Sophie Foster was looking at the girl they had just rescued. After they got back from the Neverseen hideout, they immediately brought her to Elwin. She had burn marks all over her sides, and not to mention the marks on her wrist from struggling. 

Sophie jumped a little when Keefe came in and put a hand on her shoulder. 

"Hey, Foster." Sophie smiled a little at the nickname. "Hey Keefe." Sophie eyes wandered away from the sleeping girl, towards her boyfriend. She gave him a light kiss on the cheek. "Are you okay?" Keefe asked looking Sophie in the eyes. He had been really worried since they got back. Sophie had been the one to take the girl to Elwin. He and Fitz had to stay back and update Forkle. 

"Yeah...I...no. I'm not okay! I already dragged you, all my friends into this war. Now this girl! What if she has a boyfriend? What about her family? I can't imagine losing you or Grady and Edaline! I can't imagine how she feels." Sophie was in tears at this point. She felt so hopelessly guilty. All she did was endanger more and more people. When would this end?

Keefe hugged his crying girlfriend. He could've felt her guilt from miles away. "Hey this isn't your fault. And you're never gonna lose Grady and Edaline." Keefe pulled back and looked at Sophie with intense searching eyes. She sniffled. "What about you?" Keefe was taken aback by this question. "I would never leave you! You are the best most amazing girl I've ever meet! And don't you believe anything other than that." Sophie let a small smile spread across her face as she hugged her boyfriend. "Thank you." She whispered in his ear before pulling away and looking back towards the strange girl. 

Then all of the sudden her eyes started to flutter. "Keefe! She's waking up! Go get the others!" Keefe nodded and ran out of the room. "Elwin! She waking up! Quick!" Sophie yelled for Elwin. 

Soon Biana, Keefe, Sophie, Tam, Lihn, Fitz, Marella, Dex, Wylie, Stina, Forkle, and Elwin, were all crowded around the girl's bed. 

"Hello...." the girls voice sounded rough from hours in bed. "Hello! I'm Sophie! This is Keefe, Biana, Wylie, Stina, Marella, Dex, Tam, Lihn, and Fitz." Sophie introduced herself and all her friends to the girl. "What's your name?" The girl tried to sit up, but not before Elwin pushed her back down. "None of that, you still need some rest." She ignored his demands and pushed herself in a sitting position. 

"Where's Percy?" The girls eyes were wondering around the room looking for something. "I don't know who that is. But we might be able to find him if you tell us your name and what happened to you." Mr. Forkle re-asked Sophie's question. 

Annabeth nodded a little before answering. "Well...my name's Annabeth. Umm it all started when we got attacked at camp...."

*TIME SKIP TO WHEN SHE IS DONE EXPLAINING*

"...and that's when you guys came to save me." Annabeth pointed at Sophie, Keefe, and Fitz. 

"The Neverseen came to the real world, and attacked!" Sophie grabbed Keefe's hand. "How could they do that?! Why would they do that?!" Sophie was starting to hyperventilate. 

"Wait! You know these people?!" Annabeth asked. "Yeah. They have been trying to kill me since forever. We must know you somehow, making them want to attack your camp." Sophie said it like it was her thoughts more than what she actually planned to say. 

"So this was all your fault?!" Annabeth practically yelled. "They have Percy, and it's all your fault?!" Annabeth stood up despite Elwin's  protests. Annabeth walked towards Sophie who was backing up slowly. "You ruined my life you ruined it!" Annabeth raised her hand and slapped Sophie across the face. When Annabeth did that everyone that was in the room unfroze. Keefe ran up and grabbed Annabeth, restraining her as she struggled trying to slap Sophie again. 

"I guess I deserved that." Sophie said nodding slowly massaging her sore face. "Somebody get a sedative!" Keefe yelled struggling to keep Annabeth contained. Elwin hurried over forced her mouth open and poured the sedative in. Keefe dropped her into Elwin's arms and ran over to Sophie, who had a pretty good hand sized bruise on her face. "Are you okay?" Sophie nodded her head. "Yeah I'm fine. We should be more worried about her than me."

The next few minutes flew by. They put Annabeth in the bed, deciding they shouldn't restrain her. Elwin also gave Sophie some cream to put on her bruise, though there was still a faint outline of the hand. 

"Okay, everyone. Good job today and I'll see you all tomorrow." Mr. Forkle announced as everyone said there's goodbyes. 

"Bye Keefe, I'm gonna stay here tonight make sure she doesn't leave." Sophie said as Keefe came over to her. "Um...if you're staying then so am I." Keefe said in a very serious tone. If Sophie was being honest that made her feel better, having Keefe there. 

After everyone left Sophie and Keefe snuggled up on the cot next to Annabeth and drifted off to sleep.
