtub and grabs the towel hanging on a rack. He ruffles his wet hair with the towel and dries off his body with the towel. He grabs his boxers, slips them on, grabs the jeans and slips them on. He buttons his jeans and zip up his zipper. He walks towards the sink and looks at his reflection, seeing the shower mist covering the mirror. He wipes off the mirror with his hand and jumps to his surprise when he saw eyes of darkness in him. His evil smile of his reflection and his eyes was staring into his soul. He rubs both of his eyes and looks back at the mirror, seeing his reflection was back to normal. Ted took a deep breath and sighs. He grabs his shirt and puts it on. He looks at himself and chuckles, "I look so emo," he said to himself. He grabs the hair dryer, a hairbrush and turns on the hair dryer. He starts to fluff up his hair while brushing it, giving it a puffy look. 2 minutes later, he turns off the hair dryer and looks at himself. His bangs were covering his entire right eye. He shrugs it off and heads back to the bedroom. He grabs his socks, slips them on, puts on his Converse sneakers, ties his shoelaces and heads out. He slowly walks down the stairs, making sure he doesn't get caught. He walks towards the door, opens it, heads outside and closes the door. He manages to get the headphones and a cassette player on the way out. He puts on his headphones; turns on his cassette player and a guitar solo began to play. The music gave Ted a feeling like he is the creature of the night who wanders alone through the streets of emptiness. As the singer began to sang, Ted lip sync every lyric on the song as he walks on the streets. He looks up at the full moon slowly fading before the early morning was about to rise. He looks at his watch to see the time. It was 4:50 am. Ted continued to walk, not even caring about his surroundings. A gang of teens were chilling in the alleyway as they noticed Ted was walking by himself in the streets. A teen boy yelled, "HEY! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?!" Ted didn't hear a thing since his music was on full blast. He passed by the gang and continued to walk on the streets until he felt something knocked Ted out of the cold. His body fell and landed on the road. Two figures grabbed him by the ankles and drag him into the trunk of a van. They pull him up and throw him in there and close the trunk. The two figures jumps into the van and drives off into the freeway. The morning sun began to rise as it shines over the mountains. Bill wakes up slowly to see the sun hitting his face. He groans and rubs his eyes as he covers his face with the blanket, turns and falls off of the bed, landing his back on the floor. "Ugh!" yelled Bill. Marilyn opened the door and looks around to see Bill on the floor. She rushed towards him, pulls out the blanket and panicked. "Hey. Did you know where Ted went? He's not in his room," Marilyn spoke. Bill sat up with a tired look on his face and looks up at Marilyn. "What about Ted?" asked Bill. Marilyn sighs and said, "your colleague, your excellent friend, the dude that kissed you back at the abandoned hospital?" Bill stood up immediately and explained, "first off all, he made it even because I kissed him when we got into a fight and he kissed me back so it is better to be even instead of being un-even and awkward. Second, are you sure he's not in his room?" "Yes," said Marilyn, "I checked everywhere around the house. He is nowhere to be found." Bill crossed his arm and looks away for a second, "that's strange. He doesn't just get up and leave right away without telling us where he is going." Marilyn sighed and shrugs, "I don't really much about him but if you were Ted, where would you go?" Bill began to think long and hard for a second. There are many places Ted would go whether it is Waterloo, the Circle K, Bill's house, the mall, the arcade or the small fair that is located behind the San Dimas High School. But Bill knows Ted very well, especially when it comes to his negative side. He looks at Marilyn and said, "Maybe for a walk, especially in the night since me and Ted are more immune to the night." Marilyn raised an eyebrow for a second, "are you guys like vampires or emo or killers?" "If we were vampires, then we wouldn't be awake right now. If we were killers, we would kill you right now but no, we're Bill and Ted. We're ourselves," said Bill. "Hmm," said Marilyn, "you have a point there." Bill grabbed his pants and slips them on under the robe, "besides, Ted is more of the dark dude himself. I don't mind that we are fans of horror but trust us, take us to a horror place and our lives will change. Take us to a horror event and we will get scared." "Huh," said Marilyn. She was impressed how two slackers have a dark side, but is frightened that they may take it seriously. Bill takes off his robe and grabs a yellow t-shirt. He slips it on and grabs his shoes. He grabs his socks, slips them on and slips on his Converse sneakers. "Can I ask you a question?" asked Marilyn. "Go for it," said Bill as he was tying his shoes. Marilyn walked up to Bill and sits on the edge of the bed, next to him and looks down. She took a deep breath and asked, "Why are you moving?" Bill stopped for a moment and gasped softly. He turned his head and looks at Marilyn, shocked for a second. "I heard the conversation about you and Ted. You planned on moving to San Francisco and leaving Ted behind," Marilyn looks at Bill, feeling a bit irritated about his move. "Are you trying to run away?" Bill sighs angrily and answered, "Look, Marilyn. I'm tired of all this. I'm tired of being the one dude who has to do all the work just to save a friend and what do I get in return? I'm being used! I'm just sick of it." Bill ran his fingers through his curly hair and sighs for moment. "I just-" He paused for a second, thinking of how the future would affect on Bill and Ted's life. Every choice they made always affects the future of 2689, no matter how excellent or how heinous the situation is. "I just want a normal life where me and Ted don't have to fight our evil selves and just continue our path to become a huge sensation to the world." Marilyn felt bad for a second and placed her hands on his shoulder, rubbing it and said, "Hey. As long as I'm around, I'm helping you and Ted end this once and for all." Bill gave Marilyn a small smile and she said, "Come on. Let's go find Ted." Bill nods his head and they stood up, left the room, head downstairs and walk to the outside to find Ted.
In 2689, Ted was in a dark room, all tied up in a chair and beaten up. He opens his eyes slowly, groaning in pain and looks up slowly. He noticed he wasn't in the streets. "Bogus," he spoke in pain. He moved his shoulders while groaning in pain quietly. He felt both of his wrists all tied up and struggles for a second. He looks around and yells, "HELLO?!" He looks straight ahead and noticed a faint figure in the distance was walking towards him. The lights were turned on to see the dark room was an office and to Ted's surprise, he saw Bill and his other self. "No way," said Ted. "Good morning sunshine," said Evil Ted, "sorry we had to take you here but we definitely need you for something truly most excellent." Ted looked at his evil self and Evil Bill with an angry look on his face, "what did you do to Bill?" he asked. Evil Bill and Evil Ted looked at each other and Evil Bill answered, "oh we don't need to worry him. He's still back at home, not noticing you are here in 2689." "268-" Ted's eyes widen immediately when he heard the year he is in, "What happened to the three great leaders and Rufus? Why is it so evil?" "Because," said Evil Ted, "we are taking over the future. We want the real future." "And according to De Nomolos's plans," said Evil Bill as he pulls out Marilyn's laptop from the desk, "we decided to do his plans ourselves instead of him since he is such a lazy ass and ALWAYS INTERRUPT OUR FUN!" Evil Bill breathed heavily as both Teds looked at him in fear. "Woah," both Ted spoke. Evil Bill sighed and said, "sorry. It's just my system. I get angry a lot." "Tell me about it," both Ted spoke at the same time. Evil Bill became confused and shook his head. "Anyways, now that we have the plans and know how to defeat you two, me and Evil Ted will insert them in our system files." "Now we will know when the next attack is you two will commence," said Evil Ted with a grin. Evil Bill and Evil Ted left Ted in the office, letting Ted make an evil smile at the door and chuckles, "Man you two are way stupider than De Nomolos thought." Ted was released from the rope since it was loose. He stood up and looked around for a phone. He looked at the closet, only to find De Nomolos's dead body fall out of the closet. The blood stench was strong that Ted had to cover his nose. "Wow dude," he said, "what were you thinking when you made those two?" Ted shook his head and walks around the room, trying to find a phone to contact someone. He went behind the desk and rummage through drawers one by one. As he looked through the drawers, he found what looks like a cell phone. He looks at it with confusion and dials Bill's number, but realized he's at Marilyn's place. "Fuck," he said. He decided to call an operator as he dials a number and placed the phone in his ear. The cell phone rang a few times until he heard a deep but positive voice, "thank you for calling operator. How may I help you?" Ted's eyes slowly widen once he heard the voice. He recognized that voice anywhere as tears started to form with happiness. "Rufus!" "Hello Ted..."
