Chapter 13 Buying

Katherine POV.

I groan as I sit back in aunt Jade's car again. "Are you ready to go shopping?" she asks me.

Why does she keep asking that question? Like fuck no. "Yeah," I said.

"Good this will be so much fun" she said back.

The car started up and we were on our way to our first stop.

So... I have met another soulmate who wants me back. He's also the son of my aunt's boss... I mean all three of my aunts' boss kids... plus Damian said something about a Drake guy.

He also goes to the same academy... that means I could be close to one of my soulmates for almost eight hours. That's good and happy to know... I hope he is chill with that?

Time skip.

We pull up at a big mall. When we were parked I unlocked my door and bent down and grabbed my bag, "Ok so we are going to start with the school supplies" she said.

I nod my head and place my hand on the door handle and open the door. The chilly wind air wooshed through my hair, "Ok" I said, stepping out of the car and looking around myself.

Holy shit this mall is fucking masvie. This mall is huge.. Bigger than I have ever been to. Dad would get lost in this place.

Aunt Jade walks up beside me and points past me, "We will take that elevator to go to the first or second floor for school supplies" she said. My eyes lock onto the elevator and nod my head.

I fling my bag strap over my shoulder and follow her to the entrance of the elevator. I peak to the side and see her pull out the second handbook the academy gave her and open it to a page, "So we need to get No. 2 pencils, pens multiply colors, erasers, a pouch for your supplies, rulers, personal organizer/calendar, a couple three-ring-binder, blank paper, line paper, graph paper, blank writing books, line writing books, graph writing books, notebooks, and many more stuff i guess you need to get" she said.

Third person POV.

Katherine follows her aunt like a lost puppy. For more than one reason.

1. She has never been here and she didn't know what to do.
2. She missed her soulmates

She listens slightly to her aunt talking about finding her a good looking outfit in her style for the dinner with the Wayne's. Katherine had agreed with her aunt... she does want to look good for herself but also for them. So Katharine just follows her aunt around wherever she has to take her.

Jade grabs her niece's arm stopping her, "Stay here, I'm going to go get a shopping cart fast" she said quickly and left quickly to go find one.

Katherine stayed in the spot her aunt had left in and waited patiently for her to come back. She looks around herself as she waits and is in shock. It was so big.

A minute later Jade was back with a cart and guiding Katherien down the first aisle she saw. "Well we can just start from the aisles and work our way around the store picking up all the stuff you would need for school and for your room" Jade said looking toward Katherine with a smile.

Katherine nods her head with a small smile on her face, "Ok, you're the one with the cart" she said. "But I can pay for it," she adds.

Jade quickly stopped walking, making Katherine bump into her aunt's back. "Sorry" Katherine mumbles out. "It's ok and no. I'm the one buying you all of this stuff. The school supplies, the school clothes, clothes in general, everything" Jade quickly fires out. "Don't forget who I work for. A couple months back I had gotten a raise. I got this" she adds on, more quietly. "Plus I'm also really good at saving... and hustling people too. Probably not as good as you but still good" Jade said.

Jade smirks to herself as she remembers when she was younger. Then she remembers other thoughts and facts about her niece that she got from Dean and seeing her every once in a while. Dean had told her what her favourite color is or what her favorite book, Dean had also told her about the master of Katherines hustling scams. She's a legend. She likes the fact that Katherine liked old fashioned video games and old movies, it was no surprise to find out that she was a big fan of anime or animated shows and movies.

"So I'm paying for everything... I'm not saying you can buy things for yourself but for what a parent is supposed to get I'm going to get it for you" Jade said again. Katherine really didn't know what to say to her except a thank you. She gives her aunt a really genuine smile.

Jade smiled so big at that. She is so happy to get to shop for Katherine... basically spoil her. She has always wanted kids and she never was able to, she's not able to. She has always wanted to spoil her kids and she can't but sense her niece is here she could just spoil her.

Katherine was stunned with her aunt, her whole life is being a hunter, moving around and never having a place to stay put for a bit. They were always moving around and saving people's lives from demons, ghosts, vampires and so on. But she was also scared of not being in control of her powers.

Her aunt wants to help her niece to have the two years with her to have a normal life. Of course she knows that her niece is going to go back to hunting after the two years are done.

Jade just wants to help her niece, she wants to show her everything she is missing out on... she wants her to at least have a couple of years as being just a normal teenager with her.

Katherine POV.

I follow Jade to the first aisle. The card that hung above the top shelves told what they had down the aisle.

Uh... we are actually going down aisle one. Aisle one has papers. Line paper, blank paper, graph paper, color paper, note pads. Sticky notes and some random pens and pencils placed slightly around the shelfs.

My eyes scan the shelfs not knowing what to really grab and place in the cart as my aunt starts to just grab things off the shelf and place them into the cart. Ok I don't know what to really do...? It looks like she gots it so why start placing things in if she already placed stuff in it.

Third person POV.

Katherine would have to agree that she loves art and office supplies. Anytime she went anywhere that could have art supplies she wanted to check on it. She couldn't buy a lot of things since she never had a home to stay and keep her stuff safe. She was only allowed to get things that would fit in a couple of duffles bags and were easy to grab easily if they had to.

But now... since she will be living with her aunt for a couple of years, she's going to be able to buy and keep whatever she wants in a safe place.. Her room.

Katherine smiles and thinks of being able to get what she wants and not being scared of leaving it in a hotel room, or losing it somewhere.

Jade looks back and sees that Katherine wasn't grabbing anything and placing it into the cart, "Grab whatever you want" Jade said. "Again I don't care if you buy something with your own money. But I'm still buying most of things"
