Gotham Merchants Bank
6:00 pm

As the red sky starts to dim Gotham City, the Gotham Merchants Bank is soon to be closed for the evening. However, one gang of criminals have different plans.

A white van stops in front of the bank. Thugs step out with guns and cover their faces with red facemasks. A man steps out in a suit and red helmet and cape.

The gang gets on each side of the door and nod at each other and then bust in!

Shrieks are heard as the thugs yell.

"Get down!!!!!" shouts one thug.

"We will shoot!!!" shouts another.

A guard goes up to them but gets hit with the butt of the gun by a thug. The thug then shoots a warning shot in the ceiling. The suited man quietly yells and shakes before he then breathes a few times.

He then walks in

"Ladies and gentlemen, this....is a robbery. If you want to go home to your families safely then I suggest you all get the hell down!" shouts the man.

A guard starts to reach for his gun.

"DO NOT REACH FOR THE F*CKING GUN!" shouts the man.

The guard puts his hands up.

"As I was saying before I was RUDELY interrupted, If you wish to live then you will give my friends money and we all can be on our merry way.

A few thugs with bags go to the tellers and demand money.

"Put it in the bag now!!!" shouts a thug.

"I am! I am!" says one female teller.

"You people make me sick!" says another female teller.

"Oh quite a mouth you got, I like that hun." says a thug.

The suited man walks around and smirks under his helmet.

The tellers continue to put money in the bags.

As the suited man walks around, a older guard gets up and pulls his gun out the holster and points it at the suited man but a thug sees this and shoots the guard!!!

The gunshot startles the suited man. He looks over and shakes.

The tellers scream as the guard falls back.

The thugs look over and start to walk away. A thug walks up to the suited man.

"Hey we gotta go. Hey? Hey! We have to go now!" shouts the thug.

The suited man nods and starts to walk away, obviously startled.

They put the bags in the van, get in and drive off.

The GCPD are inside the bank. The sound of talking and camera flares fill the bank.

Jim Gordan walks up to the body of the guard and sighs.

"Poor bastard." says Jim who takes a drag of his cigarette.

"You know, you really shouldn't smoke indoors." says a low voice.

Jim turns to see Batman.

"It's been a long night." says Jim with a chuckle. "It always is in Gotham"

"What do we have?" asks Batman.

"Robbery. This guy tried to stop them, paid for it." says Jim.

Batman looks over and sees a female bank teller. He walks up to her.

"Y....You're....The Batman." she says as she looks up at him.

"Are you hurt?" asks Batman.

She shakes her head as Gordan walks over.

"Can you tell me what happened?" asks Jim.

"We were about to close for the night, then these men came in...They all had red facemasks. This one was ina. Suit and had like a red hood or helmet and a cape. He...he threatened us. T...Tom tried to stop them.....Tom...Oh Tom.." she says before breaking down into tears.

Jim looks down as Batman walks away. Jim follows him.

"Is there footage?" asks Batman.

"Yes. Want me to show you?" asks Jim.

"I'll get it on my own." says Batman.

Jim chuckles and shakes his head.

"You do that." says Jim who then turns and looks around the bank. "Just make sure you don't get cau-"

Batman is gone. Jim sighs.

"Every damn time." he says and shakes his head.

Warehouse 39
11:03 am

A newspaper is thrown onto a round table. The headline reads, "The Red Hood Gang Strikes!"

"Red Hood? Hood? It's obviously a helmet." says one thug.

"Oh come on! It's totally a hood!" says another thug.

"Man you are an idiot! It's a helmet!" says the other thug.

A different thug walks up to them.

"Hey! Hey!! .....It's obviously a hat!" says the thug.

"You stupid mother f-" says one thug.

"SHUT UP!" says a voice.

The voice comes from the shadows. The light reflects off a red helmet, revealing The Red Hood.

They all stop talking.

"Hey man what's your problem? You seemed off at the Bank." says a thug.

However, The Red Hood stays silent and walks off.

The thugs watch him.

" ......It's still a hood." says a thug.

"Don't you start that again!" says another thug

Batcave
11:39 am

Bruce is downstairs in the cave watching the footage of the robbery. Alfred walks up to him.

"Find anything sir?" he asks.

"Nothing besides that this Red Hood guy is inexperienced. Look at this." says Bruce who then skips to the part where the guard is shot and The Red Hood noticeably looks terrified.

"It appears so." says Alfred.

Bruce rests his head on his hand and looks at the footage.

"Hang on..." Bruce says as he sits up and reverses the footage and pauses it. Bruce types a few things and the computer zooms in on a man.

"I've seen him before." says Bruce.

"You have?" asks Alfred.

"Yeah." says Bruce who then types some things and the computer comes up with the file of the man. "Charlie Walters. History full of charges and felonies."

"That name does ring a bell. You stopped him after he robbed a bank." says Alfred.

"Seems to be a hobby of his." says Bruce.

"Well maybe The Batman should pay him a visit." says Alfred.

Bruce smirks at Alfred.

Pauli's Diner
8:02 pm

Charlie is exiting the diner and walking away. Up on a rooftop stands, Batman watching him as the rain falls.

He turns into an alley and starts to cut through but then a garbage can is knocked over. Charlie turns.

"Hello?" He asks, looking around. Charlie then begins to walk again until he hears footsteps.

Charlie turns back around and sees nothing again.

"I must be going crazy." He says to himself.

He turns and gasps as Batman stands in front of him and grabs him and slams him against a wall.

"Not you again!!!" shouts Charlie.

"I know you were at the robbery at the bank!" says Batman.

"Yeah? And what's it to ya?" he shouts.

Batman hits him over and over.

"Tell me about the Red Hood!" he shouts.

"You're crazy!" shouts Charlie.

Batman tosses him aside. Charlie tries to crawl away in the rain but Batman grabs him and pulls him back.

"No!!!!" says Charlie.

Batman grabs him by the collar.

"Talk!!" shouts Batman.

Charlie says something but it trails off as he passes out. Batman sighs and looks up and smirks.

After a bit, Charlie wakes up....being held upside down, off a building.

"OH JESUS! NO! PLEASE DON'T! JESUS!" yells a terrified Charlie.

"Don't like heights?" asks Batman.

"YOU'RE CRAZY! YOU HEAR ME?!" shouts Charlie.

"TALK!" screams Batman.

"OVER MY DEAD B-" shouts Charlie before Batman starts to let him go. Charlie falls and screams before Batman pulls him back up with his rope.

"NOW TELL ME!!!" shouts Batman.

Charlie breathes heavily.

"OK! OK! W...WE ARE LOOKING TO HIT UP 2 MORE BANKS! GOTHAM NATIONAL AND BANK OF GOTHAM! TH...THE HOOD...HE ISN'T LIKE US!!!!" shouts Charlie.

"HOW?!" shouts Batman.

"HE ISN'T A CRIMINAL! HE JUST NEEDS THE MONEY! THAT'S ALL I KNOW I SWEAR!" yells Charlie. "NOW PULL ME UP!!!!"

Batman smirks.

"Thank you." He says calmly before letting Charlie go.

Charlie screams and yells as he falls before falling down onto a bunch of garbage bags.

"YOU'RE CRAZY! YOU'RE FRIGGIN CRAZY!!!!!!!" he yells up at Batman.

Batman walks off

GCPD Rooftop
8:34 pm

Jim Gordan stands on the rooftop looking at the city. A cape whooshing in the wind is heard.

"Got something?" asks Jim.

Batman walks up to Jim.

"I do. Charlie Walters was apart of the gang. I had a chat with him. They are planning to rob the Gotham National Bank and The Bank of Gotham." says Batman.

"Great....Well at least we know where. We don't know when." says Jim.

"I'm sure we will find out soon enough." says Batman.

Jim sighs.

"Is there a way to contact you? Like I would love to just be able to flash something and it would be like a signal for you." says Jim.

"Perhaps one day you can get that." says Batman. "For now, I'll appear when I have information."

Jim chuckles. "Whatever you say. Depsite what my colleagues say, you do a lot for this city."

"And so do you Jim. You're the only cop I trust here." says Batman.

"Aww thanks." says Jim who chuckles. "Well just know, you matter to this cit-"

Jim turns and sees Batman is gone. He chuckles and shakes his head.

Warehouse 39
8:40 pm

Members of the gang are sitting around a roundtable.

"Have any of you heard from Charlie?" asks one of them.

"Nah. He is probably passed out drunk somewhere. Who cares." says another.

"We do. We need everyone for the next robbery." says one of them.

"We will be fine," says another. They all look at the shadows. The Red Helmet of The Red Hood is seen. "You think he is ok?"

"Let's hope so." says a member. "Anyway, let's plan this out.

While they do that, the Red Hood takes his helmet off to reveal his short black hair. He runs a hand through it and sighs.

Gotham National Bank
7:09 pm

The White Van of the Red Hood Gang pulls up to the Gotham National Bank. As they step out they don't notice a silver car parked on the road, watching them.

Inside are two undercover cops.

"Gordan, they are here." says one of them into hia walkie talkie.

Back at the GCPD, Gordan grabs his walkie talkie. "Alright, we'll be there. If they try to get away before we arrive, chase after them." he says.

Jim then turns to the cops behind him. "It's time gents." he says.

As the GCPD prepares to drive to the scene, The Red Hood Gang has carefully broken into the bank and are stealing the money.

"This is amazing!!! We're gonna be rich!!!" says one of them.

"Keep filling the bags up. I don't want to be here anymore than we have to. We don't need the GCPD or The Bat thing on our tail." says The Red Hood.

As the gang members continue to fill up their bags, someone is watching them on a rooftop....Batman.

The gang continues to fill their bags with money until they hear sirens.

"Shit! It's the cops!!" says one of them.

"Keep going!" says The Red Hood.

The GCPD stops at the bank and get out of their cars. As this happens, a member of the gang goes away from the pact. He is then grabbed and taken into the shadows. He screams in pain making the others look.

"Wh...where is Paulie?" says one of the thugs.

One of the thugs starts to walk towards the shadows. His gun is grabbed by a hand and he is headbutted by Batman. The other thugs rush over and sees nothing.

"The hell is going on?!" Shouts a thug.

Then two thugs are seen hanging from the rafters by their legs with a rope. One thug goes towards them. A cloud of smoke disappears and Batman stands in front of him.

"IT'S DA FREAKIN BAT!!!!" says a thug. He goes to shoot but Batman grabs his gun and headbutts him. Batman knees him in the gut and kicks him back. Another thug runs to them and Batman ducks, and throws him over his head. Batman turns and gets nailed in the face with a gun.

The Red Hood stands there.

"This will teach you about getting involved in our business!!!" He shouts.

The other thugs start to hit Batman and kick him.

"Stop!" shouts the Red Hood. "We need to get out of here!!!"

The thugs stop, grab their bags and run off.

Batman catches his breath and holds his side. He gets up as the police get in.

"What the hell...Where are they?!" shouts Harvey Bullock.

Jim walks in.

"Son of a bitch." he says.

After a bit of looking around, Jim and Batman are talking.

"This isn't good." says Jim.

"We know what bank they...they are hitting next. We....We know where they will be." says Batman.

"You ok?" asks Jim.

"I'm fine. They got a few hits in." says Batman.

"I see. Well, they only have one bank left." says Jim.

The two look at each other.

"Bank of Gotham" they both say.

Jim looks outside as a car pulls up.

"Goddamnit..." he says.

"What's wrong?" asks Batman.

"The commissioner is here." says Jim with a sigh.

Out steps a man. Late 50s. Glasses, and a mean look to him. He walks in the Bank.

"What the hell is going on here?! Gordan! Why are these men still out the- ....You..." says Commissioner Gillian Loeb.

Loeb walks up to them.

"I've told you many times Gordan, not to work with him!" he shouts.

"Sir, He is a big help." says Jim.

"A big help? What kind of help is he?! They got away!!!" shouts Loeb.

"We know their next location." says Batman. "We wouldn't if I didn't give this information to Jim."

Loeb chuckles.

"Real funny guy. Listen, I don't care if you go visit Jim every day, you stay the hell away from our investigations! And don't give me that crap! We would have found that information!" yells Loeb."I don't care what he wants to do! We are getting them without him! Jim, you're this close to losing your job!"

"With all due respect sir, he has helped us a lot." says Jim. "Now we know where they are going next. He can help us catch them. We were talking and he had an idea." says Jim.

"Oh come on!" shouts Loeb.

"Hear him out." says Jim.

Loeb sighs and looks at Batman.

"We know where they are going next. We can stop them." says Batman.

"How?" asks Loeb.

"Dye packets." says Batman.

"Dye packets? That's it? That's not that revolutionary." says Loeb.

"Then why did you never call the Banks about them when you knew these robberies were happening?" asks Batman.

"I.....I'll call the banks. Let's go." says Loeb.

Meanwhile, the Red Hood gang are driving in their van until they stop.

"The hell is going on?!" shouts a thug.

"We need to talk. Tomorrow we are finishing this plan and then we are going our separate ways." says the Red Hood.

"Ok....We need to be more careful." says a thug.

"Yes we need to. Now come on. Let's go." says a thug.

The van drives off.

GCPD: Commisioner Loeb's Office
11:03 am

"Alright, thank you." says Commissioner Loeb who hangs up his phone.

Inside his office stands Jim Gordan.

"Well, that was the bank. They are going to set the dye packs. This better go well Jim." says Loeb.

"Trust me Commissioner. It will." says Jim.

"I hope you're right." says Loeb.

Bank of Gotham
7:21 pm

The White Van of the Red Hood van pulls up to the Bank and each of the 4 remaining members steps out.

They sneak inside. Then out of the van steps the Red Hood who then heads inside.

Meanwhile, a black sedan is parked on the street. Inside sits two men.

"Captain, this is Officer Jones. We have eyes on the suspects." says one of the men into a walkie talkie.

Outside the GCPD, Jim Gordan and a bunch of cops stand.

"Understood. We'll be there." says Jim.

Jim looks at the cops.

"Let's end this," he says.

Meanwhile, at the Batcave, Bruce is sitting at the batcomputer. He gets up and turns his scanner off. He then goes to his suit chamber and looks at it.

The gang continues to grab the bags.

"This is so easy!" says a thug.

"Shut up! Keep taking money!" says another thug.

They all keep filling their bags up.

"Ok! Let's go. We have enough." says the Red Hood.

The thugs all zip up their bags and start to leave. They all look over and see a bunch of cop cars.

"Shit!!! Get in the van!!!" says a thug.

They all get in the van and start to drive away as the police cars are chasing them.

"Son of a bitch!" says a thug.

"JUST DRIVE!!!" shouts the Red Hood.

They keep driving as the cops follow them. Soon, a new person arrives on the chase.

Batman is on the batcycle next to the cop cars. He sees Jim in a police car and nods at him before then riding off closer to the van.

"It's the bat!!!! He is chasing us!!!" says a thug.

"DRIVE!" yells the Red Hood.

"I AM!" yells the driver.

Just then a big bright blue dye explosion covers the money and the windshield of the car!

"SHIT!!!! THEY HAD DYE PACKS!!!" yells a thug.

The van starts to swerve until they hit a pole outside of...

Ace Chemicals.

They all get out and see the cops and Batman.

"GO IN THE PLANT!!!" yells the Red Hood.

They all flee inside the Ace Plant. Batman stops on his cycle and runs into the building following them.

They all keep running as Batman chases them. They walk into the mixing chamber room. One of the thugs stops and goes to hit Batman but he dodge and headbutts the thug. Batman grabs him and knees him in the gut. Batman then knees him in the face and kicks him into the wall.

The other thugs start to go up the stairs. Batman grabs a thug and throws him off the steps. A thug charges at Batman but he throws him over his head and down onto the stairs! The Red Hood starts to run more up the stairs and onto the catwalk. The last thug runs at Batman and goes for a punch but Batman dodges and punches him hard, making him fall down the stairs.

A thug then comes up behind him and grabs him. The other thug hits Batman over and over until Batman dodges and the thug hits his partner!

"Shit! Get out of the way man!" says the thug.

He then turns around into a big punch from Batman. Batman then turns around and sees a terrified Red Hood who keeps backing away.

"Pl...Please! Stay away from me! I'm not a crook! I needed the money! Please my wi-" he says until he backs into the railing. Batman sees the railing breaking.

"Watch out!!" he shouts but it's too late as the rail breaks and Red Hood falls off. Batman runs to try and catch him but Red Hood falls down into a giant vat of chemicals!!!!!!

Batman watches and looks stunned. He looks down and sighs.

"Damnit." he says.

Batman hears the cops enter the building.

The cop goes into the mixing chamber and only sees the thugs.

Jim arrives and looks around as he sighs.

Batcave
8:39pm

Bruce sighs as he sits in his chair and has his head down. Alfred walks up to him and puts a hand on his shoulder.

"I could have saved him, Alfred." says Bruce. "It's my fault."

"Master Bruce, I'm sure he is ok....There....There are going to be times during this where you are human. Sure, you are a vigilante, but you are human. You can't save everyone." says Alfred.

Meanwhile, The Police are all looking around.

"Gordan!!!" shouts a cop.

Everyone looks and sees a cop with gloves on, walking back in, carrying something.

"I found this outside in the river!" says the cop.

He stops and shows them the Red Hood's helmet and cape.

Jim's eyes widened.

"I know you will try sir. You saved many before. You also caught them. You did what you wanted to do. There will be times when you can't save everyone, but that's ok."

Bruce nods and looks at Alfred.

"Thank you Al." says Bruce.

"Of course sir." Alfred says and smiles as he walks off.

Bruce sighs and leans back in his chair.

As this is going on, a man is sitting in a chair, outside his trailer, drinking a beer and listening to the radio.

He sits up when he sees a man walk up to him.

"Excuse me? Sir? Is there something you...Wh...are you ok? You look like a clown." says the man.

The man in front of him is in a tux and has green hair, and white skin and has something behind his back. A gun.

He then shoots the man in the head!!!!!!!!!

"So I'll tell you all the story about the joker and the thief in the night."
